I loved that you could sense the absolute FUN they were having in Lavish. I love that video so much. It cheers me up when I’m having a crappy day. ❤ Off to part two!
Jotted a few things down here as you went along - Midwest Indigo- the dog is Jim, Josh the drummers dog, the lady is Jenna, Tyler's wife and the dude is Josh's brother Jordan. Routines In The Night - The 'ribbon' around his neck says Clancy, the name of the album and the character that Tyler plays in the Lore and is actually a Bishops stole. (Long story, too much to explain here). Vignette - the bird sound is a vulture which also ties into the Lore (see the bird on the front of the Trench album). Yes Josh does trigger stuff. "Who writes them" not sure if you're referring to the songs? If so, Tyler and more recently Paul Meany of Mutemath has co written and co produced with Tyler. Paul's influence is strong in Vignette. The Craving - Jenna is Tyler's wife and they have three children. Josh's wife is Debby Ryan. Since Blurryface Tyler has had one song for his wife on each album. Tyler felt Jenna's version was a better fit on the album. Lavish - they found all the words to match the lyrics in and around their hometown Columbus Ohio but couldn't find anything that said Lavish! Cheers from coastal Dorset!
Hey there 👋🏻 Bird person here. That is not a vulture sound. After a couple listens, I think it is the sound of a hawk. That said, maybe Tyler was trying to bring a vulture to mind?
@@VanetaRogers1 Hi, yes I agree actually it's not correct for a vulture, but that's been such a strong theme in the Lore I went with it and I think thats been the assumption. Some have even said it sounds like a gull. Maybe we will learn something new in the video for Paladin Strait about a different bird...anything could happen at this point! 😆
Paul's influence created half of the best music they make, and half of the worst shit I've ever heard. Unfortunate. I'm glad it's just one dude, but it really does feel like Kanye going "here ......write and produce this so I can put my name on it" It's just......what does TØP have outside of being so relatable and genuine. Not anymore obviously. You can be down to earth and this wholesome guy we all love. You can't do that if someone else is creating 70% of what you do
I like how you said you enjoyed the little personal moments in the music videos. The person who helped them shoot the videos mentioned that they wanted to keep those moments in. So happy you decided to check out the whole album!
Dude… I’m geeking out at the start of your reaction video about how much you are enjoying their cheeky behaviour with one another, can’t wait to see your enjoyment of the rest of the videos on the album. I’ve finally decided that this is my favorite album of theirs, so much heart, so much joy, but so much realness as well.
Keep up the great job you're doing, your reviews are always genuine and insightful: even when you're not the biggest fan of a band it's clear that you know music and you know what you're talking about. I'll always support you and I'm happy TøP are growing on you 😉 love you lots 💖
This is great, one of the better reaction videos out there. I laughed a few times and genuinely enjoyed myself. I love witnessing people fall in love with tøp.
You give the best reactions hands down. Love your vibe and appreciation for their music. One of the things that makes me loves their music is just who they are. They’re just 2 best friends who love making music. Can’t wait for more videos.
20:44 You're thinking of Gorillaz lol. Ive watched basically every reaction to this album as it came out. And ive never heard anyone point out that this is, in every conceivable way, just a Gorillaz song. Its sounds IDENTICAL to them. Imagine hearing Damon singing it. It's so easy to hear his voice.
Lavish seems to be not getting much love but the first time I heard it (I didn't see the livestream so just heard the song without the video) it made me laugh out loud...I love how tongue in cheek it is. And the video just compliments it perfectly.
love your reactions! i honestly cannot choose a favourite out of the entirety of Clancy, it's all amazing. Once you've finished reacting to Clancy you should try reacting to a couple interviews, they like to play up the bromance there
if not the whole album, Id recommend at definitely listening to at least some songs off of their album trench. I think most people would agree it's their best album

Man I always enjoy a TØP Reaction from you. Even when you’re not a fan of something, you come across respectful and insightful, keep it up!

Paul Meany is brilliant!

@@Jules-R Hmmm yes could be a seagull since they are crossing Paladin Strait

I really like your reaction mate. Non bias, good commenting on the music, can't wait for part 2. Keep TOP coming 😁

Tylers is the writer, singer, and creator of all the music, Josh is the drummer and the muscle.
Along with Paul from mutemath since the trench era

love this album and enjoyed heaaring your thoughts!
Yeah, I think I’m still holding to Lavish as my favorite video and song on this first half… it’s just so fun!!! 😁

Lavish, next semester and maybe Midwest indigo are the best videos for me
