So Glad we got to host you. Come back again. Thrilled when our picture popped up that we helped make your BW stay the 1 choice of memberships.
So good to hear from you. Wonderful people like you are exactly why we love BW. We will be back your way for sure. You are an amazing host! Happy Mother's Day 💓
I looked at something called Campendium, it is really interesting. And I didn't have to pay anything to look around. But it shows you things to do in your area! I really liked it.
We have used Campendium to help find regular campgrounds and dump stations. We used the free version, too. It's definitely a great app. We need to look at it more for things to do in the area. Great comment. Thanks for joining us. 😊
I find the best rates at county and state campgrounds in Florida. Senior residents get 50 % off. No membership
fees.
We learned that about the Tennessee state parks this year. It's a great benefit of your traveling in your home area. Great comment.
Thank you so
Much for sharing this video ❤🌷♥️.
My pleasure 😊 Thank you for watching.
Love how you are always helping us with these awesome videos.
Thank you. Glad it was helpful.
Great list! You guys keep detailed records of your expenses - that's pretty good! I think that's cool that you meet cool people who are willing to take you in their car and show you around town with boondockers welcome.
We do to. We love the people we meet in our travels. The record keeping detail comes from my years of accounting. Lol. Have a great day!
@@RVAmerica People are wonderful all over the world ♥️ years ago, I traveled out of country to Europe, I had a few cards to help with translation, I could not read or speak (DUTCH) their language, and was hesitant when a gentleman (TRULY 100%) approached and in broken English asked if I needed help, I nervously fumbled with my cards and with a smile nodded, however I’m sure a look of “Please” I hope he’s sincere was on my face, I was a bit nervous and then I saw a lady and child in his car, so yes, I accepted a ride from total strangers in The Netherlands, one of the best decisions I believe I ever made, they drove me about 30 minutes out of route to my destination ♥️ because they were concerned for me (a foreign stranger) such respect, love, concern, and just plain old fashioned caring for another person, still has me in awe to this day, 20+ years later, there are so many loving people in this world I wish we would all remember to give them thanks and show our appreciation for what they contribute into the lives of others. I’ve found in my rv travels people are so ready and willing to help it’s amazing, almost magical (I don’t believe in magic) in the sense that, someone just shows up offering to help, not asking for anything, just offering to help someone in need, the world of rv/nomadic life is so full of wonderful people, I hope the word continues to spread until we’re all aware and offering help to others … let’s keep the love, kindness, generosity, and all that is good going while we can ♥️ stay happy & God bless.
@C C I love this. We totally believe RVers are the best people. We have several stories we could share as proof. Thank you so much for sharing your story. Let's pray the kindness spreads. Our world needs it. God bless and many safe travels. 🥰
I have had Harvest Hosts for now going on 2 years. We just got Boondockers Welcome this year. The "ask" for the night stay for Harvest Hosts is only $20 spent at the vendor/farm that is hosting you. You can be very frugal and keep to the 20. We specifically look for food options, so we can enjoy ourselves and just walk back to our camper and crash. If you eat out a lot, this does work out financially. If you don't, $20 is still a phenomenally cheap night to stay.
We totally agree! I have always wanted to stay at a farm. Nothing better than fresh fruits and vegetables. We are doing that next week. We also consider the weather conditions before we book our harvest host. We can deal with the cold ok, but we have pets and have to protect them from extreme heat. 20 a night is not bad at all for a safe place to stay. Like you said, you have to eat anyways. You are going to love Boondockers Welcome. Have you had a chance to use them yet? Have a great day!
Great breakdown. You know we are always about the best value for your money. 👍
You absolutely are. We get it. Have a great weekend 😀
Watched your video, because I was curious about your perspective. Dry camping vs FHU skews your preference. We tried HH and never used it. PA is a good program. First year, we traveled from West to East, using their parks. We have a lifetime membership. Thousand Trails does not work for us. We travel without reservations whenever we can and KOA always has a site for us. Good Sam park reviews are reliable and we find them to be a good option. What you left out is the Senior's National Park pass that also gives you a half price discount at COE parks.
We are actually not old enough for the senior part pass yes. So therefore we have no perspective on it. We have friends who use it and love it. Do you use that more than the other memberships? Danny will qualify next april and we can't wait to start trying it out. Thanks for watching. Great comment.
