I remember listening to this on returning home from boarding school after 7 hours of journey. I fell asleep and when the heavy part hit, it gave me fever for 3 days. For real. True story.
Started leaning this last night started with a different tutorial which was hard to follow and wrong. Watched this one and got to 12 mins through in about an hour but its so much easier to follow. Pick up guitar this morning and can still remember it all . Thanks for all these uploads ;-)

@@juanpabloduarte2001 Probably about a 6 I'd say. In any case I'm now at the point where the only part of the tornado of souls solo that I can't play is the crazy descending bit after the fast arpeggiated section. Ben Eller gave it the best name: the wtf lick.

This is my third day learning this song. First day I learned the intro, second verse, today I'm learning chorus. I hope that at the end of the month I will be playing all parts of this song and it won't sound horrible ;) thank you Karl! You're the best teacher out there.

The different ways you play it especially given you study how it’s performed live. 11:45 I just used a regular C chord to play the same part and it is just fine. The only thing is I have to lift my index finger for a note and move my middle finger from 4th to 3rd string's second fret on the last note
I learned this a really different way some how. I don't touch the 4th and 5th frets in james clean part, I just use more open strings. I mean it still sounds good but I think my way adds to much ringing to it, while this way cuts them off so it sounds tighter.
Learned this song by ear as a teen when it came out. Quit guitar and now im going back trying to relearn everything i forgot. This makes it wayyyy easier lmao
