It's so nice to see a booktuber mention that they've had an unread book for "so long" and it turns out not be from like 2022.
Haha sadly I am old now 😂
I agree. If it hasn't been sitting there for 4-5 years... It hasn't been that long. 😂
I do find it funny when people talk about "old" books, like I'm reading two series right now. The first book in Sue Grafton's alphabet series was published in 1982, and I'm also reading the Da Vinci Code books by Dan Brown from the 2000s.
I’ve felt so conflicted when it comes to getting rid of books that I really enjoyed but have accepted that if I don’t ever want to reread them, there’s no point in keeping them
I am loving this series so much, i don't know why but seeing people unhaul books is more satisfying to me than seeing them haul books 😂
You should add a little note to each stack to determine the number range! So first stack 1-28, second 29-47 etc etc.!
I thought that too, but when she pulls books out each time the numbers change.
I love this series and it's inspired me to start a series of my own called Read it or Reap to try and clear my bedroom floor of overflow books! I'm currently on my first book- the Doll Factory by Elizabeth Macneal and am enjoying it so far!
Whoa! Fabulous title. Hope it works well for you
@@sorenkrane thank you! I've had an idea for a series called that for a year or so but Becca helped me decide exactly what I'm going to do with it!
Omg I was sitting over here looking at my massive overflow pile and I think I'm gonna do something not similar but maybe number generator my TBR cart and get it cleared!
@@enchantedrosebooks yay go for it!!
Read It or Reap is just too good 🙌🏻
Keep the stacks at 20 books a piece and when you take one out adjust them back to 20. Then if you roll book 53, you can just count 20 (1st stack), 40 (2nd stack), and then 41 to 53 in the 3rd stack. Or count up from the bottom of the 3rd stack from 60 to 53.
I have 60 books on my TBR . Something I've figured out is that you don't have to buy books the minute they come out. However I still haven't been able to put that in practice.
I try to take pictures of books because I'm overflowing my shelves
Had zero clue that spotify had 15 hours of free audiobooks. thank you so much!!
Loving this series! I think it’s such a clever way to add to your shelves. I say, keep DNF-ing there is only so much time, no need to waste it on a book you know you won’t like.
I grew up reading and loving Greek Mythology. I cannot imagine anyone NOT wanting to go on such a trip.
I can say though that even if I had the financial means to go and didn't have debt currently that I still could not afford to take that much time off of work.
I need every paycheck. I know I'm not your target audience probably. I know not everyone is struggling. I am just saying as a single female, with expensive fur children, debt, and regular bills- these trips sound great but impossible for a few years if not longer. 😐💜
I love this series though and your videos in general. I'm so glad you started this project! 🙂👍🏻
Love this. I have a shelf full of beautiful subscription box books that i never seem to get to and you inspired me to use the random number method. Which led me to actually read The Scarlett Alchemist which is my best read of the year so far.
Thanks for all your great conent and good luck with the second coat.
37:00 curly hair, use wide tooth comb 👍 I have naturally curly hair as well that also goes flat after a day or two and the wide tooth comb changed my life ❤
Okay...I absolutely need that "I need money, not feelings" shirt.
It was really nice hearing you talk about Children of Blood and Bone. Though I read it so long ago I barely remember what happens, my enjoyment of it has stayed with me, and I often think about what happened to the series.
I didn't know you were a film studies student! Love this part of the Becca Origin Story. I got my master's and went for my PhD in cinema and media studies. Small world.
So ready for the second installment!!! 🎉❤
Rachel Griffin is one of my favorites. All her stories are in PNW and her landmarks are real places. The wall colors are like velvet, good choices. Cheers.
I've been waiting for this 🤩🤩🤩 I actually adored A Thousand Pieces of You when i read it in 2021 and gave it 5 stars!!! I love this series!!!
I loved that book too, and it's been forever since I read it also lol
Loving this! I am doing a similar challenge for myself clearing out my TBR that's over a year old and it's motivating to find more people doing their own challenges. Also I love the black and grey paints!
So I hated Children of Blood and Bone. I felt like the author threw every single trope she could in there. I still decided to read the second one. I have vivid memories sitting in my husbands (home) office chair (idk why) and spinning in circles from the frustration I had. I ended up ranting to him lol. Just like you caught the character growth was too fast, book two had some characters personality just completely shift, out of nowhere) I decided then and there to not read book 3, even tho it ended in a major cliff hanger.
