Rough stuff with Kirk. Met Mr. Shatner when he gave his space poetry here in San Juan Capistrano recently. Standing ovation given to him. Met Miss Nichelle Nichols in Palm Springs when I was a pre-teenage professional magician introduced to her by my mentor Peter (everyone knew I was a nut for Star Trek) and my half-brother Scott whose best friend was the late Mr. Nimoy's son Adam. Unique series. Not sure what to say about it all these years later. We owe it so many things more than a half century later. Serious stuff there by Mr. Roddenberry and his many famous science fiction authors of the series and the editors. Severe stuff. We won't see its like again I bet.

And you will note that the computer voice there in this episode here, Assignment Earth, is actress Barbra Babcock who was on other episodes of the Original Star Trek series, twice in the first season, and twice in the third season. Love the Original Star Trek series, best Star Trek out there. Much better tv show than that silly, stupid, cheesy next generation stuff, that's for sure. The Original Star Trek series RULES MAN!

Fine I'll give it away because you can't seem to listen. Captain's log. Using the light-speed breakaway factor (the same as in Yesteryear & Star Trek IV), the Enterprise has moved back through time to the 20th century. We are now in extended orbit around Earth, using our ship's deflector shields to remain unobserved. Our mission - historical research. We are monitoring Earth communications to find out how our planet survived desperate problems in the year 1968." GET IT NOW LAZY BONES?

A passing foot note is how they got there. You asked "HOW THE ENTERPRISE GOT BACK IN TIME?" Well that foot note tells you how. It does not matter if it was easy or not it, that is totally un important to the story. What matters is that they got there by using that quick mentioned foot note. So stop betting a dead horse and just enjoy the episode!
