my handbrake cable broke a couple of weeks ago when I swapped new tires :) this video came in perfect time :)

Thanks Neil, just replaced my cables (first work on any car besides an oil change) and it was a breeze! My set of cables also came with new metal brackets, so no need for pliers to keep the old one from bending

Neil sugestions for another video is brake problems like rear caliper pad replacement and brake bleeding with ABS to get a good firm pedal
Good guide! Any chance you could do a tutorial on replacing the rear subframe on a 147? This is something I'm looking to do soon but a bit scared to tackle it

Great tutorial! Some advice please?: I'm missing a bracket on my 147 on the exhaust side.
I think it's a metal clip that's riveted onto the heat-shield.
Is this a common thing to disappear?
It's not like the 147 driver-side plastic clip on the fuel tank strap (intact) as that's the same as the 156 on both sides in your vid...
Hello Neil, my antenna radio is broken, only got the base without the nut, the one goes inside the base, my car is an alfa romeo 156 sedan, and no get a clue, how to reach to replace, any advice or help. Thank you Neil.
After adjusting 13mm handbrake nut to get car to hold when in gear you Didn’t check if after releasing handbrake both wheels spun freely

Neil, sorry for going off-topic, but I have to ask - do you have a video of removing the trim where the rear passenger's seat belts come from? If not, any tips for tackling the job and directions? Car is a 147 pre-facelift. Thanks!
You will need a trim clip removal tool. There's about 5 screws to.

Great vid 👍🏼 does the 147 have a handbrake warning light on dash? I can pull away with handbrake on and no light comes up

I have an aftermarket novitec handbrake handle for my 147,no instructions with it & it's doesn't slide over the rubber handle. Do I need to cut off the rubber handle?
slides over then tightened up with Allen head screws normally.

if you have the adjusted in the same place its the same.
My handbrake has started seizing. Will replacement of the cables fix that?

Just to report, cable replacement fixed my problem! :) Bought ate cables and all is well and pretty easy to replace if you have a pit (or a lift).
