Derrick Tabb and the Roots of Music

Derrick Tabb, snare drummer for the Rebirth Brass Band, also founded The Roots of Music a non-profit organization that takes at-risk youth and gives them free music lessons, tutoring and a hot meal after school.
Featured by CNN, HBO and SPIN Magazine, the Roots of Music has quickly grown to being one of the great success stories of post-Katrina New Orleans.
Brass Roots is proud to work with the Roots of Music in developing videos and other media to expand their message and brand.
