Separating out the specific parts and tools for each of the seven step assembly process steps was brilliant on the part of the manufacturer. For the price, I am impressed at how sturdy this ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxvObaTzoHoHQLL4lHbJQmExHqsrZQm-f7 unit is and it does go together easily. Well, I was puzzled at first at Step 5 and maybe the instructions should mention that rail #62 needs to be tilted upwards a little to get the rail to fit into the main part #44. I like it that the rower can be stored vertically in a really small amount of space, but be forewarned that this rower is top heavy and for safety you'll need at least two bungee cords to keep the unit upright, attaching them to something; in my case to a third garage door. I have had this unit only a short time, and I will post an update once I've had it for a year. As for working your legs, I have to admit that I'm mainly rowing for upper body strength and I use other forms of exercise for leg strength (like walking fast, biking, or using a trampoline. But if you pull as far forward as possible, then you can give preference to your legs for the first 4 feet or so of travel. I also admit to not taking the two electronic connectors apart at Step 7. I simply inserted the two batteries while the other parts remained connected. By the way, there is plenty of resistance here, even in the lowest resistance settings. Kudos to Sunny Health & Fitness !
i was hoping the phone holder would have a wireless charging pad or something like that. otherwise it just seems like it's some empty space that they decided to call a phone holder after the fact. love the tilting screen and adjustability of the screen - i only wish it could turn a bit more. if you only have ~7ft of width in your room, you could fit the rower, but the screen only turning partially means that you have to stay "in front of" the rower to some degree to get to use the screen while you're doing an off-rowing-machine workout. if it turned a full 90 degrees, you could hop off and use the entire width of the room that the rower runs along.
overall, it looks like this is way more than an incremental update; real design decisions have been made to reflect how people use (and can use) this in a home, which is awesome to see.
I just got an ad of Facebook for this, I’m about 300 pounds cant really run anymore but want to get back in shape and this caught my eye. I needed something lower impact but I’ve also had neck and shoulder reconstruction a few years ago so my arms are weaker.
Just bought mine today can't wait to get back into shape.
Thanks for the review. Ordered the Strong series rower and set it up a few days ago. Did my first minor workout today and for some reason while trying to stream Netflix I would row for maybe 10-20 seconds and it would kick me out of the stream to the summary... It did this like 4x in a row before I gave up and switched to a virtual environment and rowed and everything worked there fine. Anyone else experience this with the stream? I just want to watch something as I row and not get booted to the summary, lol.
just ordered this! I almost went with the Peloton, but between no review on this channel yet, and the 3 week wait time, the Aviron seemed like the best choice for me :)
Now a yr later is said peloton is going under.. good choice!
I always enjoy your reviews. How would you compare the amount of sound form this new tough rower to say a Waterrower? I have a used Waterrower but looking to upgrade but I live in an apartment so sound is a concern for me.
One thing I'm having trouble deciding is I want to train. I like how Ergatta tailors your training but this one I feel like they will add it in eventually. I really like using trainingpeaks for my workouts too and I don't think any of them link to it

If you don't mind sharing, what shoe size do you wear? I'm a 9.5 (men's/US) and just wanted to gauge if the footplate/heel observation will be a concern for my likely smaller shoe size. Helpful review. Thanks!

Just curious, I haven't seen you review the Peloton rower. Is there a reason for that? I'm trying to decide between the Hydro Rower, the Aviron rower, or the Peloton rower. Which one would you recommend?
Damn looks like this one took care of all my issues I have with the Impact. Maybe I'll start thinking to sell my Impact for the Strong.

Okay Austin, that is really impressive and looks fun. However when all is said and done, when I'm prepared to get a new rower it is going to have to be a Concept. I'm going with the Concept simply for the monitor, as I want to be able to compare stats with my friend, instead of just strokes per minute. Your videos are always so informative and straight to the point. I'm surprised you didn't mention the price of this rower. I know I can go Google it, ✌️!
The concept 2 monitor is great too! You can also compare stats with friends on this one, too! I should haven mentioned the price point - that was my bad!

Just got my Aviron a couple of months ago - not gonna lie - wish I knew this one was coming..... Regardless, the Aviron ecosystem is amazing!
The original machine is still a great one and it’s been a staple of mine for a long time!
Always the risk when investing in a somewhat new company. 🙈 I snagged the limited offer 60 day trial and was already talking to them about swapping for the tough (they had misinformed me about one of the features of the tough) before this announcement. I was going to just return it rather than take the risk that the tough would solve my problems, but this version may convince me to stay with aviron and upgrade to this new version. 🤔
@@trainingtall For sure. I'm still happy with mine and use it every day I'm home. The shorter length, width adjustable foot pedals and tilting screen make this a no brainer compared to the impact - but it is what it is. Looking forward to your new training series btw!
I am not commenting on the new rower but I must say that you helped me so much with rowing! I started rowing a month ago and today ..lol… I really felt like telling the guy rowing besides me how wrong he was rowing but gonna suggests your videos next time I see him 😅I am addicted to rowing now and I wanted to thank you for your videos.

Do you know how far apart the food pads actually go? distance in between? - I have tried a few rowers, but the foot placement has always caused me issues