Awesome, my friends. 😍💕 Big like. 👍 Have a good day.🤗✨
Thank you. You too. 😊
Thanks for the information! I didn't know any of that. When I was a kid my dad had Good Sam and KOA that was about it. Some of those were awesome deals!
They really are and they will save you lots of money. Have an amazing day!
Just met you at little meadows in Grantsville MD, very nice couple. Go Bucks!!!
It was great to meet you. Roll ride! 😁😁😁
We have loved Harvest Hosts, but we really check-out the reviews and GPS the areas. Last year we stayed at an Ostrich Farm....really cool. We bought some Ostrich meat and a egg shell.
Great video!
Oh wow! We have never done that. It sounds so cool. Boondockers Welcome is still our favorite! Thanks for joining us 😊
Felicitaciones 👏 gran trabajo son una bonita pareja. Muy buena información estamos en el mismo camino. Ayudas y te ayudan. Tks
Thanks for watching. Hope this was helpful
Thanks very much for the reviews. Obviously honest, and natural reviews!! 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for joining us. Safe travels.
We agree 100% with your top 5- we have them all too! We even just got the KOA and will not renew it as we don't think we will be staying at KOAs. $18 rocks for average camping- Can't wait to see your upcoming adventure! See you soon!
Koa can really be expensive. Glad we are on the same page. We were very happy with our average. See you soon!
@@RVAmerica plus KOAs even with 10% off are expensive and always have found something cheaper in the area
@@ChasingOurSunshine totally agree!
Hi! This is one of the super videos I have seen today! Keep uploading such superb videos. Have a wonderful day! Stay Connected. 👍

We always love watching your Top 5 video’s, Thanks for sharing another with us, Hope your both keeping safe & well & having a nice start to this week 👍🥰😍xx
Thank you so much! You too. 😊🥰
We are D-minus 7 weeks from take-off and I've been reading and reviewing all 5 of these and THANK YOU for this video - I feel like you just verified the solidity of my opinion and my plan!
Congratulations! I know you are so excited. You are going to love it! So glad our video is helpful. Where are you going first?
@@RVAmerica after a stop to visit our new house site in NC we are headed to Ohio (visit family friends), PA, upstate NY, Maine....
@Jennifer Spillane have a blast. Sounds like an amazing trip!
With Good Sam yu can plan your trip with fuel stops
I keep a 3ring binder fo r all our stays and make notes of lkes and dislikes know goes back 4years
Thank you this was the best video I've found on the cost of these Clubs.
Thank you. We totally understand that some of the memberships get very complicated. So glad this was helpful. Safe travels. 😊
Great job on the top 5 passes guys! I really like how you shared the costs and the reservation processes for each one😊😊
Glad it was helpful. It is sometimes hard to understand which one will actually save you money. Have a great day.
Really super stylish sharing dear beautiful pair
Thanks for watching.
Great list of memberships. We have the Harvest Host/Boondockers Welcome combo. We plan to use it a lot over the next year.
It has really saved us a lot when it comes to campground costs. Thanks for watching!
Ask a gal who is about to hit the roads full time, I really appreciated your info! I have already purchased Memberships for Passport American, Harvest Host and Boondockers Welcomed .. I also have a life time senior state park pass as well. Then only thing keeping me from traveling all over the US right now is the cost of gas. Great video!
Thank you! The cost of gas is keeping us closer to home as well. I think it is having the same effect on a lot of RVers. Great idea on the state park pass. Hopefully, things will start coming back down soon, and we can all travel travel as we want. Have a very blessed day!
Vote Trump and drill baby drill!
These were pretty cool ! we actually are members of some of them and they do come in handy. thanks for sharing this. You guys are super cool and this was an amazing video !
Campground memberships can really help save you a lot of money. So glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks, this is the first time we've ever been super cool. 🤣😅. So glad you enjoyed the video. Have a great week.
Thanks for sharing your first year with us! WOW! It just seems like yesterday when you guys retired! Have Fun, and Enjoy God's Wonderful Creation! THANKS AGAIN FOR SHARING WITH US! God Bless You!
It seems like yesterday to us too. This past year has gone so fast! Hasn't God-created an amazing world for us to see. Thanks so much for joining us in our journey. Have a very blessed day.
