My favorite Luigi logic moment so far was the second major boss. The music when he rolled down synced up with the part at the 42-ish seconds mark. It was great.
A headcanon i have for why this boss music is very upbeat may be because, after fighting so many bosses in the past games, Mario & Luigi see the bosses more like an Average Tuesday at this point, so the boss theme is not the boss's theme, and rather, the Mario Bros's theme because a thing is for sure, nothing can stop the brothers at this point.
@@ReturnoftheNormalPerson I mean every boss theme in this series is upbeat lol. But the vibe I get from both this theme and the miniboss theme pretty much lines up with what you said. It overall sounds more triumphant because Mario and Luigi have been through this time and time again. They're going to win, it's just a given with veterans of battle like them. But you still have plenty of moments in the song giving those sinister vibes that remind you yeah this isn't anything new for the bros but you're still fighting a boss, more often than not one they've never faced before. They could still lose, but they're both together taking this on and when they are they're practically unstoppable. I get that vibe more with the miniboss theme than this boss one which sounds more sinister, fitting as it's a major boss.
This theme is quickly growing to be my possible favorite boss theme in the series. Dream Teams is just so good but the 1:09 in this song is so damn perfect, it’s just so Mario and Luigi in the best way possible.

Arguably even better than Tough Guy Alert, and this is coming from a guy whose favorite video game composer of all time is Yoko. chrange9714 put it best, the new guy absolutely did right by the incredible precedent she set for the series but also made it his own in such a nice way. I’m not totally in love with Brothership’s soundtrack, I think way too many tracks have big brass sections where they’re not really needed, but if this is really the end of Yoko’s Mario tenure I fully trust him to carry on the torch.
In case nobody else has realized, this boss theme only plays specifically during the bosses at a Great Lighthouse. It's a bit more grandiose in that regard for that reason.
Yeah i was fighting the first boss of the game and I’m like why is this theme so mid. And then I hear this one and it’s pretty good so I’m happy now. Just wish this played for every boss
You’ve basically conquered everything at this point. The music is more upbeat and grand in this fight to show that this “one guy” isn’t gonna stop you.
Usually for me it starts at 1:09. And despite what others say, I think this is way better than Never Let Up and every other battle theme in the Mario and Luigi series.
A lot of people tend to say "this doesn't fit a boss fight" because most people think boss themes are to reflect confronting a dangerous threat. But the thing is a lot of y'all forget the Mario and Luigi series is known for breaking conventions because the majority of battle themes throughout the series are cartoonishly silly with a hint of urgency for good measure. Also the light motif of the connection of islands theme showcases the importance of the battle. I wish there was a boss ring/medley like what Bis,Dream Team and Paper Jam had. But then again this is like a reboot of the saga kinda like a "New Superstar Saga" (which didn't have a boss rematch one)(also PiT))
At first i thought this was an odd choice for an boss theme. It lacks the seriousness the other boss themes of the series had. But after i heard it a few times and continued playing i think it really fits this game especially. I feel like brothership is a lot more wacky and whimsical than the other games (which could be pretty serious from time to time) and this Theme perfectly encapsulates the colorful Fun this new adventure in this new world has to offer. It wouldn't have worked as a Boss Theme in the other Games but for this game it's absolutely amazing.

We are making the Brotherly Bond even stronger with this one!! 🔥❄️🗿🗿❤️💚
Idk what yall smoking saying this theme is decent at best, never in my life have i vibed so hard with a theme aside from "Never Let Up"
Hideki Sakamoto commited ARSON in the kitchen.
Can’t count how many times ive heard this in the glohm fights, now its stuck in my head
Luigi on his way to bypass gojo's infinity with luigi logic
This is such a fun little tune. The melody is these big jumps up and down so it has a see saw feel. It feels like mario and luigi bouncing off eachothers heads to land that decisive blow. It just screams 'The Bros habe -got this-'
I wish there was a boss ring/medley like what Bis,Dream Team and Paper Jam had.
I started with Superstar Saga on GBA, and played all the games on release since then, and this is slowly becoming one of my favorite Boss themes in the serie.
if only the fight against zokket had another ost than this one...
YES that’s exactly what I was thinking while fighting him. This doesn’t fit him at all, and it kind of gives it away that there’s more after that.
in fact I was expecting appropriate music like the old Mario and Luigi which is a little disappointing
@@darcciad look at me in the eye and tell me if Dark Star/Fawful's fights playing the goofy ahh tough guy alert in the original is anything close to appropriate
The song still really sounds upbeat and tense, which is perfect atmosphere for any M&L boss battle really
I just consider this to be the bros theme and not the bosses' theme
No need to compare this theme to previous Mario&luigi's games' boss themes. This is awesome in its way.
aka Leave it to Luigi and his logic theme
I was wrong, this boss theme is actually pretty legit. Hideki Sakomoto cooked for this OST 🔥
One small thing, if he had reintroduced the beginning measures into the full loop of the song, it would have been twice as good (and also sounded more like a Shimomura composition)
Indeed it is!
this one seems pretty polarizing... i find myself in the "love it" crowd. something about it just perfectly suits the pace of this game's bosses. well, actually, it's pretty ill fitting for the last couple of bosses that use it, but i consider that a problem with the lack of other boss themes, not anything to do with this boss theme itself.
Alright this has grown on me a lot, it's pretty great.
Best boss theme mario and luigi
i felt a chill when i heard this
y’know i like how this _starts_ like it’s a boss theme but as it goes on it becomes more like its the other way around
Imagine dropping down with the sole intention of just pressing a button and all of a sudden a green man just decides to run towards you
I love games where the stronger boss themes serve more to hype you up than anything. This game's mini boss theme has a sort of "These guys are scary" vibe, while this theme feels more like "These guys are scary, show them why you're scarier"
Shoutout to the fourth lighthouse boss for being one of the best and most unique bosses in the entire series! The fight was absolutely wild!
Yes…confuse the non believers…
A boss that hard before the final area of the game was criminal. Glad I had some 🍄
Ikr? Those Zokket minions really got the better of me!
I still can't believe Junker is back from Bowser's inside story 🙏🙏🙏😭
Oh my goodness, that boss was incredible! Definitely one of the greatest in the series!
