Vertex mode, click on the little X to select the thing (or hold control and click to select multiple things), draw a box and hit enter to select all vertices of the thing, now you can move it without deforming it and snap any specific vertex to the grid. Posting this here cause I only figured this out after a really frustrating half an hour lol.
Also at some point could you cover applying a tag to someone to allow them to pass through a trigger, like if they didn't go through a certain part of a map then they will get teleported at another part, i spent a few hours trying to figure it out and couldn't. Maybe i'm just stupid though.

Basically you make the ramp twice: - First ramp has no cuts in it and texture the whole thing with "playerclip" (and ctrl+t it into a "func_detail") - Second ramp has the cuts and the textures you want, but ctrl+t it into a "func_illusionary" (that makes it not collide with the player) Put both ramps in the exact same spot and voila.

Sorry I'm on vacation so I don't have access to Hammer, so here is a wall of text: To make stages, you need 2 things, a teleport_destination and a trigger_teleport, if you put down a terrorist spawn (entity) and double click it, there is a box with a bunch of parameters, near the top there is "class:" and a dropdown menu, click it and change it to teleport_destination, press the apply button, then change the name to whatever you want it to be (ex: stage1), the entity should look like a green gordon freeman instead of a csgo terrorist. Place that teleport_destination where you want the stage to start, you should make some walls around it so that you lose all your momentum when you fail the stage. Now to make the player teleport to that destination you need to put down trigger_teleport, to do that you put down a normal solid (like you would when making walls/floors/etc...), with it selected you change the texture of the whole solid to tools/tooltrigger (it should be orange with trigger writen over it) once that's done you hit ctrl+t to open a similar looking menu as for the teleport_destination, instead that now you change it to "trigger_teleport", hit apply, and then change remote_destination to what you named your teleport_destination, in this case: "stage1", now all you need to do is duplicate that trigger_teleport to cover all the floors of the stage (I'd recommend making them 2 units high) To make the player teleport to another stage it's the exact same concept, you put the trigger_teleport at the end of the stage and then you put the remote_destination to stage2 instead of stage1. Then you add a teleport_destination for stage2, and so on and so forth. It's not high on my bucket list because it's niche and fairly complicated, but I have a .vmf I can send you that kinda shows how it's done

The base ramp you're making it out of is probably a little crooked, try remaking it and then do the curved ramp part
