Do you have stats on these messages? I've closed a few deals through LinkedIn but these messages seem like they have a low response rate. Do you have a goal for responses that you're looking for? 5% or higher than that?

As a co-founder of animation & videoproduction studio, I don't see any personalization for food production industry, where is it in these messages? Hi Alex, I tried posting a comment yesterday but seems like it didn't went through. I have bought the LinkedIn Box and seen the conversation like you mentioned here. Most of the experts suggest one should pitch in the first conversation to a cold audience be it in any platform. But here though it is customized to that industry we are pitching immediately as soon as the potential client accepts our connection. Wouldn't it be spammy or should we not first try to build, nurture the connection and interact with their pain points? Pl advice

@@AlexBerman Wouldn't you agree that it's about whether you are solving someone's problem, and that's why they don't see your message on LinkedIn as spamming? Spamming is seen as getting unsolicited emails or letters that don't address a client's issue or problem. "Pitching" in the first conversation is acceptable if the potential client believes you can help them solve their problem. Even in your second example, they needed clarification to determine if you could potentially help them in the future. Building rapport or nurturing the connection with a post is excellent and unnecessary to help eliminate a client's pain points.
