I was reading Wikipedia's article on time signatures, and when I got to complex time signatures I couldn't wrap my head around how Sedi Donka's beat worked. This video helped out a lot. Thanks so much!
Nice. This kind of music is usually played on a bowed instrument called gadulka. Without a bow they have to resort to tremolo picking and in some places this sounds very weird if you are accustomed to the original style of playing.
no but actually, he's just relaxing and letting the music move him. also, he's very focused on the music, and there's not really room in that kind of concentration for worrying about what you look like.
Denominator only dictates notation, not rhythm. The 25 numerator is the only thing that ultimately matters. The denominator can be any wholly-numbered power of two, including 1 (i.e., the zeroth power). Of course, there are also irregular time signatures, but many people, including some academics, are afraid of those, so thas to some idiots, they often go undiscussed.

Fantastic facility !
This is so far above 99.9% of mere mortals is insane. They just act like it’s nothing.
I love this song. Wish I could find the sheet music for it.
Nice time signature 7/8+7/8+11/8 (322 322 22322)
1:16 That's so metal. Bulgarian Metal
Super!
Can you believe that this is a dance!!!?
Gabriel Soileau I've been dancing to this stuff for 40 years .
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease make it happen!
It’s in 25/16 I think. For the time signature.
7/8, 7/8, 11/8 so, yeah, 25.
But I’m counting
7 (3, 2, 2) 7 (3, 2, 2) 11 (4, 3, 2, 2)

well done! Although it's in a compound meter, the dance isn't difficult. See this video for the steps: Sedi Donka, Bulgarian folk dance
It's look easy because in this video are dancers from Romania. Check this one to see how actually looks like ua-cam.com/video/YG5MNYfJWmQ/v-deo.html
There should be a djent cover of this
Dear God, no.
@racoonsmith YEAH
@TheMeatballMen WOW
Dancers would call this SQQ-SQQ-QQSQQ (S= 2 beats, Q=3 beats)
My they have fast fingers.
why does chris always look stoned when he plays?
@vmileva
25/16 doesnt make any sense in this.
It'd have to be 25/8

*thanks* to some idiots
Makes no difference.
7/8, 7/8, 11/8 or 7/16, 7/16, 11/16
I’m counting
7 (3, 2, 2) 7 (3, 2, 2) 11 (4, 3, 2, 2)
because music is a drug.
