Hey bro , I’m Jordanian 🇯🇴 there’s no such thing as making a mistake by wearing shorts in Amman , Many people if not most of them wear shorts in sunny days …. After all, That’s your opinion and still many Jordanians prefer shorts than pants .

Actually it's not true what you're saying. The Jordanian people are conservative and religious. Do not put tourism against customs and religion. Our people are conservative and do not put yourself and talk about the people, if you are not conservative and not religious Take this tourist man to your house and make him sleep in your house . and talk about yourself only. so sad when I hear that from Jordanian person if you're actually .

Roman, I was in Amman around the same time as you (last September) and was the best trip of my life, I have literally walked in the same steps you have taken this video , Hashem, the big bazaar aound downtown. The waiter in Hashem at 8:45 s one of the happiest people I ever met (although hes frowning here lol), he smiled every time we saw him each morning for breakfast. I've a picture with him in the restaurant.

Hachem is one of the oldest places for Hummus, falafel and fava beanl (called fool). I discovered it when I did my undergrad back in the 1980's but it is much older than that. Typical breakfast for Amman. The place you went by in the begining is Habeeba, also one of the oldest knafeh (cheese stuffed dessert) in Amman. A few meters over is Bikdash, originally from Syria set up business in Amman after 2011 and is one the best Arabaic ice cream places in Amman, the original shop in Dmascus old soq (hamidieh) is about 100 years old. Even before when you were walking towards downtown, there is a place called Sallorat al Shahbaa, originally from Syria, this place started some 30 years ago and they serve the best ishta (cream) - based sweets you can find in Amman.

@Romeo J it depends on where u go. Like the northern parts of Amman are much more liberal, u can wear shorts or tank tops
In malls like taj or resorts 🤷🏻

I hope that everyone who visits Jordan will enjoy the tourist places, as they are really beautiful and worth a visit. I would like to warn you not to rent a car from a🚫((green motion )) 🚫🚫 company .it was pad experiance with them in app you will find cheapest price between other rental cars companies .but for any minor scratch they will take huge amount of mony more than rental car price for all priod.Advice, no one rents with them because they are swindlers and fraudsters, and the car is not the same, and there is no fire extinguisher in it. I got a fine from the police because of the fire extinguisher, and the reason is from the rental office, but I was surprised that it was on me.
