Our people are conservative and do not put yourself and talk about the people, if you are not conservative and not religious Take this tourist man to your house and make him sleep in your house . and talk about yourself only. so sad when I hear that from Jordanian person if you're actually .

@@d4545, I am not sure if you aware, on around march 10th the holy month of Ramadan will be starting , so most of the restaurants will be closed during the day and only opening on the night. If you are Muslim you will enjoy the month but if you’re not, then it will be hard for you.

Roman, I was in Amman around the same time as you (last September) and was the best trip of my life, I have literally walked in the same steps you have taken this video , Hashem, the big bazaar aound downtown. The waiter in Hashem at 8:45 s one of the happiest people I ever met (although hes frowning here lol), he smiled every time we saw him each morning for breakfast. I've a picture with him in the restaurant. Glad you had a great trip.
Hachem is one of the oldest places for Hummus, falafel and fava beanl (called fool). I discovered it when I did my undergrad back in the 1980's but it is much older than that. Typical breakfast for Amman. The place you went by in the begining is Habeeba, also one of the oldest knafeh (cheese stuffed dessert) in Amman. A few meters over is Bikdash, originally from Syria set up business in Amman after 2011 and is one the best Arabaic ice cream places in Amman, the original shop in Dmascus old soq (hamidieh) is about 100 years old. Even before when you were walking towards downtown, there is a place called Sallorat al Shahbaa, originally from Syria, this place started some 30 years ago and they serve the best ishta (cream) - based sweets you can find in Amman.

Been to Jordan this May. Visited Amman, Petra, Jerash and Dead Sea region. Wore shorts everywhere and no problems. Jordan is one of the most amazing places I have visited. Amazing people and even the elderly spoke very good English. Very tourist friendly!❤
Btw the sugar juice the big one is one dinar so please be careful when you buy there is alot of scammers here in jordan bro But mostly everyone here is friendly and welcoming We love people from other cultures and we like to talk about our culture abd religious since almost all of Jordanian are Muslims so .. i hope you will have a good experience and enjoy 😁
As someone who is in Jordan right now, Pants is not needed and no one will judge you unless you are praying. Just a warning, if you get caught holding a pride flag or protesting for pride, you will indeed get your ass kicked
I am an indigenous north african and although I am not a jordanian I am sure men walking around in shorts is seen as normal especially long shorts .So instead of focussing on fabric focus on hospitality and nice food

Not a good idea to bargain for products bought in the open market, unless you are buying several items. Just because it is the Middle East, does not mean that we bargain, even in local spice shops where they sell walnuts or pine nuts and saffron, these are expected to have a high price, and even has grades, as in 1st and 2nd. As a Jordanian I can assure you that here is actually safer than USA for visitors and as overall living ... Pricing in stores and markets are fixed, It's not like the Asian countries where u could get robbed ... etc, this madness cannot happen here at all
wearing shorts in rural areas and villages is not preferable especially if you're one of them, but if you came from big cities (Amman, Al-zzarqa, Irbid) and you're jordanian its not that bad but still not preferable, but if you're a tourist its not bad at all.. but keep in mind, if someone host you in his home its not good to wear a short, especially in rural areas. my coment is one year after the video , but i hope this at least help to understand, how the culture vary from area to area even in a small country like jordan.
Jordan is beautiful country with many kind and friendly people. Of course, there are those who look to take advantage of Americans. Most believe that American equals rich, which is far from the truth.
A jordanian here ✋ If you're a tourist you'd be accepted regardless. Quite the opposite we love seeing foreiners . But make sure to be respectful towards the main religions there (islam and Christianity) and don't try to enforce your beliefs on people just keep it to yourself.👍👍

I would like to warn you not to rent a car from a🚫((green motion )) 🚫🚫 company .it was pad experiance with them in app you will find cheapest price between other rental cars companies .but for any minor scratch they will take huge amount of mony more than rental car price for all priod.Advice, no one rents with them because they are swindlers and fraudsters, and the car is not the same, and there is no fire extinguisher in it. I got a fine from the police because of the fire extinguisher, and the reason is from the rental office, but I was surprised that it was on me.
