Mr. Richard Gene, I wish you could see this video I filmed of my granddaughter that's 3 years old watching your channel with me and Clenching her fists and going..... Woooooo!!!!!!! She's only 3 years old but she loves it when you start off your videos... Wellll... good morning folks!!!! Funniest thing ever. Leaving a legacy for us all. You're the best
Good you got the day in. We're having below zero temps in the wee hours lately. Connecticut River about an hour and a half from me, and I hope to go out soon. Kayaked down a local river in a warmup after a cold spell some years back. Water level down about a foot and 1.5 inch thick Ice shelves were sticking out of the bank with odd curvy edges. Coolest thing I ever saw. Didn't have camera or rod, just out on a warmer Feb day in the sun. Got in our kayaks and slide down a little hill into the water, great fun!! Beautiful clear sky and bright sunshine, low wind. Was - 3 this morning in Pittsfield MA real close to the NY border in Western MA. 27 lakes in Berkshire County, beautiful place. Nice white bass, biggest I ever saw. Nice white meat too for eating. Via con Dios
I have to realy subscribe to your channel because honestly you are the best when it comes on to solid advice and I have watched some of the other who think they are all of it look honestly I would like for you to go for it because I haven't come across nothing on UA-cam like you much love men you are a genius thanks for all your work
I was watching an old video of yours just now, and someone asked when you would be doing a video on hybrids. Smith Lake in Cullman/Winston/Walker Counties have some amazing Stripers in it. Especially on the dam side towards Jasper. There's a lot of Blueback Herring on that side. I always use Mike Perry with Stripemaster Guide Service. My best with him is 30lbs. Even if you don't charter with him, he sells bait and shares information openly. He is a good feller to contact and know. If you want to show a video on big hybrids near home I would suggest starting there. Thank you for all you do for us.
Our water here in southeast Kansas was 37 to 38° last weekend and I caught my spot at Bass were out on the bottom around schools of shad in 20 ft they weren't relating to anything but schools of shad I would love to come to the Tennessee River and fish for those spotted bass down there you're all spotted bass get bigger than ours do they are my favorite species of bass to fish for I absolutely live for it. God bless Richard
Thanks for sharing. Where I fish in the NC piedmont area lakes, I seldom see any current. I know there is some because these are mostly power generation lakes. I do want to say you area funny guy! 😆
Double uni is a good knot but I prefer the Alberto knot for small diameter braid to mono or fluorocarbon leaders. Its just as quick/easy to tie once you learn it and the strengths are similar. Its probably about 75/80% knot but the Alberto is skinnier so it goes through the guides a little better IMO which especially helpful if your using slightly longer leaders where your reeling/casting the knot through the tip. With the Alberto knot you basically create what equates to a chinese finger trap with the braid that bites into a doubled over section of the leader line whether it be mono or fluorocarbon.
Richard, walls needs to give you a little kick back on that coat sale you made. I had to put my bifocals on to see the name on the coat. It looked warm and comfortable. It was a cold January, here in moncks corner sc too. And about the same this month so far. Good luck.