That was really a great informative video. We ditched our usual stay at KOA this year for a little lower priced campground in Pigeon Forge. We like Koa but they tend to be over priced it seems. Nice video guys
That's how we think of them. And there are just better options options that will save us money. The more you camp the more you have to figure out how to save. Hope you're having an amazing day!
Well done. I dropped Harvest Host because after the yearly fee and buying things at the host it was costing way more than just staying at an RV Park. Good Sam and Passport America have deals so you can have a membership as low as $25 a year so they work well. We are dropping Thousand Trails which is good if you are close to their parks but we hardly are. We have kept boondockers welcome because you meet some cool people and they are all over the place. Thanks for a great video.
We totally agree. We do like our thousands trails. We think we only have to stay 2 weeks to make our membership money back. Everything after that is gain. It works for us. The passport America is totally worth it. We have used it a lot. Love our Boondockers Welcome! Great co.comment. Have a very blessed day!
Great review of memberships. I found out the GoodSam had great insurance rates also.
Thank you. That's good to know. Thanks for joining us. 😊
Great review. We have been living full time for about 18 months, 90 days in Ukraine, and will be starting to move around the country beginning in July. Looking at all the options
and your review and information were great. Thank you
Thank you so much. Glad it was useful I hope we run into you somewhere. We would live to hear your story on Ukraine. Be sure to try passport America. We have a full video on it, if your interested. Safe travels and see you on the road. 😊
Love the “Most Timers” RV category. Newly retired, now I know where we fit in. Awesome video!!
Welcome to the club. So glad it was useful. Let us know if you have any questions we can help with. 😊
Great tips 👍
Thank you!
Thanks for the info. Safe Travels!
Thank you for joining us. Safe travels to you. 😊
Thanks for the video, was very informative. We stayed one time, summer 2021, at a Thousand Trails (NC) campground. Of 20 yrs of camping, including dry/boondocking it was the worst experience we have ever had. Very poorly maintained campground, the sewer conncetion was a dirt hole in the ground and we couldn't even find it, someone from the office had to come and .show us where it was we then had to remove the rock that had been placed over the hole. Maybe based on one stay was not enough to make a judgement but it really put us off. We did not renew.
Crazy. We have stayed at a few bad ones to. But we have also stayed at some that were in great shape. If you get a chance watch our "Abandoned Campground " video. It was just plain sad. We still think they are great for the budget, even though we have been at a few, we would never go back to. Glad you enjoyed the video and great comment! Have a great day.
Can’t watch this with the music
Loved this video, it was so informative! We are getting ready to dive into memberships. I have a few questions for you. When you utilize Book dockers or Harvest Host, is there a website or app. to help find a dump station? Are there dump stations out there aside from other campgrounds and parks? What kind of fee comes along with a dump? You two did a great job on the video and made it very easy to understand the savings involved in each different membership.
I'm so glad it was helpful. Memberships can be very confusing. There is a Boondockers Welcome/Harvest Hosts app. It is under Harvest Host. You can use the app or go to the website. The website will show you all the dump stations that are available. Every time we have had to stop and dump, the cost has been around $10. We have also used campgrounds that we passed by. Same cost. They are pretty easy to find. A lot of the boondockers welcome people have a place to dump. That's a great question. Just message if you have any others. We have a link on this video that will give you a small discount of you decide to join. Safe travels! 😊
This is Great I had no idea once my wife retires we will be camping all the time, I think a drivable motor home for us then
You are going to love it. We do. We love our class A. It is so easy to set up. Thanks for watching. 😊
Just find your video, love it. This is one of my favorite topics. We're full time and try to find the best of price and comfort. You didn't mention our favorite, Coast to Coast! Your 78 nights would have cost me just over $4 without a huge up front investment. Let me know if you'd like for me to explain how it is possible.
I have read up on coast to coast. How much did you pay for you Home Resort site?
Thanks for watching !
Just upgraded my Harvest Host membership adding Boondockers Welcome due to your vlog. Thanks
You are going to love it! Let us know how it goes!
Thank you!
Your very welcome!
Thank you. Thinking here about Thousand Trails. After watching your video I think I will go for it.
We only use the yeary membership with Thousand Trails. Not the big dollar one. It works great for us at a lot less cost. Safe travels.
