How DO you unlock the final character and Tape 30? They're the only things I haven't done yet. Aside from Mint Condition Medals. Speaking of, are there any special items to help you with that?
I’m not 100% sure which character you mean if it’s the ghost cat you need a car battery and my memory is fuzzy on the other characters and I don’t think there’s any special items to make the medals easier but there also isn’t a big reward at the end

Any idea how to open the golden door that says "It doesn't want to open."?
If you’re talking about the one in the castle it’s meant as a decoy and doesn’t open.

the game cartridges are for the phone booth area, there's a garage you can stick 'em in

What are the requirements for the true ending?
You must beat the game and then return to certain levels and collect pieces for the game-ender which gives you the true ending!