If you want a similar book but actually written well - NK Jemisin’s Broken Earth Trilogy.
ahhh been waiting for this !!!!! so motivating
continue to love this series - can't wait for more! :)
Love the new series! I think it's a great way to get through those unread books that you just can't quite seem to pick up as easily as others.. However, I will say that the themes of Ace of Spades and the way it's written is way more realistic than one would think. Can't wait to see the next installment in this series! ❤
Really love this project! I might try a version of this for my own stacks!
Still absolutely love this serie ! I am not a vlog girlie generally but really enjoying this kind. I did enjoy your roll as you go bookopoly serie from last year which I guess is kinda similar.
This is one of my new favorite series, I’m going to be eagerly anticipating each video! I love the concept so much 😊
Two books on my TBR here so found this video very useful! Really love this project!
This is such a fun project!! Can't wait for the next one ❤❤❤
I love this series. I kind of do a similar thing, except I put books I bought more recently on my shelves, and the books that don’t fit on my shelves are books that have been on my TBR the longest.
Love this series - could watch one of these every single week :D
I love this idea you are one of favorite UA-cam channels I have come across. I started watching when I was in middle school and now, I am on my second year of college!!!
Omg wow you’ve been watching so long 😭😭
love love the colours you chose for the bedroom! :D
Yesss ❤ I love this series!
LOVE this series and already looking forward to the next episode! 😄
We've had every single way to shelve or scrap books in this episode I think. Very satisfying!
My favorite series currently on UA-cam.
Becca, I am so jealous of your editions of the Beautiful Creatures saga!
Great series so far. I would recommend putting the books in stacks of 20 to make the random selection process a little faster for you. So you don't have to count through the books every time you want to select one. And if you remove a book from a full stack of 20 just shift a book that's in a not full stack into the full stack.
God I love that room!! ❤❤❤ that color is absolutely beautiful, now i want to paint my room black!
I can’t wait to see what the furniture looks like
The first shelve it or scrap it video brought me to your channel!
I'm kinda doing the same, I'm doing the ABC challenge with the books I actually own, I'm missing probably 5 letters, but might do the challenge until I have no more books left 😅
Thanks sis, I've been waiting for this video, and this is the best time, I have over 300 invoices to sort for work!!
So happy you’ve posted this today🤩
I really liked Children of Blood and Bone but the 2bd and 3rd books took so long to be announced/released that I’ve ended up reading book 1 twice and I still haven’t continued on with the series🙃
As a curly person, I love this look for you
This was so fun to watch! I love that your creative and fresh idea was properly rewarded! Your thoughts on Ace of Spades and Children of Blood and Bone were pretty much what I expected lol I',m happy to see you've made progress with your bedroom and book stacks!
Loving this series! I was one of the few people who loved children of blood and bone and equally loved the sequel 😅 but also was good to hear your thoughts on ace of spades as that one is waiting for me on my shelf!
Children of Blood and Bone is amazing!!! First is a little better than the second but I loved them both. Tomi has taken a bit of time in between books but I’m hoping that was worth it, she’s not rushing and putting quality effort into them!! Pls read!!
Edit as I watched the rest of the video: so glad you started this :) I love it so much
Addicted to this series and the suspense each time! Also whatever keratin smoothing product you use, I need it in my life 👀
I love this video series 😍 I also really enjoy Rachel Griffin's books
How did i not know you were a film student before now?? I'm slacking on my Becca lore
i don’t remember her ever saying it in a vlog 😅 i’ve been watching her since 2021 and didn’t know that either so don’t worry lol
I love this series! It's so satisfying when you get to squeeze another one on the shelf 💕
Absolutely loving this series!
Already looking forward to part 3! 🤘🏻📚
I absolutely love this series so far. Also, not everything came out in 2016 :P Made me laugh every time
I hated Children of Blood and Bone! I liked the premise and world, but the very YA/ insta-love romance ruined it for me 😂
I love this series! it makes me want to read my tbr💪🏻📖🫶🏻
Absolutely LOVE this new series, I cant wait to see the next episode. So much fun!
I've just come across your channel by chance, and I've been binging your content! I love your insight and opinion on books and especially love your vlogs! ❤
🫶🫶🫶🫶
Princess of Souls was a one star read for me, so I think you dodged a bullet there!
omg i gave so many of these 5 stars! i wish i had this much organization and intention when it comes to what enters and exits my shelves lol love this series!
Love this series so much! Such a great idea. Can’t wait for the next installment 😁
I am obsessed with this series 🥰 cant wait for episode 3!
Your hair looked amazing with the heatless curls technique!
I love this series so much! Also very motivating to work on my own physical tbr
I'm so glad someone else felt the same way about Ace of Spades - the only thing that pulled it down for me was that some elements felt unrealistic in the way it was portrayed because it seemed to come out of nowhere.
Absolutely loving this series and this installment!