Great video very informative about Campground Memberships 🙂👍❤️
So glad it was useful. Thanks for watching.
@@RVAmerica Ur very welcome🙂👍❤
Thank you for great sharing have a good day take care ❤❤
Thank you for joining us and have a blessed day.
Great video thank you! I'm an OTR truck driver usually out for 5 weeks then I'm off for 2 weeks. No sense in buying a home so I'm considering this lifestyle of just camping for my hometime. Looking for a small toy hauler for my street glide. This would be great to camp in different states, unload the bike and explore.
Yes it would. It would work great for you. The memberships could really help you save on campground fees. Having 2 weeks off to explore would be perfect. Hope this video was helpful. Thanks for watching. 😊
Great information. We have all of those except Boondockers, but we will be purchasing that too. See y’all soon!
We think you will love it! And we can't wait to meet up. Have a blessed day.
Great video! We just add Boondockers Welcome to our Harvest Host package. Can't wait to start using it.
Thank you. You will love it!
Appreciate this very useful information, you reinforced some ideas I had, but didn't trust as a newbie! Great video, thanks!!
So glad it was helpful. Memberships can be very confusing. Happy travels!

Your video is very informative, but the music is very distracting. Thank you for sharing😊
We are sorry about that. We are learning as we go. Glad you enjoyed it. Safe travels.
I really enjoyed your video on the cost and facts of staying at different places and the membership info. We are in the process of down sizing and selling the sticks & bricks to go full timing in a new 5th wheel. I've been watching a bunch of videos about boondocking on BLM & COE land and other ways to save $$$. We also belong to Boondockers Welcome, Passport America & Good Sam. We also use Coast to Coast & Travel Resorts of America. I have been thinking about joining Thousand Trails and Harvest Host. Maybe after we get out on the road we will see if they will be beneficial to us. I've started to use RV Trip Wizard for trip planning. Good luck in your future travels and we'll be watching more videos.
Thank you so much for joining us. There are lots of different ways to save money on the road. So far we have only purchased a yearly membership of thousand trials. It has met our needs quite well and save us thousands. Where do you have planned to go on your first trip? It's so exciting taking off that first time after retirement. Have a great day. Hopefully we will run into each other on the road sometime. 😁
Thanks for review, very helpful!
Glad it was helpful! We appreciate your joining us!
That was so well explained. I would love to meet ppl. but my hubby is an introvert. He has a heart of gold but especially after covid, his trust in the world has bottomed out. I am very interested in TT basic camping pass. I like Maine and Florida, and all Americans. We are Canadian, so i question if i can buy a TT campers pass for Maine and Florida. I did the math, if I stayed 7 nights in moody beach Maine TT, everything after is gravy. We are both retired, early, hubby has MD. so we want to travel for as long as he can.
I'm so glad it was helpful. I'm afraid covid has weakened a lot of people's trust. I would think they would allow you to purchase a tt membership. Especially the yearly pass. We stayed at Moody Beach a couple of years ago. It's a really cool place. There is a lot to see in the area. We have a video on it. The yearly pass will completely pay for itself in a week or two. We are headed back that way next summer. Hope to go on up into Canada. I'm sorry about your husband's MD. We will keep him in our prayers. I would travel as long as I could if I were you too. Maybe we will even meet up somewhere. 😊 I love meeting people and making new friends. Thanks so much for joining us.
Interesting information 😊
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for joining us. Have a great week. 😊
Excellent content. Consider using an audio interface and mics to really set the bar high!
This was actually one of our earlier videos and we now have the mics. Thanks for watching. Safe travels. 😊

Thank you, this is incredibly helpful!
Great. Thank you for watching and let us know if you have any questions 😊
Great info! Thank you! It was good to see your breakdown of the memberships and hearing your rationale of each one. We will be in the UP (not Maine!) this summer too!
Glad it was useful! We are so excited about the UP. We have never been there. Looks like there is so much to see. Have you been before?
@@RVAmerica we have never been. It’s been on our list to do and with gas prices right now, we decided to do our trip closer to home. We were going to travel to Prince Edward Island but then decided it would be best to stay in the US so planned a trip out to Colorado but then again, didn’t want to dole out the money for gas so UP it is!
