I've had many no-buy failed starts, which is telling of my addictive tendency. I've always loved perfume but started to collect fragrances about 4 years ago. I now have more than 200 bottles and of those, only truly love about 50 of them. I also feel the same guilt and will follow your channel in an effort to keep my own no-buy in check. I want my no-buy to last until Christmas 2023, and then only buy one every year from there. Good luck on your no-buy!

I'm just returning to wearing fragrance daily after a long hiatus. I have severe migraines and it was just easier to stop all fragrance than try to figure out what worked and what didn't. I was also a signature fragrance kind of person. Now I'm back, watching youtube videos and buying way too many. So, thank you, I appreciate your video today.
Hi, Ann🤗! Migraines and perfumes are no friends for sure. I also suffer from severe headaches from time to time and wearing any perfume makes it worst. Some breaks are not bad also for our overexposed and tires noses. I find that after a break we tend to smell better and experience more of the notes? Or maybe it's just me 😅 😘
I’m on a low buy. Currently focused on using up what I have especially the ones that are not loves. I have four subscriptions and that helps with the curiosity. I set up a separate checking account that I fund on auto so I can reward myself when I’m ready to buy again with criteria. I’m learning that it is more satisfying to have only those perfumes that truly perform for me!

However, buying decants can be another expensive habit. For me at least 😅 It is good to reward yourself. It sweetens up this hard process 😘

I look at reviews of perfumes on you tube and want to get the same experience as them so I seek these perfumes out online and compulsive buy. My husband gets very annoyed with me and rightly so😱. Its definitely an addiction like any other. I think the key is to just enjoy what you have and rotate them so that you can use them up! I will take a leaf out of your book!!!!!
Hi, Ann! ♥️ I so understand you. It is hard to stop buying but I am trying to discover my triggers and to be more rational in my Perfume buying habits. For exemple, I realized that when my kids get ill I am most tempted to compulsive buy. Also Facebook groups are for me a big temptation. I will try to do a video each month to share my progress/ experience in this no buy journey and be really honest also about my fails. Stay strong but at the end of the day, don't forget that we are only humans 💞😘
I agree. My goal isn’t to buy just to buy. I buy what I love. If I blind buy, it’s because I have researched the notes. On my channel I’ve reviewed blind buys so we’ll see how it continues to go. I just subbed. I like the vibe here. ❤️ alien so thanks for sharing the similar one.

It does feel terrible to make blind buys that go wrong and to feel guilty or disappointed with a hobby that once brought joy. It is good to take a hard look at it and to have given yourself a goal in regard to purchasing. It will feel rewarding when you meet your goal. Hopefully you can find ways to make fun videos. I have seen a few interesting themes as of late. Perhaps you have too? Such as five fragrance loves and 5 fragrance dislikes. Gothic fairytale themed fragrances with a selection of fragrances that would suit your chosen characters. I am sure you can pull from what you have to create some fun content. I enjoy honest reviewers and I think there are some who turned a corner and didn't stop to their own peril. So glad that you could share where you are at. - Jenn

I have "only" 20 fragrances and i feel the same as you. If I had 50 or 60 i would probably want to buy 61 the next day. So i decided the same. After I finish one or two of them i will buy next one. 😁

At what point does it become gluttonous? Lol. I started blind buying during the pandemic. I had let my collection get out of hand twice. At this point I have 69 in my collection and I haven’t bought any in a while. Would like to have 50 to be reasonable. I will be more selective in the future.
