Actually, "authentification" is a lot closer to how it is in a lot of other languages like german, french...
In english, the word "authentification" does also exist, the meaning being only slightly off from "authentication".
From what I found researching, "authentification" doesn't exist in the english language; it's the French word for authentication.
Wiktionary says otherwise.

Google introduced Tez (for India) a few months back and it directly links to your bank account. Don't need to separately transfer your money from your Apple pay cash (which is essentially one of the hundreds of digital wallets available like PayPal, PayTM etc) to your bank account.
Tez directly transfers money to and from different bank accounts instantly, not in a couple of business days, in a streamlined interface.
apple pay cash is now charging 1% of transaction with a minimum 0.25 and 10.00 max.
Apple Pay Cash is now we’re I store all my Daily Cash from the Apple Card. As of March 2020, the Apple Card is the only card that gives me a nice return that is safe from the COVID-19 Panic.

This is what the fine print says in the Apple Pay Cash statement:
The Apple Pay Cash card and person to person payments with Apple Pay are services provided by Green Dot Bank, member FDIC ("we" or "us"). This statement includes both transactions involving your Apple Pay Cash card and person to person payments that are funded with a supported payment card you have added to Wallet. However, the summary fee totals included on this statement only reflects the fees that are applied against your Apple Pay Cash card.

So it’s not a payment method it’s just an app so you can transfer it to your bank card?
Actually, 2 factor authentication only requires you to put in a trusted number which the security system can send a message or call. 2 factor eliminates security questions and cuts AppleCare from being able to help you recover your account. It never asks for photo ID as is not a financial institution.
I love it when I use Samsung pay just about anywhere and the clerk goes "Sorry we don't have Apple Pay". I continue to tap the phone and watch how suprised they are that it work. Then I say "It's Samsung pay". 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I only recently started using an iphone because I wanted to use Apple Pay mainly to avoid touching a dirty credit card terminal. I thought that it would be a contact-less transaction. Meaning I authenticate using Touch ID and not have to enter a PIN and answer questions on the store credit card terminal. Turns out that's not the case. So I wonder what's the advantage of using Apple Pay? I might as well use my debit card since it's easier than pulling out my phone?
My question is does using Apple Cash get rid of entering the PIN? Are there fees for using Apple Cash in stores? Does Apple charge fees for moving money either to or from the card from your bank account?

In Canada, we’ve had NFC in our debit/credit cards for years before Apple Pay was a thing. So most places already had debit/credit machines that were already capable of using Apple Pay when it came out. No, our cards do not have batteries, the NFC chip works on the tiny amount of power received from the card reader. Hotel room keys also work like that in most newer hotels.
Graham Clarence same as in the US. I’ve used my galaxy next with google wallet since 2011 to pay everywhere. When Apple Pay came out lots of places got new readers and I thought it was strange. Even my old chase debt cards had nfc.

We need it in England. It is inconvenient to have to give details every time someone wants to give you money and that is the only easy way to avoid the notes with animal body parts in (the notes in England are polymer notes made from dead cows).

Apple Pay cash makes it super easy to split bills for stuff. You can instantly send money on the spot. Normally going through a bank would take 3-10 days to send someone money. Apple Pay cash is instant.

But how do I SPEND Apple Cash? Not send it in a message, but SPEND it making an online purchase?
Why not just use your actual debit card? Like with Apple Pay it basically just types all that info in.
But anyways, just make Apple Cash your default payment. That’s how.

Apple doesn't need to charge a fee for AP cash, because they will earn interest just from holding all your cash. Tbh AP cash sounds like it's not as convenient as normal internet banking transfer if it takes "a couple of working days" to transfer to your bank account. Although I like the idea of keeping some cash on the card that you can still use everywhere.
I don’t understand where the money is coming from. I do nothing but money keeps being added almost daily to my Apple Cash card. Sometimes it’s a few dollars. Then it becomes a hundred dollars. Where is it coming from?

Doesnt a physical card defeat the entire purpose of mobile payments? The reason they are more secure is because the merchant never sees your card information because you didn’t swipe or insert your card.Even tap to pay like we have in Canada is not as secure as Apple pay.

There’s only a transaction fee for Apple Pay cash if using a credit card. And that’s just for Apple to cover the credit cards transaction fees.

Apple Pay cash was just about as easy and fast as setting up Face ID in my experience
Square Cash takes 1% for immediate transactions and no fee if you wait 1-3 days for transfer