Im new to Rving so I’m learning. Passport America locations in the NW was pretty spotty, all private CGs . Can’t complain though, it helped. Camping World membership was worth it for Rv stuff.
I like State Parks but they have limited full hook ups but I like them better than Resorts. I’m going to look into Boondockers - . I’m finding travel is pretty expensive .
Travel is pretty expensive. We have a really good video on Boondockers Welcome, if you would like to watch it. This is a program that saves us a lot! Be sure to message us if you have any questions we can help with. Our email is on our about us page. Have a blessed day

Great video and channel. Good information. I sometimes camp at campgrounds. Thanks for sharing this. New follower here. Crow✌️
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for coming over! We appreciate your support!
I'm about to retire, and my wife and I plan to be part-timers. We have a bumper-pull toy hauler and plan to venture out into the US with our Harley. We're excited about our adventures to come. One question about the boon-docking places. What are the 'rules' or etiquette codes about using generators (especially the quieter inverter generators) at boondocking sites that don't offer power?
Congratulations! You are out for an adventure. We call ourselves most timers. We stay on the road most of the time but keep our home base. In answer to your question. Every location is different. They usually list the rules on their page. We have never had it be an issue. They understand we have to have our coffee in the morning. Lol. Sometimes, they will list quite hours. But usually, they don't care. Great question. Feel free to message us if you have any more. Safe travels. 😊
Very informative! Thanks for sharing.

We will definitely check-in out.
That’s right….yes dear.
Thanks for joining us. Safe travels.
thanks for sharing, hoping to in the future, be able to do some of that with my wife. We've talked about a 40 footer.🙏🙏👍 enjoy your video. Been a little while since I've been to the U.P., work still keeps me busy.Safe travel U2.
I think a 40 footer would be really nice with a lot of space. But, we have found that the larger the rig the fewer places you are able to stay.. Just something to keep in mind.. We have never been to the UP and can't wait to go. Thanks so much for watching!
@@RVAmerica try to do most of your driving in daylight hours as it's pretty dark, I mean really dark and lot's of deer 🦌🙏👍, thanks for the advice on the RV, we currently have 3 mini dachshund under foot 👣
@@steelhorsetravels9791 We really try to never drive after dark. Mistakes are made when we sit up in the dark. I see why you want a large camper. Lol.
Great video as always 😎
Thank you!
We dropped Passport America because we got tired of the rules and also being given the worst sites sometimes in a park. Granted it might be only for a night but we still want to enjoy the stay.
They do have a lot of rules. We agree it gets frustrating. They are usually older parks to and that doesn't help. But, we have stayed in a few decent ones. We figure the price is so cheap if we stay 2 times a year we have our money's worth. Great comment. Thanks for watching.
Really enjoyed the video of the overview of the various memberships. Very informative!
I have one question for clarity. We were told by 1k Trails that they did away with the 4 night park to park rule. In your video you state that you do it. Is it true that the 4 night stay and then to another park still in affect?
Thanks so much and safe travels!
Hi Rick, we just double-checked, The rule is the same as we have known it. For the camping zone, if you're in a 1000 trails park for 4 days or less you can go to another 1000 trails park right away. Now if it's an encore (trails collection) add-on park, if you are in a park for a day you have to stay out of all parks for 7 days. Now they are some higher-level memberships that can allow you to go park to park even with the Encore /collection. Codie with TT said he would be glad to help you with any questions. Just go to the link in the video description.
Thanks for watching,
Danny & Lynn
@@RVAmerica Thank you for the clarity :) I didn't realize there were 2 different setups. Thank you

Thank you so much for following our journey. We appreciate your support.
Thank you both for the great information!! Any other organizations or places to stay if one is NOT RVING, and just sleeping in my car, needing no hook ups for example, please? Thanks in advance!!
You can try HipCamp. They want you to have a tent. We have friends who carry a small tent. Pop it up and then sleep in their car.
For free camp places, try Dryt, iOverlander, or FreeCampsites.net

@@RVAmerica Thank You!
Your very welcome!
