I have a smaller nostalgia factor than most, being born in the early 90’s, but I have gone back and watched all the old show episodes and movies. As a huge fan of the character Wheeljack, I feel obligated to pick this game up
After the last game, none of us survived because we focused too much on competition. I like this game but the rules related to assist are a bit overcomplicated and the element of transformation is not emphasized enough. Well, the game is incomplete if there are no Decepticons in the competitive mode, and the game expansion does not know when it will appear at all
Just play the Transformers Trading Card Game instead. It's not that hard to get a hold of and ACTUALLY feels and plays like Transformers. It's just 20x a better game than this
The rule book is horrible. For such a simple game I was constantly wondering if I was doing something wrong. Also felt like half a game since they constantly reference playing decepticons.

Big nostalgia factor there for sure.
Do you think the Decepticon expansion will improve the game? 1 or 2 Autobot players can battle 1 or 2 Decepticon players if you combine the games.
Possibly. We’ll see. On the whole, however, I’m a little weary of more rules for this game as it is.
I hope you do try Transformers multiplayer and do a multiplayer review. Where is your GI Joe Deck Building review?

Good points.
I played it at 3 players a couple weeks ago, and the assist rules felt clunky. The whole game felt a bit off. Not bad just off.
Good way to put it.

I hadn't heard of that one. Thanks.
I agree. Cool concept, but too fiddley. I like the GI Joe DBG much better.
Indeed. Stay tuned.

I agree. Not a good rulebook.
I pre order my copy just because I grow up with transformers... Still waiting it
The nostalgia factor is there for sure.
