I always enjoy hearing the Outlaws. Their sound is very distinctive and I don’t know why they aren’t appreciated more 🤷🏻♀️. Anyway it’s a great choice. Thanks Neal and Harri 🌺✌️
What a great song! I saw the song title and thought, I know this one. But I couldn't think of how it went. But yes, fantastic song! I had this album at one time. But not for long enough. What a great band, talent.
Saw them for the first time at The Who's all day open air concert at Charlton Athletics The Valley football ground. No one knew who they were, but by the end of their set no one would ever forget them! I felt really sorry for Little Feat, who I liked, because they had to follow them. LF were good but after The Outlaws......they just couldn't compare. The Florida Guitar Army. 3 Guitars, 3 main singers, although the whole band could sing. Incredible harmonies and wild solo's...................Green Grass and High Tides Forever! I still have all the vinyl, and will 'til my dying day:
Probably because Molly Hatchet copied them. The Outlaws formed in Florida back in '67 and Hatchet came along in '71. To be fair the scene at the time meant a lot of bands had a similar sound. The Outlaws guys always held LS as their mentors and Hughie (The Flame)Thomasson went on to join LS and play with them for a number of years. Imitation is a form of respect after all!
@@hoolihanmick5897 I made the comment because he first posted this video, he said it was Chris Montez, a "easy" jazz singer. He mixed up the thumbnail.
Really enjoy your reactions and insights Harri! I think it might be time for some more Canadian content: Eyes of a Stranger by the Payola$. A one-hit wonder from the early 80s, but with a twist: It was a massive hit in Canada, placing in the top 5 on charts across the country, but the song never even charted in the US. Why? Well, the band name was an indictment of the US recording industry -- and they didn't like it. Still, give Eyes of a Stranger a play -- I think you might like it!
Great selection PN Combies and thanks to Harri too.
Thank you, Diane!
Yes, three lead guitarists. The Outlaws were sometimes referred to as The Florida Guitar Army.
Another really nice one Neal ❤ Loved the harmonies 👍🤩🥰 Thanks you 🤩💖🌟
Harri clearly enjoyed it
You're welcome, Agnete. My pleasure!
PNC - This was the one that I had never heard from your great submission list. This is terrific!
Dave - I had to keep replacing songs. Harri digs the Outlaws so I said, here's a "Song For You"! Thanks as always for your kind words, brother! 👊
I haven't thought about this band since the 80's. Thanks for bringing back the memories!
You're welcome. It was our pleasure!
Another great song Neal. Thank you and Harri.
You're welcome. The pleasure was ours, Cynthia!
The Outlaws were Great at Different Members playing the lead. One of the Greatest Live Bands back in the Day

You're welcome, Debbie. I just love the Guitar Army! 🎸💯🔥

What a great band, talent.
Really liked how the guitars traded out and the vocals were excellent. The riff smoked. Really enjoyed this one pncombies. Thanks all. ✌👍
Our pleasure, Imadrummin! Gotta love the Guitar Army!! 🎸🎸🎸🎸
The Florida Guitar Army . They were phenomenal LIVE . 3 lead guitars and 2 drummers made for a wall of sound .
Damn what an energetic band they were. They never missed and were Epic ...*
Great song and album. Thanks Harri

They were a solid band in the day!
'The Florida Guitar Army'!
Mailman1960
A lot of reactors try to figure out what genre the band is. When I was growing up, if it was playing on FM radio, it was just ROCK.
Chris has some really cool songs in his catalog.
Why do the guitars in this song sound like Molly Hatchet?
Probably because Molly Hatchet copied them. The Outlaws formed in Florida back in '67 and Hatchet came along in '71. To be fair the scene at the time meant a lot of bands had a similar sound. He man you had Chris Montez up before on this song! What happened!
I thought the guitar riff wasn't Chris'.
Really enjoy your reactions and insights Harri!

It's a really good sound but it's not LYNYRD SKYNYRD but it's not supposed to be.
This isn't Chris Montez, Harri. You have to fix the label.
Not Chris