Great information for us when we get ready to retire and travel a lot Was wondering do you use any kind of road side service thanks
We are actually signed up for AAA, but thank goodness we have not had a chance to use them yet.. We have heard bad things about all of the other ones and they seem like the less even the less evil of the lot. Since we haven't actually had to use them we can't speak about how good they are or not. At. Sorry we don't have more information for you, but we're actually grateful. Lol Also, we did get the Triple A that has the extra policy for RVs. Hope this was a little helpful. Thanks for joining us.
We have KOA, FMCA, Passport America, and Good Sam. They work well for us.
Harvest Host can’t fit our 43 ft Diesel in most locations. HH is good for a RPod or a B van
We don't use harvest host as much as we do boondockers welcome. Boondocker's welcome has a setting where you can put the size of your rig in and it rules out everything that's smaller than that for you. I have a great day.
Are you guys from the Tennessee area? I found you guys a very unconventional way. Haha i was riding through traffic and someone had a tire cover on the back of their car that said "RV America follow us on youtube!" So here I came running to youtube and i swear the man in this video looks exactly like the man who was driving. It would be cool if yall were local to me!
We are in Tennessee. Was it a red jeep?
Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching.
Great, new subscriber here!
Thanks so much. 😊 Have a great day.
This was some really good info. I'd totally do Harvest Hosts if we were retired where we could go more often. I think it would be awesome to camp at an orchard, winery, goat farm and whatever else there is offered. Boondockers Welcome was another we had looked into. But again, since we can't go on a regular basis, not sure it would benefit us. By the time any would be beneficial for us, they'll be so expensive we won't want to be members lol.
Hopefully they will not raise the price anytime soon. We really love our boondocker's welcome. It is our most used program. I think I was thinking you guys were already retired. Hopefully soon! I have a great day.
@@RVAmerica oh no. We have several years to go.
We've only started RVing. Not out very often, still working full time, but Harvest Hosts has been great in WI. Accepted last minute. Fish Farm and a Farm to Table kind of place, locally grown and raised items. The night we stayed they had fired baked pizzas and a live band. Interesting conversations at 6feet during covid. Can't wait to go again!
@Cathy Naber wow. Sounds like you had an experience! What fun! We love Boondockers welcome to. It is our favorite. Have a very blessed day!
Great information. I am retiring in a few months, and we plan to take off in our 5th Wheel for a year or so. We have joined Harvest Host and Boondockers Welcome, but I thought you could only stay at those locations for 1 night. You said something about staying 5 nights, or did I misunderstand? We are looking in to Thousand Trails with the Trails Collection but are so on the fence about doing the yearly or purchasing a resale membership. It was good to see that you can save a lot on other options.
You can stay multiple nights with the boondocker's welcome but not with harvest host. You just have to look at the app for what their restrictions are. We are like you and still on the fence with thousand Trails. We may do a video in the next few weeks on how we make the yearly membership work for us. It's great to have several things in your bucket to choose from. Congratulations on your retirement. Very exciting! You will love it!
I hear a lot of complaints about non-availability in the thousand trails campgrounds: did you experience this? I am still hoping to start my RV adventures by next year so praying that costs will go down by then so my retirement dollars can last…
Great job on this list. Very informative
Btw… I am learning the ukulele now so I can play on the road when we do decide to full time RV
I don't think we have had any major complaints about availability with 1000 trails. That being said, when we stayed for 2 weeks, the way we like to do, we are then locked out for a week.. This is based on the fact that we just have a yearly membership. Camping zone.. It works for us. They aren't everywhere, so we feel this way we are getting our money's worth . We use other programs, such as boondocker's welcome to fill in the gaps. When we stayed in Daytona this past winter, 2 of the parks were full, so we just went to the 3rd one.. That has happened in a few places. Maybe we didn't get our 1st choice, but we did get in. If you have any questions about it, call Codie in the link in the video. He is really great and we didn't even buy a package.
Congratulations on your upcoming retirement. Hopefully we will have a chance to visit somewhere. It is awesome that you are learning to play the ukulele. We can't play anything. Have a great rest of your week!
Very informative video. Thanks 👍
Thank you for watching!
There are alot of 5 star resorts in Passport America. Been with then since 2001
Good. We were in one that was really nice this summer in South Dakota. Where are the ones you found? Thanks for joining us. Have a great week.
Might have to try Boondockers Welcome. We are harvest host, will we get a discount for Boondockers Welcome?
