I was dreading making my own but REALLY wanted to use an embellishment I made for brick/masonry paths years ago but in order to do that I had to make the brickwork myself since you can't edit other people's custom designs!! I mean I understand WHY we can't, haha, but if we could publish designs as "editable" in the next installment that would be SO AWESOME! ANYWAY THANK YOU TONSSS 💕

OMG I have been struggling to find how to pick colors and make my own paths and omg... Thank you!! I can finally make the path I want! Its so hard to find dark stone paths for a spooky town. Looks like Ill just make my own!
THANK YOU!! If possible, in one of your tutorials could you create just one design in real time. For example, the shadows and highlights in real time, or the lines of a brick. It would be easier to see just the center piece be done in real time to understand how you choose to highlight and do shadows. This was very informative.
Yes I can absolutely do that. I'll put something like that out next week. Maybe not exact real time but way slower. Real time is very tedious in this game and it takes like 30 minutes for the center pc. I'll explain a bit light source, shadow process.
This path came out a very long time ago. Unfortunately it was one of my first videos and I very naively thought someone would want their own colors. In more recent videos the colors are in the descriptions. Otherwise you can take a screenshot and go to acpatterns.com and input the photo. Scale it to select only the custom design portion and it will automatically detect a color pallet for you. I have a video on copying the values in the Custom Design Playlist. Hope that helps.

Really wanna make a diagonal brick path with flagstones that match the colour pallete of resident services. Does anyone know the colour palette? Really nervouse because it would be my first time creating a design

This is so good. I started a 'hard mode' challenge where you have to create your own codes and not use others, and this is such a life saver.
I just did an island like that as well and it was definitely hard. Even if I can make codes, not using TI's was so hard.

First you need to make sure you have the first upgrade to the custom design app. Then press x and use the brush next to the pallet at the top right

I would recommend taking a photo of the plaza and going to acpatterns.com. You can use that to pull up the exact color pallet that the bricks use.
