As someone who works from home and also doesn’t do much socializing due to having to still be cautious about Covid due to health issues, this podcast is the closest I come to hanging with the fam each week and I look forward to it so much.
This really was peak “Rainie being the younger sister to three high school boys” 😂 just her watching her three goofballs eat and review the confusing-sauced bowls was adorably funny ❤
I LOVE the new title card sequence. The Doritos are pointing forward indicating a new direction forward while still being rooted in the TRIfecta of the guys, yet all three colors overlap to show an entirely new color also indicating their new direction that includes integrating many new people into the fold. It's actually so clever!
Technically zach wasn’t wrong about cops loving yoshinoya. In Hong Kong, it’s considered a “blue store” ever since the 2019 protests, they supported the side of the police aggression instead of the people who were usually represented by “yellow”.
that's a reduction of what businesses were actually in support of. Don't ignore the fact that many "protestors" were seeking the reinstatement of political powers that were endowed to a ruling class under British imperial rule.
20:10 Update. This is so sad to see! Yoshinoya is a STAPLE. RELIABLE. YUMMY. fast food chain from Japan. Unfortunately doesn’t seem to be the case in the States :’(
this pod feels like hanging out with your older siblings/cousins and their friends, like these are convos i’d never have with my friends but im so invested. (also i got yosinoya when i was like 7 and got food poisoning, it was traumatic and has been burned in my memory so praying for you guys)
Keith often talks about how he'd eat non-traditional meats & Zach often talks about horses being attractive. This podcast is my favorite dose of chaos.
Miles’ pronunciation of Yoshinoya was actually closer to the Japanese pronounciation, no need to correct the man (we get it you watch anime love u miles)
It wasn't, but it wasn't super far off. They were both wrong. I'm japanese and made a comment diving into it. ua-cam.com/video/tchVBQRSSqE/v-deo.html&ab_channel=JapaneseEnglish101 But also that's a link on pronunciation
I feel like in honor of the Try Guys Dorito era, Keith needs to try all the Dorito flavors…with Zach and Eugene as special guests picking their favorite flavors. Edit to say I literally wrote this two minutes before Zach said it. Great minds…😂😂😂😂😂
To correct ALL the people in the comments PLUS the pod gang: yoshinoya is pronounced somewhere between how both of them were pronouncing it. Zach took all the emphasis out of it, however it does have emphasized parts. But Miles emphasized the shi (し)a little TOO much and combined the noya (のや) bit, no and ya are separate so when you say it, it's : yo-shi-no-ya not yoshi-noya-- however, the emphasis he did was semi-accurate. Before anybody comments "you're wrong, I watch anime"-- I'm literally Japanese. shhhh. EDIT: Also to what Keith said about the fact that Miles said 'yoshi' so emphasized, I mean yoshi is a Japanese name; Miles wasn't too far off by emphasizing it.
ua-cam.com/video/tchVBQRSSqE/v-deo.html&ab_channel=JapaneseEnglish101 Found a video with correct pronunciation. You'll notice it's only slightly different to how they both were pronouncing it, which is why I say it's in the middle.

Keith that is a very rational fear… I was babysitting my 10yr old little cousin and we pulled up to a gas station and a guy next to us forgot the gas pump was still attached to his car and he zoomed out and ripped it off. I lived in Japan for 13 years and there’s Yoshinoya chains there which I’m sure are 100x better than the U.S. But the beef is supposed to be ribbon-like, it’s just thinly-sliced beef. I hope you guys can try it elsewhere or even in Japan because it’s delicious!