They were supposed to be raising the price to 79 a year. But it looks like you can still get it for the $50 with the Link in the description of the video. Once you get it for that, it will lock in at that price as long as you keep. Have a blessed weekend!
You left out the best deal. Get an ‘America the Beautiful - Senior Pass’. While currently the cost is $80 for a lifetime membership, I got mine a few years back for $10. What do you get? - 50% off camping fees in National Parks, National Monuments, Corps of Engineer’s campgrounds, US National Forest Campgrounds, and BLM campgrounds. Not only 50% discount on camping spots, but you can enter national monuments with no fee. I suspect that the $10 I spent on my senior pass several years ago has saved me thousands.
We love our senior pass. At the time we made this video, we did not qualify, so we had no experience with it. We do now. We use it everywhere we can. It is a huge savings. We may need to remake this video. 😁 Great comment. Thanks
so much. Safe travels. 😊
$13 per night average. That is great. Now we just have to retire. Yep we will be part timing it too. Ok, does you cat have a bell. We were not sure if it was your or ours jingling
We call ourselves most Commerce. Lol we thought that was a pretty good average too. Maybe we can beat it this year. Always up for a good challenge. Lol Our cat does have a bell. I actually had to go check . Lol. Could not remember. Have a great rest of your weekend
Interesting how the list has changed over the past 20 years. 🐸
It is. There are so many options not. Do you belong to any of these groups?
Let's be Real.. if you're going to mention fuel discounts at truck stops.. you should also acknowledge the fact the Truck Stops universally charge at least $.20 more per gallon than area gas stations, and I never have any issues getting in and out of them with my 37' 5th-wheel. And maybe I missed it, but you spent $2948 for 162 nights, but how much did you spend on memberships?
Our memberships were averaged in. That's the only way you can know whether they are worth it or no. We don't use diesel, our rig is gas. We totally agree that truck stops are more expensive. Sometimes, you just don't have a choice. Thanks for watching and great comment. 👍
I’ve found Flying J less expensive than other area gas stations
Excellent suggestions and wonderful information. I use Harvest Host and found it to be very good overall. I like supporting local businesses. So Boondockers Welcome is interesting and I will investigate this. Thank you. Dave at Someday is Today.
Boondockers Welcome has saved us to much. It would be much harder to travel without it . We really like supporting local businesses too. Harvest host is a great way to do that. Have a very blessed day!
What about escappees
We don't use Escapes. We have friends that do and like it alot. We just never have. So you use or recommend it? Safe travels. 😊
Is it OK for non Americans to get passport america ????
I would think so. I don't see why it wouldn't be.
Good Sam is not a good deal because discounts may not be available in the south during winter and on weekly rates. Camping world items have a high mark up, better to get items from Amazon for much less.
We have really gotten our use out of Good Sam's on our current trip. It has more than paid for the membership. I think it really depends where you are traveling. We don't really shop Camping World. Safe travels.
All I hear is the background music. If your going to add music while your talking you should add captions as well
I'm sorry it was too loud.. Thanks for letting us know. You can tap the CC button for captions.
Camping World has been a nightmare for many of us.
That's exactly what we have heard. 😁
I think there should be a disclaimer about a Good Sam membership saving you 10% at Camping World. Yes you save 10% off their regular price but the prices are so inflated to begin with, you aren't saving anything. Dozens of times I have bought the exact same product from Amazon for a lot less even after the discount Good Sam provides. Same with Gas or Diesel. Pilot/Flying J locations are always more expensive than Loves, TA/Petrol. Personally I have a Diesel truck that pulls my 5th Wheel. I have a TSD Logistics membership. It was free to get and it blows any other discount fuel card out of the water but it's Diesel only right now. Since I got that card, I haven't even considered stopping at a Pilot/Flying J location.
That's great. We have heard about the card. Wish they made it for their gas. You really have to watch and always check for a better price. Not many places can beat Amazon. We honestly order almost everything from them. Great comment!
@@RVAmerica Keep an eye on TSD Logistics. They are working on a gas card but I don't know when it will be available.
@@robh063 We will, thanks.
I didn't renew my KOA membership either. Most of their campgrounds are older and overpriced. 10% off a butt load of money is still too much money.
We agree, they are over priced. There are just other ways to that stretch your money further, better. Thanks for joining us. 😊
