That's the point of Agnea's story is just how lighthearted it was; there weren't intended to be any real evil forces in her story. Though that one theater manager was evil given how greedy and jealous he was; and good was in Dolcinaea even back then telling him off to leave that little tavern alone. The funny thing is, I did see 1Up Binge's video, and she was higher on the morality list than two of the protagonists; which as a final boss makes her like an odd one out. I love the phases of Dolcinaea’s boss battle. Her first form shows her as this god like entity in the sky that the player can’t defeat. It’s only AFTER Agnea truly gains her confidence and this phase begins that now Dolcinaea is shown as a normal human, still imposing but not nearly as scary as she was before. It’s such good symbolism for Agnea’s growth and a good reverse of the JRPG trope of bosses becoming more monstrous and inhuman as the fight progresses.

This song is absolutely gorgeous; it's not only the same song we hear Agnea throughout, but it's the final boss theme of her story, the Song of Hope. It's only fitting that the finished version of this song is what is played at the end. Dolcinea is also the best final boss character IMO just from the simple fact that she's not even a villain in the first place. But just a rival in the art of talent and fashion. And she takes her defeat fair and square and congratulates Agnea for her mass success.

I think there's beauty in the simplicity of Agnea's story. In a world filled with Revenge Plots, Assassin Cults, Rebellions/Succession Crises, Plagues, Societal Injustices, Corrupt Religions among other things it just does the heart good that there's just someone who genuinely wants nothing more than to spread happiness. The world of Octopath Traveller can be a heck of a bleak place, folks need some hope.
Dolchinea was the first boss i did and she pummeled my ass. I was wrong to assume itd be easy and i was banging my head against the table after the 5th try in her phase 2. I was in the level range i think i was just shocked by her beauty lmaoo My starter was partitio and he was level 60 by the time i did the fight. Wish i could say the same for the others 💀
Similar boat, except I did Agnea's second since I always kept her in the party so she and Partitio were both sitting at 50/51 respectively for this one
She kicked my butt too. All the status conditions, plus the fact that she can temporarily remove party members from combat. She got a LOT easier when I realized Hunters can use Cleaving Blow on her to get the buff that makes you immune to status conditions. She's much more manageable when you're not sweating about being hit with a 1 turn Endless Slumber.
Agree. My Agnea was level 57, Osvald 56, Castti 56 and Temenos 70. Dolchinea kick my ass tho, I win until the 5th try. Epic battle Pd. This wasn't the first final boss I defeated. But I underestimate Dolchinea a lot in the 1st try. Also she enchanted my Temenos so healing all the group was a little harder even if Castti was in the party
For me she kept going after my DPS character (Ochette), thank god I made Temenos a scholar when she yoinked one of them. I think I also had Castti in the team and made her my side healer if the bosses just had a thing against Temenos. Think she was also my first boss cause I’m like “oh, it’s probs gonna be one of the easier ones… right?” No… very wrong. 🧍
I beat it second try with my whole party at level 43, and my team was Cassti/Scholar, Ochette/Warrior, Agnea/Inventor and Partitio/Arcanist. Honestly the only bosses that killed my party were Dolcinaea and Trousseau, but I still got Temenos's and Throne's final chapter + The post game content left.
The OCD part of me was disappointed this song it wasn't like the others, but as i listened to ot further, i began to understand the meaning and the purpose for making this song the way it is. So i made the acception and bopped to it as hard as if it were "the journey of hope ends".
I have to wonder what the audience actually saw during this. Was everyone up there actually trying to kill each other during a dance battle, or was it just an abstract representation of their dance battle? No one seems particularly plussed by what they saw, so I lean to the latter.
Same here. Kinda similar to Temenos’s Coerce, where I see it as more a mental battle as opposed to him literally beating the information out of someone, as funny as that is to imagine.
Solisita has three unique languages/alphabets, the main one, the one of Ku, and the one that the beastlings use. Four if you count old beastling (the ghormf sidequest).
Agnea is not my fav character at the beginning, I felt the story might be dull and simple. However in the final chapter somehow I felt like i'm really into this character and wanted to sing & dance together. Agnea really brought me sunshine and warmth in this game.

