    Your the only one on UA-cam doing any of these types of tutorials for TONEX. Tonejunkie most likely will do some but not to this extent. You should be being compensated by Ik M/tonex/amplitube. Great Job by the way. We are now seeing a couple very negative reviews of the PEDAL mainly due to the learning curve of Software and or their having to work so hard to get Good Captures.

    Not a fan of compression really but if I do that’s exactly how I use compression, parallel compression also
    Very subtle after the amps sim so you don’t lose any dynamics and reaction pushing the front end just to make the quiet parts louder also when you roll the guitar volume back to clean up you don’t lose too much volume

    Thanks so much for this. I’ve been struggling with harsh pick attack in direct to DAW guitar recording so will try setting the compressor’s attack time as quick as possible. Had even been moving to hybrid picking to tame it

    I wish there was a way to see compression amount in the pedal or to confirm input trim is really the same. Trying to set it right in the software but then having to trim the pedal input it's hard to know when you really have it the same. Of course doing by ear you can tell when you're coming in way hotter and it's over compressing, but an input meter like the boss GT units have on inputs to save for each guitar would make it perfect. Or a compression indicator.

    In my analog rig, I use a Keeley comp as a boost to push my amps. I LOVE the tones it produces. If you put an OD like a tube screamer before it, it just sings.

    Is there a way to set the compressor pre or post on the pedal itself?

    8:54 Is there a way to adjust the threshold directly on the pedal? I found patch, attack and gain, but not threshold.

      Sure is Rob, press and hold your Parameter encoder until Alt appears on the screen in green. Then your 'Bass' encoder will no control it's Alt parameter which should be Compressor Threshold. Let me know if that helps :-)

      for me it is wise versa - I cannot find how to adjust attack and gain on the pedal. Could you help me and explain how to do it?

      You can select them with the parameter knob. Press to access the advanced parameters menu.

    Jason, considering there is a real overdrive pedal before the Tonex in the signal chain:
    Is it possible to put the compressor before this overdrive pedal?
    Going in the same flow, is it possible to put all the Tonex processing before the signal chain?

    Did we ever find out why the got rid of the overdrive pedal in that compressor spot? I guess we can use the compressor to boost an overdrive channel on an amp

    Why do presets sound different through my cab using Tonex as an audio interface as opposed to using same preset on the pedal? It sounds far away through my cab. Cabsim is off. Do i need a reamp box before my power amp? What am I missing?

    • @JasonSadites
      @JasonSadites  Рік тому +1

      Can I ask what cab you are using ?

      @@JasonSadites Harley Benton with v30s. Woops I did have the cabsim on in the app. Now I turned off the cabsim. The app through the real cab sounds a little brighter than the pedal in live mode. But its a lot closer now. Any idea about the discrepancy? If I turn down the highs and boost the lows on the app it sounds exactly the same. Thanks so much.
