pea salad is one of my favorite dishes. My mom made it a lot when I was growing up. Thank you for making it WW friendly. I will be enjoying it occasionally. Also my mom put diced pimentos in her salad once in a while!!!
Delicious. tried it with the yogurt, but added sweet onion in place of the purple and added a couple tablespoons of real bacon bits and a sprinkle of sweetener. Thank you again.
Alicia, that sounds really good & it would be yummy to dip into it with any number of things. Melba toast is one of my favorites & I bet that would be really tasty!
Thank you for your help. I had thought about adding the yogurt but wasn't sure how much. So glad you both liked it and your son I s a fan also. This recipe goes way back, not sure how far but to give you an idea, i will be 72 in June and I remember eating it before I started helping in the kitchen. I will be sharing thus video on fb. Thank you again.
Hi Alicia. I am going to enjoy this one. Great easy dip. Peas have fiber and iron in them too. Pretty healthy for a dip. Those peas are probably higher in points because if my memory serves me right sugar is listed as an ingredient in that brand. Anyway, thank you for bringing this viewer recipe to us and lightening it up. 😋💚 Green in honor of the peas😂Have a great day!!
Hi Linda👋 This is really easy and really good! You are probably right about the peas, that makes sense!! It threw me off when I saw they had points!🫛 Lol Have a great day, sweet friend!❤️
This recipe came about to be made after Easter when you had all those left over boiled colored Easter eggs, who knew. Anyway, leaving for Orlando, have a wonderful Easter🐰🐇🌺 and I'll be talking to you before you know it, dear friend🙂💝 This will be made right after the Easter Egg Hunt, how fun!! Courtesy of Alicia and a viewer😁
Great use for Easter eggs! My mom had recipes she would do every year with our Easter eggs when I was a kid, I need to recreate some of those! Have a safe, fun trip, Linda! I hope you have a wonderful time in Orlando and a Happy Easter.🐰 See you when you are back!💞
The recipe I've used for many years calls for thawed green peas. In addition to all the ingredients Alicia used, it calls for jarred roasted red pepper slices or pimiento and chopped water chestnuts.
I've been making this pea salad for years. The recipe was usually always in the church cookbooks; very popular and easy to make.
It's a good one!

I'll have to try the pimentos!

I wonder if you could use frozen peas? Maybe just let them thaw.. or cook them a little and let them cool.. looks good!
You probably could! I would cook them and let them cool first.
