Just found you, love that you love and look after your dog like you do. I'm going to really enjoy following you, thanks for taking us along with you. From Scotland where its very wet ! Take care of yourself and Shannon 🙂
The aireal footage at the end with the exciting music was an awesome unexpected treat! From experience, i know those kinds of hikes, especially when warm or hot, can take a lot out of a person; it is great exercise. We'll done!
@@MountainSpringsAdventuresi apologize I couldn't find a video regarding your roof rack I own a 2008 as well.. I wanted info on your rack and mpg before the rack and mpg after the rack with box... Thank you
In early videos, you mentioned the Prius will turn on a couple times an hour. If you’re camping in a campground with neighbors. How loud is the Prius when it starts? Does it wake everyone up? Wake you up? Thank you for your great videos. You do a wonderful job. I hope all is well.
A really nice episode! Beautiful country and a challenging hike. Also, your drone footage is really awesome, so keep that up. I am subbed now because I want you to keep doing this, and I know you need an audience to make YT a paying activity. Hang in there, Bo. Your content and your adventures keep getting better and better! One day you will be too old for this (like me these days), so it's good to be doing it now. Stay safe and drink it in!
That was a crazy hike for short-legged Shannon...aka: Wonderdog, bet you both slept well that night! You do an amazing job editing since you have to find a library to do your editing. Drone footage/music superb, so just do what your favorite vloggers do and yours will become polished!
Hi Bo, thank you indeed for sharing your adventures, experience, and learning with all of us. I found your videos particularly informational and inspiring, the way you convey your content seems genuine and honest. Hoping to see more videos from you and getting to know your updates! Wish you all the best!
Wow. I did 4 day hikes in the Supes a few years ago while on vacation in Phoenix. But not Superstition Mountain itself. Great history and lore of the Lost Dutchman's Goldmine!
Thanks for sharing, this is my favorite video. I think you did a great job with adding the music and using the drone to capture the mountain views. Keep up the great work.
How awesome! Hey Bo, if ya wanna come up towards Lake Tahoe, I know a few dispersed camping spots, and an RV park where you can park and have electricity (which you don't need) but they also have showers for about $12. Or just park in my parking spot. I would love to see your lil rig to gage the space. I am actively looking at used Prius V cuz not sure if I could do smaller. Not sure how we can exchange contact, but the offer is there (I live at the bottom of the hill from Virginia City, FUN!) Would be fun to be your tour guide.
Bro, nice video. Awesome your pup hangs with you on trails like that. She's a bad ass dog. Drone shots/flyovers were a surprise bonus. Just found your channel and I respect all the unfiltered & honest 10 questions video's you have but I enjoyed this adventure somewhat more. Just watched the Pro/Con Living in Prius Car Video and you make it work but have some small inconveniences. Question, why not a late model small truck with camper shell? possibly carry more water, larger frig. for more food & more sleeping room/head room. Gas milage?? Not matter, I am watching and enjoy your videos. TY.

Never too late brother. Im an automotive technican myself in southern california and my prius has 369k miles on it. But im looking at an 07 with 42k miles. Just know you arent alone, we all suffer together LOL@MountainSpringsAdventures
Just wanted to comment but I just subbed to your channel. I seen on one of your other vids that you hope your Prius gets 300k miles. I have a Toyota matrix and it has right close to 300k miles on it and it still purrs like a sowing machine. Don’t use or leak any oil. I been told if you take care of them they can last 500k or more. Just wanted to let you know about that detail in case you didn’t know.
Would love to see a series of video that focuses on the dog aspect of your lifestyle. Also maybe one on how you keep yourself safe (tip/tricks like the walmart parking lot video, weapons, any stories).
So excited to see videos! I think that is something that would be helpful for numbers - post consistently, even if not every video is perfect. The drone footage of where you are is fantastic. Maybe open the video with some of the footage? And I’d watch channels similar to what you are wanting to post and see which subjects that they post on are getting the most views. Look at trends and what is popular currently. I always click on a car “house tour” video, so you could always do another one even if you don’t feel like much has changed. Even saying things like, “this is still working”. Just some ideas!
I think your videos are great! Informative and beautiful, I definitely enjoy seeing the hikes and adventures. I'd love to see more footage of your puppers! Always a seller in my book when you include cute dog footage and interactions in videos! 🐕 ❤ keep up thr good work!
Glad to see you back! I've been watching your vids for few months and have enjoyed and been inspired. Now if i can just take that giant step/leap of faith myself.
Can you do a video about finding Shannon ? I was inspired by your story of finding her in your travels and said "I want to do that too" and this past weekend rescued a beautiful Australian Shepherd from the wild! Would love to hear the full story about finding her, taking her in, any roadblocks etc!
Amazing views. I downloaded that AllTrails app to my iPhone. I also ate KFC shortly before watching this, so I dug the reusable dog dish container out of the garbage and washed it out. You asked for ideas for improvement at the end of the video, and I think it would be nice to have a map showing where you are at or are going at the beginning of a video to help understand where you are talking about. On the NYC stealth camping video, you had some great map-path screen-shots.
