It is not true that Jamaicans do not have access to their beaches. Persons who perpetuate this inaccuracy have an extreme misunderstanding of the situation. .
Thank you for your comment really appreciate it but am sure you don’t speak for all Jamaicans, I was repeating the opinions of a lot of Jamaicans who spoke to both young and old. The older folks told me of a time when this situation was the cause of riots When I went to college in England I heard a lot of folks repeat the same sentiments
@@sonnystraveladventure The facts are that Jamaicans have access to all the beaches on the island, including the beaches attached to resorts. The only difference with the resort beaches is the the beaches cannot be accessed from the front entrance of the property by persons who are not paying residents of the resort. If this were allowed it would have serious implications for security and crowd management. These are several beaches. Apart from the hotel/resort beaches there are at least four other types of beaches to which Jamaicans have access : 1)open, free under-developed sometimes with small business commercial, recreational and domestic fishing :2) nominal, small few paying, very rudimentary development shacks etc on the beach "operated" by *hustlers* for want of a better word. These is a beach improvement programme instituted by the Jamaican Government to improve the condition of these beaches :3) free, well developed and maintained and operated by the Municipal Authorities:'4) higher fee -paying, well developed and maintained operater as a private business
Jamaica is divided into three counties,: Cornwall, Middlesex and Surrey The counties are further divided into fourteen parishes. Cornwall has the parishes of Trelawny,,St James of which Montego Bay is the capital city, Hanover, which has Lucea as its capital town,,Westmoreland and St Elizabeth ;Middlesex has the parishes of St Mary, St Ann, Manchester Clarendon and St Catherine; Surrey which has the parishes of Portland, St Thomas, St Andrew and Kingston. Kingston is also the capital city of Jamaica. Negril Beach extends from the parish of Hanover to the parish of Westmoreland.
Thank you for your comment. I have travelled to Jamaica at least ten times so I know this video is not complete Jamaica but as the title suggests a complete compilation of all the videos I posted on my channel. Places like Falmouth, Kingston Ocho Rios is not featured.
