The Book of Enoch should have never been removed from the Bible especially sins Genesis speaks about him
One notes the mention of Enoch in Genesis has no discernible relationship to the "Book of Enoch" of unknown origin. If you should write a lengthy fiction and add a random name, would that require publication?

@@againstalladsgames Indeed. The Book of Enoch was never banned in the sense of "boo-boo, bad-bad". It was not accepted into the canon of the Christian Bible via the Counsel of Nicea in the 3rd Century (as I recall).
The book was not banned, but it was not accepted into the Bible as it did not contribute anything to the history of God or His work with humanity. Not to mention the lack of attribution.

No one is stopping anyone from reading the books not included in the Bible, my friend. They are out there, just not added to the Bible because they were not considered divinely inspired or consistent with the core teachings and doctrines of the canonical scriptures. There are additional books in the Ethiopian Orthodox Bible that are not found in most other Christian Bibles. However, not all of the texts excluded from the standard canon are included in the Ethiopian Orthodox Bible, likely for the same reason.

@@loribrock1074 absolutely. Where is the line drawn from the accepted official "Bible" from exactly what you just said. Too much interpretation. Definitely lots of good lessons though. Definitely lots of good rules to live by . The world would be a better place if people followed the ten commandments. Obviously there are those contrarians that'll State the stupid rare restrictions the Bible says but all in all, a reasonable person knows what I mean. That being said I think there's a lot of metaphors they're supposed to be life lessons and not taking literally... or something to that effect
@@loribrock1074 absolutely I totally agree. Where does one draw the line between the quote on quote accepted Bible verses exactly what you just said. I think the majority of the Bible is definitely a good thing to try to live by as far as the Ten Commandments and a lot of good life lessons. I think it's mostly meant to be taken as a story, fable metaphors to live by versus something that States literal things that happened.... none of us knows none of us were there. None of us know anything really but this is just what makes sense to me . The tale of Jesus is definitely something nice people could learn a lot from. Somebody who sacrificed themselves for someone else. Not that I suggest anyone really do that but it teaches empathy teaches not to trust people that some people can turn on you quickly put that good can Prevail over evil ultimately. I don't know if this is exactly true or not we'll find out but I like to think so

Part 1 is the greatest lie ever told (religion, mainly Christian belif) and it goes into great detail all the similarities between Christian teaching and pagan belief systems, mainly that of ancient Egypt but other ancient belif systems and religious teachings and writings are mentioned too. It at 1 time was my absolute favourite documentary. It still ranks up there in my top 5.
There's actually now 3 or 4 different Zeitgeist movies. One even covers the myth around taxation and economics and shows how its just a rip off etc. Very interesting documentaries if you decide you wanna watch and be taught a few things in a different way that all actually make a lot of sense.

Why does the Catholic Bible have all the books? I have seen one while living in El Salvador, the father in law of our pastor was Catholic, and he had one. It was really thick.

Even a book supposedly written by Mary Magdalene was one of the books discovered in the dead Sea scrolls. I think there were over a dozen different 'books' that were discovered. And bot just the dead Sea scrolls but other books have been found within cave systems in the Sinae peninsula and Egypt over the last century.

One of the books also talks about how 'Jesus' would kiss Mary Magdalene on the mouth and the fact that she was his favourite 'disciple' who he taught more to than to any of the other disciples. And that Paul especially was very jealous of her and how close she and 'Jesus' were to each other.
Such stories can be found in the Dead Sea Scrolls. There are several books supposedly written by disciples including by his own brother James (the just).
Translations of the dead Sea scrolls can be found online if you're interested in reading what's within them and what's been left out of the Bible.

I would like to point out that the word Satan is also translated adversary. Peter was called Satan when he tried to convince Jesus that he didn't need to die on the cross. The idea that you won't truly die goes right back to the lie told by the serpent. Who says John of Revelations is the same as the book of John? It is debated amongst scholars. What your saying is not fact. The fact is Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are gospels according to. They were not even written by them.

There are also more banned books including the Gospel of Mary and the Gospel of Jesus. These went into great detail on what jesus and Mary really wanted for the church. Including jesus wanting Mary to be the first pope.

I like the part where they believe book of Giants is not a book of God and is fantasy. Like any other "holy book" is based in fact and is the actual word of God. The bible is basically a bumch of stories told in the past. And constantly being translated probably changed the REAL stories. Plus, one thing Ive always wondered is why do we hardly know anything about Jesus? We know about him being born and nothing til hes in his 30s. We know nothing of his life. Did he know who he was or was he visited buy an angel to explain his destiny? Honestly, the bible just raises more questions than anything. And giants being the offspring of fallen angels sounds like the concept of demigods in mythology.

Well, mythology DOES describe the same entities that are discussed in the Bible. I mean, it stands to reason that if these beings existed and these things were going, that they would be documented from many perspectives, in many books.

Reasons for not being included were essentially being grossly contrary to the Tanakh or writings by known associates of Jesus; not having any particular bearing on the message of God, or works of undetermined origin.
