That is not entirely true, it depends on your situation. When I was paid to use my own vehicle for work, it was so much easier for taxes and I needed a reliable car that did not need any shop time. Now that those days are passed I buy, but at that time it was so much better to lease. Over colleagues that bought vs my lease? not worth the extra hassle, leasing was the right choice.

When you lease a vehicle, you have to pay Citi tax on that vehicle not the dealer

You can tell this lady has never leased a car. If you have $10,000 in mileage fees, you can just buyout the lease and those fees will no longer exist.

This video is not meant to be a comprehensive tutorial on what to look for when returning a lease and all of its possible options and strategies. I just mention one concern which is going over your miles.

You are totally wrong on the miles allowed vs miles driven. You use the numbers of miles incorrectrly. Aksi, average price of miles over is typically .15-20 cents per mile.

Thanks for your comment and your concerns. I consider Ford a pretty average vehicle and they can go up to .35 cents/mile for exceeding your lease mileage, and many other dealerships are not far behind that. This only a rough average.
The average cost for miles over your lease agreement can really vary per vehicle , manufacturer, supply & demand etc...
Here are some examples that I have seen:
      • Ford up to .35 cents/mile
      • Porshe .30 cents/mile
      • Chevy .30/mile
      • Mercedes .25 cents/mile
      • Lexus .25 cents/mile
      • Tesla .25 cents/mile
      • BWW .25 cents/mile
      • Aston Martin $1.50/mile
Either way, the most important points here are not to get stuck with an unhappy surprise when turning in your lease and think twice before signing one!
Do you like leasing vehicles? Have you found any good deals on leases? Perhaps I should make a video completely dedicated to leasing vs buying.
