Clearly you dont know much haha. I mean there are many cars with just straight pipes. Ex top fuel dragsters, prostock cars. Many old school muscle cars dont really need any exhaust and dump just after the headers. Turbo cars are a bit more finicky but the turbo provides the back pressure needed so some higher end race cars that dont have to worry about noise run dumps right in front of the door jams or out the hood. Ex the diesel that had black exhaust coming out of the hood.