Hey Bo & Shannon I’ve just subbed to your channel after watching tons of realistic real life living in your car but now it’s been 11 months since your last video , are you okay ? I pray your alive & living your best live with Shannon & if you are could you come back just to let us know that your both fine , your videos were great so much info on the pros & cons 🙌🙌👍👍🙏
This video was incredible. Your editing & drone footage is amazing. I can hardly wait for more videos. You mentioned low views on your videos. Could it be a UA-cam algorithm issue? Maybe look into that. ☺️
Well done and I do believe with consistent regular uploads your subscription numbers will begin to improve..... looking forward to yours and Shannon's next one.
You are so inspiring! I love your videos and following your journeys. I’m going to be 65 and I have spent last year building a CamperVan. We have been out twice and I love it! Dreaming of traveling around the country seeing some of the amazing places out there. Love what your doing! I used your code to change to Visible. I will continue to support you as I use more of your links. Thanks for sharing. I am working in videos to share too! Any suggestions?
Awesome video! To answer your end question first and foremost you seem to get overall decent views when you make videos. I’d say you need to keep making them!! Second, from my research in UA-cam it is hard to get views on a vlog if you don’t have a searchable title. Like people have to be looking for something specific you have unless they just watch your videos like me. If I were you, I’d focus on things people are looking for like, how to live in a car or traveling with a dog, living in a car with a dog, answer questions about car camping, camping in the hot or cold etc. basically find out what people are looking for and than answer those questions via video.
Nice Dude! The drone montage and accompanying sound track were awesome. As far as viewership, I would say you have to stay consistent and keep putting out content consistently. It's a lot of work, but it's the only way you're gonna be successful--at anything not just UA-cam. ✌️
Partner up with other Prius campers online with a vlog chat comparing tricks, experiences, sights to see, etc. Cross marketing. Levi and Leah would be the first to reach out to. That might help views. As for me, I'm a regular, though I sometimes miss cuz spending a lot of time on research to buy my prius. Also, have a regular day and time to upload (maybe you already do that, not sure). I think Fridays are good cuz then people winding down their week look for release and ya have the whole weekend for people to catch it. I have a routine on Friday afternoons, where I watch my favorite van bloggers, sometimes well into the night. It's my "reward" for working hard during the week. Hope those ideas help, Cheers! Robi.
Those are great ideas. I'll have to check Levi and Leah myself, since I'm a Prius car camper too. I really like your comment about having a specific day to binge watch favorite vloggers, as an end-of-week reward. I scatter watch my favs on the fly throughout the week, and sometimes feel kind of guilty because it takes time I need to be doing something else. But to have a specific day set aside is really cool, and guilt-free. lol
You did it! That looked intense, especially with water running low and the sun setting you must have had a feeling of urgency to get back to the car before dark but you did it! Only suggestion I recommend (and you did ask for suggestions) is maybe to be more consistent with posting content. Even if you're at the grocery store, laundromat, cleaning the car or repairing the car, anything day-to-day would be interesting to those of us who love your channel. Your job, your life challenges, you making dinner, just ordinary stuff becomes interesting when it's someone else's life. Keep going and I'd love an update on your southwest living conditions. Take care.
Hey, thanks so much for sharing the hike to the summit and the area you were camping in. Always cool to see different areas of our country. That was definitely incredible. Bo, your videos are great, very informative always enjoyed the cooking, living, organization part of being in a vehicle full time. It take time to build a channel and a following of people that enjoy this content. I would say be consistent with videos even if only quick 10 or 15 minutes it keeps your followers invested and engaged to what you are upto. As far as titles go I recommend staying away from click bate titles or being overly dramatic in title description. Always thought you had good titles, video thumbnails get better as you make them. Focus on eye appeal of the photo as it applies to the video. Keep the picture simple/uncluttered and focused on content. Look forward to your next video, thanks for sharing!! 👍
And plus this touring model is very well insulated (they probably all are, being Toyotas, but definitely the touring model is, if not the other models). I'm not mechanically-inclined, but I do notice the quiet drive of this car, versus the road noise when driving my old Subaru Forester! I'm going to guess and say the difference is due in large part to insulation. Another reason I say that is this past winter I overmighted many times in near freezing temps in this car, and I didn't even have a sleeping bag, like Bo does. I just had a heavy blanket, and was surprised how warm and comfortable I was all night, engine off.
I was kind of wondering about that. And scorpions, maybe gila monster lizards, etc. I was going to look up what critters to be aware of in that region, and post here. But I saw your post mentioning the rattlers. Definitely want to bring a snake kit along, and a Garmin (or whatever satellite brand is popular now), too, to alert emergency services in case something goes wrong.
Hi! Regarding your vlogs, I think the title has to have solo and the name of the hiking spot with maybe a descriptor. So, this one could/ would be: Solo hiking Superstition Mountain, in desert with dog. And the words on the thumbnail I would put solo hiking superstition mountain. Also, start commenting (genuine comments) on other popular hiking videos. You can say something like, "this was an awesome hike! Thanks for the inspiration, hopefully I can make this one of my next hikes." You want people to click on your profile and watch your videos. And, I would do more hikes, even if they're short/not strenuous and use the same title format. And, respond to/engage with your commenters! It'll keep them watching and suggesting your channel and boost will you in the algorithm.
