Love your positive and calming vibe, Mike! I'm surprised Oliver had never heard of microaggression before. Nice to see your connection with each other, looking forward to the next podcast!
As a Thai born and raised in Germany, I can absolutely relate to Mike's point of facing casual racism. They often think that I'm a Tourist or some sort or eldery People who assume that I dont speak the language. It never felt like home.
Besides "Thailand the Land of Smiles" that you know, we also have another name that we use among ourselves: "Thailand the Land of Compromise." We know that all Thais can get angry easily, just like people in your country, but we have been taught from childhood to adulthood that we must help each other. Even with our country's leaders, the king, the spiritual leader of the Thai people, tells us that we must love and unite. When there are issues or problems, we must know how to compromise and forgive each other. This does not apply only to Thais but also to foreigners. We have always been taught that we must help take care of and assist visitors to our country, as they are guests who honor us by visiting. They will then spread the positive experiences they had in Thailand, encouraging them to return and bring their friends, making our country their second home. This saying has been passed down since the Ayutthaya Kingdom and continues to the present day. 😅😅😅
The first episode, and the quality of the podcast is already quite good! It’s refreshing to watch you both talk directly to the camera, rather than sitting in chairs and talking to each other like other podcasts.
I really like you guys!! I look forward to much more content. Traveling to Thailand is on my bucket list so I would love to learn more about the culture, see the scenery, places you guys travel in Thailand, food, etc. It’s also fun and interesting to just see your everyday lives in Thailand too!! Best wishes from Texas USA 🇺🇸😀❤
Would love to hear more about the 5 year travel. How you decided where to go, where to stay, how you were making an income, and the build up of life in the UK that made you leave
I'm glad you've found a nice place to settle down and become roommates so you don't get bored or lonely sometmes. I like to see the rest of your house. Maybe next time you can show around the house what it looks alike. I can't wait to watch every episodes coming out very soon !
You two guys are so awesome together and can hardly wait to see your next podcast, and adventures. I spent a year in Thailand years ago and it was quite an adventure. ✌🏻🫶🏻
I enjoy watching it. looking forward to more of it. I like the slow pace of the video and like to listen to soft spoken person talking to each other. It calms me down after stressful day. I am Thai living alone as an expat in SG and it does not felt like home after so many years of living here so I want to retire in Thailand one day too :)
I’m so excited to see more of these! I would love for the podcasts to be longer! And it would be awesome to see Oliver learning Thai and speaking some. ❤😆🙏🏽🔥
Love from Finland to you guys ❤ This was awesome, a great start. Keep up doing this, you interact with each other perfectly, and it's great also in the manner you just did it, a bit like interviewing, especially now in the beginning. HUGS to you both 🤗🤗🤗
Nice! Another channel worth subscribing. I'd like to watch you guys compare the different cultures/food you experience in Thailand with other countries you've visited.
It’s so adorable to see you two talking and looking into each other’s eyes. I feel shy watching it. I’ll be eagerly waiting for your next clip. With love from a Thai fan😊❤
Interesting content. I plan to retire in Philippines because my partner is there, but have thought about Thailand as an alternative. It's the people, the culture, and Thai Buddhism that draw me toward Thailand. I've visited once, and I'm quite certain I've watched more hours of Thai dramas than anything from the west. Asia feels more like home to me, and it's a tie between Thailand and Philippines for me. Thanks for sharing your perspectives on why you moved to Thailand.
Thoroughly enjoy your clip. Already subscribed. By the way the cloth on the sofa, the picture on the left and the lamp on the right are almost in the same shape. What a coincidence 😂
It's 1:30 am in Bangkok right now and I've been listening to you guys until the end of this clip. At first I was a little surprised, I thought Mike had changed his UA-cam channel name 😂 I wish you both success in everything you set out to do // I've already subscribed to this channel.
I like watching your podcast, love to hear and learn views from foreigner who living in Thailand. 28 mins is ok for me but I am not sure if you just talking in next 2-3 clips you may use picture/photo or set up any props since this lead up to visualize to watch Good luck
🎉🎉 Good for you.
Thought this was a gay couple video that was recommended to me.... but I ended up staying because your legs kept touching other lolol. Can't wait for more episodes. Very entertaining. You're both funny! Subscribed. Can't wait to hear more on your Thailand experiences.
Ive been traveling solo since Covid, Ive been to 65 countries so far, Im currently living in Australia, Im still looking for a place to live, I will continue traveling but I definitely need a home. btw I bought the same orange lamp
I am Thai but now living in Germany. I would say about Thai people, they are some who are aggressive on the road but not that much and we are also have crime but in fewer percent, I guess. My favorite things in Thailand is about food, It's not only amazing food but it's also how easy to just go out and then having some street food even during the night. If you got paid much enough, you can live with a good life in Bangkok but in another way, there are a lot of gap for socioeconomic here. If you don't have that much support, it's very difficult to live. The minimum wage is low compare with cost of living. I moved out from Thailand because I am very annoying when I faced with unequality in Thai society. I dont' like when rich or milionaire have much more priviledge than normal people. If one day, Thailand have a good political and treat everyone eqaully, I will go back to Thailand for sure
But , during June July August September , Bangkok and Thailand has very clean air quality during this time of year , even better than Japan. Jan Feb Mar has the worst air quality. Please get air purifier for your health and safety.
Well this is cool. Never heard of you but I was watching another fav YTer channel & this showed up in my YT feed. i was watching YT channel called Ethan Travels. He lives van life on the road in U.S. But before that he lived in Thailand for a year...chronicled on his channel. I also have a neighbor from Thailand so everything kinda just flows in my life. I subscribed. Good luck guys
You guys both seem really cool and genuine. I don't think you're contributing to the wrong people moving to BKK but for the guys who use UA-cam and other outlets to promote the sex tourism industry in Asia, I hope UA-cam shuts their channels down.
I am Thais living in the UK for study. Once I come to the UK (came??), I really want assistance from the local here in Brighton (I think they were student but british born and not brightonian). The local did not help me I really shock when they did that (1 year half ago) and I felt that the individualism ( I know UK is the western which always like this) and capitalism here really disrupt this country and how this make effect in the long-term (brian drain possibly in the future). The whites always flight on the street and sometimes they put the bottle glass on the street. All transportation in the ghetto and limbo as delay, cancel and the level of clean. I still remaining go on the journey study here by 1 year and half and when I graduated I will absolutely go find job in Thailand after I will think again where I want to learn in Master degree ( Possibly in the UK but I wanna pause from this land as well). Well, I think once I landed UK first few week, I felt that it used to be good countries to do but now all in ghetto and limbo (aka chaos).
Hopefully you can provide some advice, you or someone who reads this. I applied to Bangkok University for my masters and got in. I have heard it is hard for a foreginer (white person specifically) to get a media job in Thailand. Would you or anyone say this is accurate or do you have other experiences?
Can’t wait to record the next one!
Aww Oli❤ lots of love 💝

I just wanted to say that the area you live in is quite expensive for Thais to live in long term. Anyway, have fun living in the country. 😊

Okay, I subscribed. This is decent. Okay it's good. Fine, I said it.