Agnea may be the worst compared to the Stories when it comes to epicness, but it is by far the most wholseome Story that showes if you truly believe in your Dreams and know that you will make it, you *will* make it
Left Agnea for the end since I needed a “pick me up” after all the other stories’ ends, I love this song. …But why is Throné the Armsmaster? Why is Hikari the Inventor? Love the synergy of dancer-cleric and apothecary-dancer makes sense for support though!
Yeah, Throné was my main and she was an Inventor for the majority of my playthrough, only dipping into Dancer late-game for speed stacking since Aeber's Reckoning hit so hard even without break. Hikari on the other hand was rocking Apothecary and then got glued to Armsmaster as soon as I unlocked it, only passing it to Ochette on the very rare occasion I didn't feel like using him.
Worst story, best battle at journeys end Agnea seems like the real protagonist, she is just there, indirectly participating of the main events but in the ending she steals the spotlight perfect character to start and finish the game

@@C9316in this particular story and its villain? Hell yeah!
@@RandomPerson-ob6wmthat ending disappointed me a lot, literally made me felt that chapter 3 was a COMPLETE waste of time
Dolchinea was the first boss i did and she pummeled my ass. I was wrong to assume itd be easy and i was banging my head against the table after the 5th try in her phase 2. I was in the level range i think i was just shocked by her beauty lmaoo
My starter was partitio and he was level 60 by the time i did the fight.
Epic battle
Pd.
One of the best final boss themes in this game
The OCD part of me was disappointed this song it wasn't like the others, but as i listened to ot further, i began to understand the meaning and the purpose for making this song the way it is. So i made the acception and bopped to it as hard as if it were "the journey of hope ends".
I have to wonder what the audience actually saw during this. Was everyone up there actually trying to kill each other during a dance battle, or was it just an abstract representation of their dance battle? No one seems particularly plussed by what they saw, so I lean to the latter.
Same here. Kinda similar to Temenos’s Coerce, where I see it as more a mental battle as opposed to him literally beating the information out of someone, as funny as that is to imagine.
best boss theme
Oh. This is what this song sounds like. Mama Castii killed her turn 2.

Man, the last battle left my eyes wet, lol...
Octopath 2 is truly a fantastic game
All I can say is I'm really glad I finished her story last
This may be the best video game song of all time. If not, please name them.
What language is this? Or is it a made-up language? Big fan of those because of Nier's chaos language.
Solisita has three unique languages/alphabets, the main one, the one of Ku, and the one that the beastlings use. Four if you count old beastling (the ghormf sidequest).
@@edcaousyep made up lang just like nier
I finished her way too fast, so I came here to actually listen to the great song
She's a tough fight.
Agnea is not my fav character at the beginning, I felt the story might be dull and simple. However in the final chapter somehow I felt like i'm really into this character and wanted to sing & dance together. Agnea really brought me sunshine and warmth in this game.
Agnea’s story reminds me of Atlantica from kingdom hearts 2 where there’s less fighting and more singing
I don't why but
when Dolcinaea use charm on one party member (temporary take control of that member), somehow she always nab Ochett in my fight
Does anyone know what the lyrics are saying?

What style of violin is this called?
i think it's just a regular violin but the way it's played is inspired by celtic music according to the composer!
@@artetomate thanks for the answer
This starting to play is one of the best moments in the game for me so far. Unfortunately the boss was really annoying...
Agnea is not my favorite character and her story is pretty mid but she hands down has the best boss battles.
What is she singing anyway
The in game universe language aka gibberish
@@fukaze2021 I thought it was Japanese 😅
@@RhapsodyHC i was wrong 4 months ago actually, i just found out that there is an official lyric for song of hope, it seems to be in latin
I blame Yoko Taro for making invented language a huge thing in musical pieces 😅
Beating up a vtuber: the boss fight
Worst story, best battle at journeys end
Agnea seems like the real protagonist, she is just there, indirectly participating of the main events but in the ending she steals the spotlight perfect character to start and finish the game
Does anyone know what there saying? love the song just wish I knew what they are saying
it's an "invented language". it's a type of lyric that doesnt have "real" words. think of it as a worded humming.
So based of them to give the probably most least intresting story imo a unique ending theme to balance it out
The only good part of Agnea's story
No, her whole story is great.
@@txgoldrush nah her chapter 2-3 have odd parts but 4-end are good stories that handle class waaaay better than partitio's story and end up in an incredible bossfight
@@wee3ist Chapter 2 was great, if only because of Gil's life story and piano
@@wee3ist it was a good buildup to the tune of the final boss theme, without it, the chapter 4 music wouldnt feel as epic as it already is...
