I tried sugar nails for the first time today and I love how they look but they feel like sandpaper and snag on my clothing
@@jessicasmith787 They can definitely take some getting used to. You can mitigate some of the roughness by gently pressing the glitter into the uncured gel to make sure it's all laying flat before you cure it. You can also get a similar effect by applying a very thin layer of top coat over the glitter just enough to hold the glitter, but not enough to "encapsulate" it. Fine glitter works best for sugaring and won't snag as much as a chunky glitter.

@@jessicasmith787 You're welcome! Hope this helps you. I usually only sugar one or two accent nails because it can be overwhelming if all the nails are rough, but one or two doesn't bother me as much.

They're gorgeous but yea the texture and snagging isn't worth it I always just encapsulate it under top coat

It’s going to ruin the sugar effect, it’ll end up looking like a regular glitter polish if you topcoat it

I tried this and cured the glitter on the top coat for 2 min and clients glitter keeps falling off in patches 😭😩 idk what to do anymore

I have white sugar nails and I just had to file off the sugar and reapply it Bc it got discolored .. how do I stop this from happening? I got makeup on my nails and used a nail scrubber to clean it but they were still discolored

I just did a client and it happened to her too...I used black...which was gorgeous. But no one can seem to answer how to keep it from discoloring.

Hey it would be,
Prep nail
Base coat - cure
Colour coat - cure
SUPERGLOSS no wipe gel (don’t cure)
Sprinkle glitter tapp off excess - cure
Then dust off and that’s it 🫶🏼💜
