Wow, I knew about the in tank heater but not this one, thanks this is great!
No problem Steve! Thanks for watching.
Oh...it's sensor #2
On a different topic.
2011 f250 king ranch 6.7, EGT sensor fault. Don't have access to a lift, will be doing this laying on the garage floor. Any and all suggestions for this repair will be greatly appreciated. Thank you,
Ron
Hey Ron, first off spray it with penetrating oil the day before if possible. Make sure you have a really good wrench cause they round off easy. Once it cracks free spray a little bit more penetrating oil and tighten it a bit. Keep doing that back and fourth coming further and further out. They can be a pain.
@@InTheShop thank you for your advice. I sprayed it twice yesterday and once this morning with pb blaster. Gunna try breaking loose today
@@ronheiden2750 only crack it free a bit then spray again and tighten
@@InTheShop would you suggest using heat on the part it threads into
@@ronheiden2750 only a very small amount. I’ve found if you heat it the threads usually gall. I’ve had a few that I’ve had to either tap the hole or cut the bung off and weld a new one in.
Do you have OEM a part number?
You will have to look it up at the Ford dealer using your VIN. They used a couple different configurations and would hate to give you the wrong one.
@@InTheShop sounds good thank you. I'm having the same problem and do have the same truck so I figure I ask. It's kinda confusing when they have 6 different setups for the same part 🤔
