My mom never cooked for us growing up, so we ended up living on takeout and other crap that of course ended up being detrimental to my health. I actually envied all my friends whose mom's did cook for them, and it felt like a special treat when I would go over to their houses for dinner to enjoy a home cooked meal. Now as an adult I make it a priority to cook for my family every chance I get, it's immensely rewarding both physically and mentally.

My parents were literally the same. As a kid, I thought it was normal to have 3-4 takeouts a week and was surprised when my school mates would tell me about how healthy their families would eat. Then, on the times when they did cook, it was always shit like dinosaur dippers and chips.
Today, I’m the complete opposite and have been tracking my macros everyday for the past 5 years. I swear when I have a family, I’ll ensure that they have a healthy diet as I know how badly it can mess you up in those development years.

I learned how to cook off my mother about 3 years ago. I regret not doing it as a teenager! I didn't have the mindset to learn then. I can do chicken, salmon, cod, minced meat w/spaghetti bol, fried eggs etc etc and of course all the vegetables ya need. All the basics I need to get through the week. I cook for my family most days now. Not only is it good to keep on top of diet but it's nice to prepare food for yourself and or family but cooking is quite relaxing. Get on it lads! Only recently thanked my mom for growing me up on home cooked meals everyday and never takeaways.

Mothers are gonna loose the tradition of home cooked meals for their kids. I’ve noticed more and more ppl these days don’t know how to cook as well. Hey hamza! I’ve been working out and doing MyFitnessPal and doing great with it for 8 months! This video makes me feel better because I know I’m doing it right. I always ask myself, “ am I doing this right?” Even though I am seeing huge progress. I started off with a cut the first 6 months but then realized I need to gain the weight back. I was 196 when I started and when I was at my lowest cut (2 months ago) I was 153. Now I am 158 Doing a lean clean bulk at 2400-2700 cals. Lots of protein, good carbs, good fats. Here and there I have a cheat meal but that’s only because I’m having family get togethers or vacations. I learned to let myself have a bit of fun but as soon as I’m done I get back to work. Love you hamza, thanks for the great videos.

I love how my two roommates (they are girls btw) find it so damn weird the fact that I weight the food I'm bringing for lunch in university in order for it to be exactly the same I'm eating for dinner the day before. It's sooo damn funny to me AHAHAHAH

But as a girl, honestly guys have better dieting methods and stuff, losing/gaining weight without starting a borderline eating disorder or drinking 20 gallons of water a day. Plus you can usually just eat what you want just less or more so it's a win win ig

I need to learn how to cook a few things before I go off to college so that I can keep eating healthy
