I love how the "Rules and regulations" came out the week before Blood & Guts, but we also know that these rules won't apply to the EVPS, Jericho, or Moxley. Hell, one of the rules says to cut back on bleeding. It's also embarrassing that these rules came out 4 years after the company has seen multiple injuries and potential lawsuits. These all should have been enforced on Day 1. We will see how strickly they are enforced and who the apply to, but this is a strip in the right direction. Of course, many AEW diehard are losing their minds because "Oh No AEW is becoming more like WWE with its boring rules." Here's what I got from that statement. When you look at the list of agents in AEW, you legitimately have some of the best minds out there. I have a hard time believing that Dean Malenko or Arn Anderson would approve the matches we have been seeing in AEW. It is clear that the wrestlers are not listening, as Billy Gunn, JR, and others have said in various interviews. It sounds like the purpose of the list is to tell the wrestlers to start listening to the agents. For once, Tony is trying to lead. He is essentially telling the wrestlers that there will be consequences if they do not listen to the agents. He is trying to give the agents some authority so that they can institute some quality control. We'll see if he follows through.

Part of the allure of aew was doing the things wwe are too scared to do.
This list is more strict than wwe.
I have no issue with safety and toning down a few things but I don't want a situation when tna tried to be great value wwe.
And I don't want WBD interfering to a level where you don't recognize the show anymore. Its a slippery slope especially when you got a potential billion dollar deal looming but I've been watching how wbd moves and zavlav is a moron and I don't want him ruining aew like he's doing with DC

Look at Danielson he got hurt from a top rope elbow drop from Okada. Two of the best who know what they're doing and he got hurt from a basic move.
Like I said I don't mind toning down certain things and nothing is being banned really they just need to tell people b4 it happens.
But this seems way too familiar to how AOL got involved with wcw and how bischoff ruined tna cause essentially this thier attempt to cater to a "mainstream audience ". Since wcw and ecw closed Whenever a new company gets to a certain level the powers that be whether it's a TV company or management itself begins the WWEfacation of the product and in the process the company loses the identity of why people loved it to begin with.
No one wants these wrestlers to get hurt. I hate that narrative The wrestlers are the ones who want to do that dangerous stuff. I'm not advocating Moxley blading every match or Sammy Guevara thinking he's Spiderman jumping off the statute of liberty.
But like I said I like aew because at timed it is raw and rough around the edges and not so polished and pristine looking. The wrestlers for better or worse are allowed to be themselves. And I dint want that to go away judt for the sake of being thinking this will make wbd happy

These spots just tend to feed upon themselves. Because they are so inherently dangerous they look overly participatory so the workers don't actually kill themselves. The fans see these overly-participatory spots and see the workers helping each other out. So the fans no longer suspend their disbelief in terms of believing the workers are really trying to hurt each other and have a real, competitive match.
Instead the fans view it as the workers trying to inflict some pain upon themselves and come as close as they can to permanently injuring themselves and the other worker is helping them achieve that. So the emotion eventually becomes more and more about how much these guys actually hurt themselves and how close they can come to permanently injuring themselves instead of having a competitive match that people care about who wins and who loses and how they win or lose.

So, now that these rules are public knowledge:

    * How much backstage drama will there be when one wrestler is told they aren't approved for a move but somebody else is?
    * What happens when a wrestler injures another wrestler with one of these "pre-approval required" moves? Is AEW more or less liable? Or does it make any legal difference?

The line Jim Cornette said around 14:00-14:04 makes me laugh...
"Chairs, chains, bottles, rocks, bricks, dicks, pots, pans & tin cans.".

This is great news. Maybe now each match will start to feel different. They can start to move away from Indy Wrestling to TV wrestling.

There are a few people on AEWs roster I'd trust to hard way me, but the list is short. In no particular order
    Sting
    CM Punk
    Arn Anderson
    Christian Cage
    FTR
    Mark Bricoe
If I'm missing anyone, feel free to add on to the list!

Not having watched wrestling for more than 25 years (due to not liking how wrestling has turned out), and thus not having watched what is currently on TV, if modern wrestlers are unable to get their matches over by strictly what is done in the ring (without all the ECW-related garbage), then they shouldn't be working in the business.

This is a direct result of The Men and Women on Collision providing great in ring action weekly without excess bullish!t . They’ve proven it can work, now everyone must fall in line . It’s a positive, this will make when stuff on the list can be used special !