I love these! Definitely inspiring to help everyone unhaul or keep our on the fence books. Also love the bedroom color choices! Looks amazing!
this is such a cool concept for a video! Can't wait for the next one!
I would kill to go on that Greece trip but I just can't afford it unfortunately!
Loving this series! It motivates me to get books off my never ending tbr 🙈
The Black looks better than i thought it would. I was worried that it might be too depressing for what is supposed to be a calming space. I have cream walls and the warmth comes from coloured throws, bedding, low lighting and Candles.
I love this series! I cannot wait for the next episode 😊
loving this series so much!
I went to Crete the other year and loved it. Hope you get enough people to join you
Love this series. I should try something like this. I have sooooo many piles on the floor!
Loving this series Becca! It’s also so motivating to encourage me to take a look at my own stacks!
This video motivated me to go through my books and start pulling piles of books that I need to decide if I’m going to uhaul. I also have no more space on my shelves
I LOVE THIS SERIES!
Loving this series Becca! Children of blood and bone was a 3 star for me, the second book was a 2 star and I read them both around 2019/2020. I’d have to reread at this point to read the 3rd and I’ve unhauled a long time ago. If I were you I’d finish at book 1, you have so many other books that you are so excited to read, prioritise them over something that you are not sure on. With regards to the trip, I’d love to come but honestly just can’t afford it 😢❤
Oh my god, children of blood and bone! What a throwback!
Had the best Time watching this Video :)
i am loving these episodes
This series is brilliant, I love how you are tackling your tbr. I also liked Children of Blood and Bone. I thought the second book was ok but not as good as the first. I ended up unhauling them because of the long wait for book 3, I was no longer interested in continuing 🤷🏼♀️
You have the Kushiel's Dart series!!! I never see that one on anyone's shelves ❤❤
I’m loving this series so far. It makes me want to do something similar even though I don’t have an overflow pile yet 😂😂
I love this series so much😍😍
❤❤❤ Love this series !!! and the bedroom updates 🎉
ah man I was looking forward to your verdict of Princess of Souls 😂😂 but I think I won't buy it because no one else talks about it 😂
The Ace of Spades audio was good from what I remember~~~ also I didn't know Curtis uses the bike as well 🎉
I love this series Can't wait for part 3
I find it hard to unhaul books to the point that I now have overspills like you but mine are in 3 different rooms in my house lol
I love this series.
ayyy this series is my new obsession❤️
also water for elephants is the book you show putting in the unhaul pile in the intro so I guess it ended up there for that clip?
I noticed that when I was proofing the video last night 😭😭 oops 😂
I just finished Wild is the Witch yesterday and felt the same! I needed a fun time and I got a fun time
To be honest the Trova Trips are just super pricey and especially for Greece considering the 2-3k is without flights you can do this soooooo much cheaper for a 7 day stay even with all the meals and trips. Greece and especially Crete is not expensive. We have been there for a 10 day stay with a car, stayed in 4 different locations and went out for food every night and I'd say we spend max. 1k on it with flights, accommodation, car, food and entry fees as well as gift shopping etc. So I think that's why people are not so quick to jump on it.
I definitely understand where you’re coming from, Trovatrips are not the cheapest, but I don’t necessarily think the price is the main issue. I’ve hosted trips before that were more expensive and didn’t have the same issue.
With group trips, you definitely get a different experience than a regular trip you plan yourself. I have also been to Europe (although not Greece) for much cheaper, but when I do, I don’t have airport transfers, or a tour guide to handle logistics, take part in tours/activites, or have an anxiety free, smooth running trip.
I definitely get Trova isn’t for everyone and you can always go on holiday for less, but for those that want this kind of trip/experience, I don’t think price is so much the issue as it is timing/itinerary 😊
I love this series!
Love this series! Patiently waiting for you to read The Prison Healer.... 👀
So wish I could help fill out the Greece trip, but alas, I can't afford it
Loveee this series!!
Oh man. I would love to travel to Greece, but as a teacher October is towards the beginning of the new school year.
also - love the color combo you went with!
I am SAT. so excited for this video!!!
I’d LOVE to do this Greek trip w/you Becca, just can’t this year. Moving over the summer and trying to pay down dept means I won’t have the funds to play this year 😭. I do hope you can fill the trip and have a wonderful time! Love this video series you’re doing as well, so much fun!
I really enjoy this series!🥰 I feel the same about thrillers, once I’ve read them I rarely feel the need to keep them! I give Ace of Spades 4.5⭐️ nut it was a 5⭐️ prediction! I really enjoyed the build up but some of themes were very on the nose! Excited for the authors second book that’s released this month tho😄
