Final Fantasy 8 was such an experimental game with big leaps in production. For whatever flaws it may arguably have, it's such a special game and the music is incredible. Great job with this remake man, you nailed it!
i love FF8 that or 7s my favorite. the fact that you can break the game in so many ways makes it infinitely replayable to me. can do challenge runs easily cause theres so many ways to customize a character. imma buy remake and do a no magic junction run. or at least not stat juntions. then it might get difficult lol. reminds me of skyrim. your as strong or weak as you wanna be. choose your own difficulty.
The FFVIII remixes on this channel are the best of all of them. They do a great justice to the foreboding time warping militaristic sci fi in FFVIII. Truly how the game was meant to sound.
There were quite a few parts of the game that were cut b/c of time constraints. Hopefully this magnificent game gets a remake and we get all of the parts that were cut.
François Panasiouk I tried finding that info for you, but can’t :( I remember it being mentioned a long time ago. Iirc disc 4 was supposed to be longer.
@@ordnaelshideout It's very diffrent from the rest of the game so it's very alien and everything once you get there happens really quickily and lots of weird things happen. The hole centra stuff you mention with the last time the monsters came down stuff is another creepy thing you learn around that point. so much creepy and great pacing.
Lunatic Pandora = Creepy Sorceress Adel = Creepy Esthar trying to take over the world during the Sorceress War = Creepy The lore behind The Great Hyne and the origin of Sorceresses = Creepy The whole game is filled with eerie bits and its also why it's one of my favourites
Interesting choice for a remake. Lunatic Pandora has one of the strangest dungeon themes I've ever heard in my life, yet it fits. Your version sounds a lot darker and more serious, I like it!
While it may not be dark, it's more of a haunting lullaby or melody. You're infiltrating the tomb of a figure (Adel) so powerful, they almost caused the end of the world on their own. You're doing it to save someone (Rinoa), from a rival turned evil (Seifer) and said almost godlike being (Ultimecia), that plays the most important role of sending you to a desolate wasteland to face the most powerful entity known in time, who's plot involves erasing time itself.
Ok, maybe "dark" was the wrong word. I meant it's more serious and powerful. It conveys a much stronger feeling of "beginning of the end" than the original, and also has a subtle sense of urgency. I really enjoy penultimate dungeon themes that are like that.
@@IidosGamingDen dude I'll be honest I'm perfectly fine with the use of the word dark. I've always found this track particularly haunting. It has an otherworldly and militaristic atmosphere, yet still has stereotypical choir like vocals to make it slightly sinister. Personally I think it's one of Nobou's most underrated tracks
Will definitly use this in my pen and paper session, when the party accidently enters the cold and dangerous dimension of the deamons. This track decribes and evokes the perfect feeling for awaking with an amnesiac feeling in a mysterious, surreal and unknown place, where the only thing you really know is absolute danger - because you feel it everywhere. Truly a masterpiece from Nobuo Uematsu, who tried to decribe a similar scene and mastered it. And of course amazing rework as well, it's even darker and more threatening I think. Thank you so much!
As a kid, I didn’t understand English, so the eerie, advanced, and mysterious nature of Lunatic Pandora utterly fascinated me even more. It left a deep impression on me, and if I ever finish writing my novel, there will undoubtedly be a similar enigmatic and mystical phenomenon like this within it.
This is an amazing cover/remake. It's mystical but down right heavy where it needs to be. Replaying VIII currently and I've missed the entire game so much.
An excellent reimagining. I love when artists take seemingly fixed concepts and inject some of their own oomph into them. The likes of Lunatic Pandora and Heretic from ff8; there's so many 'remixes'/ 'remakes' which sounds identical to the source material. Awesome piece!
I've been getting a lot of inspiration for a portion of my own game by thinking about current studies being done on gravitational wave energy and how it correlates with the origin of the word Lunatic. Imma be listening to this a lot when it comes time to be inspired to make OG music for my game.
Another track i've been waiting for that 'surprisingly... has very few variations/versions of it so well done Maestro ^.^ Now he just has to create a track for "Heresy" and his FFVIII collection of Boss music is practically complete.
Oh. My. Gosh. Now I am _really_ glad I found your channel. "Lunatic Pandora" was always a favourite from the FFVIII soundtrack, and this is a magnificent remix! It makes me think of amd science lab in a dictatorship. ...Which makes me wonder if I could propose a request? -- "Devil's Lab" from FFVI?
Curse you and your masterful great works was sitting playing ff14 just trucking away doing quests and this enters my life followed by 2 hours of endless UA-cam lmao well done and thank you for this
one of my favorites themes from the game. There's something oddly powerful yet sinister about it. And you sir, made it more powerful and amplified it with a sense of dread. The music is also fitting for politically heavy themes. And really helps me when I'm writing my novel which involves a tyrant and totalitarian regime
Such a pain in the ass part of the story (gameplay wise) but such juicy details on Adele, and how she scared the entire world at the time. And Ultimecia trying to take her body and powers over. Juicy!
Well all Pandora really got to do was hit Trabia and Esthar and no one fucking cares or lives in Trabia. Like a more in depth look at how badly it messed up Esthar would be cool and how they managed to fix the city
So great :) Can you please do a Remake of "theme of love" (FF4), "searching for Friends" (FF6), "frontier Village dali" or "captivating Eyes" (FF9)? This would be awesome :)
Dammit Enrico! Now ima have to buy FF8 remastered on pc if released and swap the music files with yours you re-created over the past 3 years. Hope its possible
I like it, we have the impression it's very solemn and religious-type with bells, eerie vocals and all. Do you think Sorceress Adel can be regarded as a Goddess? I like your remake / remix. It will be used at my tabletop FF8 RPG. Thanks and great work, as always with you.

Agreed.
Lunatic Pandora was always Adel’s “succession of witches” in my mind
Just picture her pumping weights while this music played
She was a difficult boss when I first played this game. I thought she was a man at first
When u think about it... Lunatic Pandora is quite cool name and concept
Definitely a Box that was never meant to be opened…or in this case, used!
Loved lunatic pandora, such a shame that part of the game is so short!
There were quite a few parts of the game that were cut b/c of time constraints. Hopefully this magnificent game gets a remake and we get all of the parts that were cut.

JaMalcolm Payne oh really? Like do you know where I can find more details about the parts that were cut? Thnx
Like the Time Compression =/ i love that song
