Gabe, thanks for sharing the travel memories! Living in the burbs (no regretes) I have to admit downtown Toronto rivals any well known & respectable metropolis on the planet. What I don't envy is that it seems super expensive to visit attractions & sit down for a meal. Apparently you visited tourist hot spots, hope you have time to visit less well known but relaxing areas in the "six".

Nice tour of my hometown. The downtown core can admittedly look a little utilitarian, but, like any city, there are numerous interesting neighborhoods. The Beaches, King and Queen streets, Yorkville, Kensington Market, The Annex... Just info, for anyone planning on visiting Toronto and wanting to explore some other areas with a little more vibrancy.

This city centre looks more alive than the other concrete jungles. Still such a difference with European city centres. Canadian and American cities are designed totally wrong in the past i feel.

And I definitely agree with the poster above - Toronto is quite lively both downtown and along the main thoroughfare of many satellite neighbourhoods (e.g., midtown, the Danforth, Riverdale, Parkdale, Roncesvalle, etc).
