I was at this showing thinking wtf am I listening to. This could be the best music to come out from the rock/metal world in a long time. I ran home that night and immediately downloaded Opus. Been seeing them live ever since.

This is a great recording, cheers for uploading it! 👻 It's frustrating when you see all the proshot cameras there for the video walls.. probably that footage was recorded by the festival.. and is now buried on some HD somewhere before it gets lost or just never sees the light of day
Listen to how ungrateful everyone who attended this epic, historical 3 day musical event are! Look at them! That was a grown ass man in the front looking down at some broad saying "hurr hurr, testicles" like he's cracking a joke in middle school. And yeah they're probably the same ones saying they suck because their attention spans are so short, they couldn't be assed to pay attention to the intricacy of this awesome fucking band.
@@ShermanProductions2015 I actually preferred them in like 2015 with the backing tracks. It made them sound a lot more heavy and tight. WIth the Ghoulettes now they don't sound as heavy but they are still great. It just brings a different feel to the songs. I also don't like how Tobias now sings more nasally which restricts him from hitting the notes for some songs. He definitely had a better voice during the first 3 Papa's than he does now.

While I agree with you, there comes at point where you have to realize that in order for continued success, what they were doing wouldn’t work. Once you get to arenas and start making money, you have to actually entertain and audience which is nearly impossible in hot constrictive robes. If you look at Papa Emeritus IV his robes are designed to be less evasive and constrictive so he can actually entertain an arena. The quiet, evil pope and shrouded ghouls are badass in small clubs, but once venues get larger it gets awkward and no longer marketable or profitable

Less than an hour away from my house i watched on tv and the band I’ve loved since then has gone so far and im so proud
I was there at the festival. I remember people around me yelling "you suck". How times have changed.
fast forward today and im sure they are fans, sucks that ghost have been through a lot and im glad they just keep getting bigger and bigger
Now they are a Grammy-winning band. I'm so proud of them, too bad for the haters:) they are huge now.
There are still people on rock fan pages who say they suck in the comments of posts about them. But their sizable fan base was definitely formed.

I like the older instrument tone alot better here than the newer shows, but Forges vocals have improved tremendously.

I feel like Ghost is the soundtrack to my childhood that didn’t exist during my childhood. Not sure if that makes sense I’m pretty buzzed.
There is an interview early on with Tobias as the Nameless Ghoul where he says that is exactly what they were aiming for at the beginning 👹
People were shocked and confused at first, but they had the crowd hooked at Elizabeth and then reeled them in with ritual

They’ve used backing tracks for the choir/orchestral parts for a while. Everything else is live.
