Thanks for the timestamps and all. They were great. I was standing near the guy filming so my vantage point to the stage was the same. I spent most of Overkill's set chatting it up with Warrell backstage (I went with a friend of mine who had connections to the Mercyful Fate people so i was reluctantly allowed back there). MF came on at like 1:30am and by that point I just wanted to go home. Fun night, tho.
one of the greatest albums ever created, even though its about dark sides of life.Only Warrel can describe death, depression, solitude, etc... and say it so poetic-ly beautiful. Using words like beautiful to describe Death might sound insane but its the perfect word in this situation. His lyrics are like a puzzle that have so much meaning. RIP Our Heroes!
So much tragedy in this band! Nevermore was such an amazing band and Dreaming Neon Black is still one of my best album of all time. I saw them at the the Foufounes Électriques in 2001 after DHIADW was released, it was one of the craziest show I've ever seen with so much metalheads going on stage to sing, headbang and jump in the crowd. Those where the days !
This is so wonderful to see and so heartbreaking at the same time. What a special band and I’m so sad we’ll never experience it again. Thank you for posting this and may we remember and celebrate the great music they made. RIP Warrel and Tim. You are gone but your music lives on.
man what a band...and all those vhs perfomances are THE sh!t man!! so raw, heavy and to your face! thank you so much for uploading this man.i was just about 14 when Nevermore released Dead Heart back in 2000..one of my very first albums.to this day, even with some thousands albums more (for real, my cd collection is out of this world) Nevermore stands still as one of the best metal bands ever.
i hope he got fired AHHAHAAH. it seems like they cut warrel's mic. i would have "shhhh" the audience and told everyone to scream at the securities "FUCK YOU" it would have probably started a riot, maybe not. But just so they can get the point that its brotherhood. fuck them!
I can tell you Warrell was FURIOUS about that in the back when I talked to him. It was Mercyful Fate's camp that was very anti-anyone jumping onstage and stuff. Some guy made an announcement right before Fate started that should anyone jump onstage or anything, the show would end.
I believe God incorporated Warrel and gave him the path of understanding the 8th tongue hahahaha It's a crime to forbid someone to have a good time. It wasn't hostile to anybody.
They were the best band that night. Overkill was added last minute to the show and they seemed peeved about not headlining and they were better months earlier at FouFounes Électriques. Fate came onstage way too late after soundchecking forever, as good as they were, the energy was gone.
Audio quality not to shabby at all . Well done. Every show I saw with Nevermore the house sound guy should've been shot . Edit... Warrel RED PILLING the masses with PGM .
Van Williams is probably one of the singular most underrated and underappreciated drummer's of all time
For real. The guy has so much groove and panache
100% agreed! He's great! Have you checked his band, Ghost Ship Octavius? It's amazing!
Came for the Van Williams appreciation and left with a new band.
My biggest life regret will always be never getting to see Warrel and the guys do their thing. Long live Nevermore
Same here. For all the bands I saw live I can't believe I missed Nevermore. At least these uploaded live sets help take the sting out
The way Warrel sings the female voice in DNB is just beautiful😰
Rest In Power to both Wolly and Tim! Immortals in our metal hearts!
should be a crime how underrated NEVERMORE are
I'm heartbroken that I'll never get to see them play together again ☹️
Tim"s dark and melodic style was amazying! RIP

S.O.D. at Foufounes literally a month after the Nevermore/Overkill/MFate show was the craziest i've been to. Complete mayhem -- awesome!
Warrel was an awesome singer and frontman. Backed up by some of the best talent in metal. \m/
This is great! Nevermore and Mercyful Fate? One hell of a show right there!
I seen Nevermore with Flotsam in 97 at Harpo's in Detroit...Pat O Brian had just left and Tim Calvert tore it up ..RIP Tim and Warrel

Wow they are so tight and being so complex that's very hard coming from a fellow musician
Wow, sound incredble for a non direct recording. Thanks for uploading! RIP Warrel and Tim

I could have watched this band every night of my life! Thanks for sharing!
Gotta love Warrel for sticking up for guy who was having a good time! 🤘😆🤘

Man, what a performance! Poison Godmachine kicks serious ass!!!! Amazing song!
Fucking incredible live show.. Drumming is so goddamn solid throughout. ❤

@@skulhedman, i'd hate to have to go on that stage after this nevermore show lol
So crazy to see Warrel doing the female part of dreaming neón Black :)
Thanks so much for sharing this video.

Awesome, never seen this before, thank you 🙏
THANK you so much! Stellar performance!
Thanks M8
there's just an abundance of mastery at every note and corner of this stage. it's not just a saying....they just don't make bands like this anymore
Yes !
🤘😈
WARREL IS GOD!
did you record this? if so, respect to you for actually filming the solo playing in close up.
I guess Warrel saying “make these guys earn their paychecks” struck a nerve with one of the security guys…
was this when Mercyful fate's sound check was 1hr? I was there!
It went on forever, right?
make these mothers earn their paychecks!!! GD right!!!!
Thanks for uploading! Your name isn’t Pat by any chance is it?
Yep, it is I. I remember you. "I got a record changer, it's my sister, like here, change it". Somethin' like that.
@@skulhed hahaha i forgot all about that. hope you're doing well man, it's been a while!
damn cant load pics ..i was there in the little bars while they did there thing..sad i wanted to show all you pics but nevermind
