I’ve noticed that if Sim 4 is the only sims game you’ve played, it’s amazing, but if you’ve been playing since sims 2 or 3, it’s disappointing and missing so much.
If this is the way Sims 4 was from the start, it’s no surprised that builders are the most prevalent player type now. It’s the only thing that was really finished at the beginning
I'm going back to TS2 right now (because it's just the better game) and yeah, getting used to the building after TS4's very easy building is a bit of an adjustment. It's much more work to build cool detailed stuff, but mostly the end product looks pretty good.
"You have to be a sadistic hydrophobe to build a hot desert town to play in and not include a single way to go swimming and cool off." -LGR 2014, calling EA Sadistic Hydrophobes
They don't even have DISHWASHERS for crying out loud! The trash is never full and beds are never unmade. Burglars don't exist, and if you have a fire you better be able to put it out yourself. They can't even be bothered to put little things like that in.
@Artoria Pendragon We're not blinded by nostalgia. People that have been playing this franchise for years know how good we had it before and know that there's better than the lackluster bullshit that is TS4. I myself have been playing since TS1 and know how great the previous games are as I often return to them as an adult, and they still make me play for hours on end, which is a magnificent feat considering nothing entertains me as an adult with adhd. Also, I never really appreciated TS2 and was instead a major fan of 1 and 3 (i can admit nostalgia playing a factor in my love or TS3). Although TS2 was never my favourite, I can still pour hours into that game and have fun. TS4 is a stale shell of a game stripped bare by a money hungry corporation that wants nothing more than as much profit as possible for minimum effort.
Artoria Pendragon You said it yourself, you haven't played any other sims game. How could literally ANY of yours points be valid if you've only played 1 out of a 4 game series? Just sounds like another bully to me
It's EA. They took out the create-a-style tools because that would cut into DLC revenue. Why would they allow you to make your own clothing when you can buy them? Honestly, I'm surprised they gave you more than two hairstyles. It's EA.
hey is there any tool/mod i can get to get that back? one of my favourite parts of the sims 3 was being able to make any clothing/furniture item any color or pattern that i want.
Sky Dome it's a pain though. It takes a long time to recolor something in a good amount of colors, and it's hard when you don't have the psd. Not to mention how many gigabytes recolors suck up..
It's disappointing that the open worlds were removed from The Sims 4 but in terms of technical issues The Sims 4 is a lot cleaner and has fewer bugs than The Sims 3. When playing The Sims 3 on a single save for a long time, I discovered that the game became a lot slower and buggier and it took a lot longer to load. For example, my Bridgeport save takes about 10 minutes to load - I timed it. Yeah, it's ridiculous. With some of the NRaas mods installed such as Overwatch, I also found that issues like missing/stuck sims, missing toddlers and sims stuck in loops, among numerous others, were quite commonplace. These issues would cause slow performance, bugs and sometimes even game crashes and while they could be fixed, it was only temporary as they'd always come back. With the way the game was optimized and how the game engine works, EA would have had to rework the entire game and its engine, which would have taken a very long time and a lot of effort. It was more worth their time to release an entirely new game, where they could learn from some of the mistakes made in The Sims 3. I assume the main reason for The Sims 4's lack of open-worlds like The Sims 3 is to help improve the game's performance, as The Sims 3 would load the ENTIRE world all at once (hence the long loading times and slow performance). If you compared the game performance between The Sims 3 and The Sims 4, The Sims 4 is way faster than The Sims 3 in absolutely every regard.
The only mistake they did is making a closed lot. If you could load up an entire section of a neighborhood without separating each lot with a loading screen , It will probably compensate for the lack of open world.
thats what they put on sims 3 with console, it still lagged a bit but if they can put it on a 256mb ram console then surely we can have open neighbourhoods in sims 4
Tbh, a total open world wouldn't be so nice - it wouldn't be friendly for people with lower-end computers, and would most probably by buggy/laggy. Open neighborhoods would be so much nicer, since it keeps off most of the loading screens, and would most likely be more friendly to most computers. Somewhat of a compromise that would work nicely.
@@phisograph Sims 3 after installing the patches runs smoothly on my 15gb laptop from 2007 and the only issues I ever had was when I didn't install the patches before or after installing a new expansion pack , so I think modern Laptops and PCs should be able to handle a openworld sims game.
Romesa Khan They were plenty of seconds he wasted going on and on and on about how the Sims in the title screen was "weird! And how their stories were weirder! And how they are more weird!"
Got it for free, played it for literally two days and got bored to hell. This is so sad specially considering for how much time I played The Sims 2 and 3. And yes, I'm comparing the games without any expansions. This is just sad, really.
They reduced the base game price to $40. Expansion packs however, are still $40, Game packs are $20, and Stuff packs are $10. But you can find them for less whenever they go on sale, which has been often lately. Also, if you get Origin Access, you can get the Sims 4 as part of the deal at no added cost. Same with Sims 3 starter pack.
What the Sims 4 should really cost: Base game: 5$ Expansions: 3$ Game packs: free Game stuff: free P.S. I know, expansions probably would cost too much, almost as price of base game, but they were trying...
After a couple of months of The Sims 4 I finally went back to the Sims 3. And holy crap, I designed the crap out of my sim and gave them the perfect jumper, graduated from University where I created a hive mind, became a doctor with raises every other day, donated a heart because of an opportunity, adopted a puppy and kitten, fought off burgulars, started to dominate the town in ranked chess tournaments and upgraded everything, EVEN MY FRONT DOOR. All of these things, you can't do in The Sims 4. Half of these things I didn't know existed and I've had the sims 3 for four years.
When it's been 2 years and they have only released 3 expansion packs. Honestly i'd rather have them forget about stuff and game packs completely and focus on expansion packs. Imo I don't like stuff packs because they don't add any gameplay, and game packs just seem like a smaller version of an expansion pack. No thanks.
When it's been 2 years and they FINALLY release toddlers but I don't really care for the game anymore... I'll stick to the Sims 2 and 3 for actual content thanks.
I was able to get it during the holiday sale so I luckily only paid $5 for the base game and the expansions were discounted enough for me to get seasons, parenthood, and get to work at once for less than $70. I feel so bad for anyone who paid $60 _just_ for base game because it’s absolutely not worth more than 5 bucks on its own
They left out burglars, dishwashers, newspapers, repair men, toddlers, swimming pools and more. EA's official statement is that it conflicts with the engine. But how can this engine enable all the different moods and body shapes, but have an issue with toddlers? All toddlers are, are shorter versions of regular sims that squeel and poop their pants. I am no game developer, but I don't see the issue. If you ask me, this was an excuse from EA. A very poor excuse at that. The real reason is probably so they can sell you a fucking expansion pack for $20,- so you can now have a fucking dishwasher.
I agree, they got rid all the basic things that should have been in the base game. I think ill just sit back and see if they make any improvements or free updates like in sims 3
Honestly, I feel like the good things they ADDED to sims 4, couldve just been added to sims 3. Like just do a big update and add the graphics, the multitasking and the better build mode and you would have a huge hit!
Not possible. It would require almost a full rework of the game and anyway the sims 3 runs like crap right now so after the "big update" you would need atlest 3000$ pc to run it...
Not to mention that the way the game has been built probably won't let them touch anything that deep. The graphics wouldn't make sense, the build mode could maybe be added? But the multitasking probably wouldn't. Just because that's not how games work :P
After 6 years I’m still not a fan of how the towns/neighbourhoods work in the game. Things just feel really disconnected when you see people who don’t even live in your town show up. Yes it allows you too see a wider variety of sims however going back and playing The Sims 3 picking where you’re gonna live in that game feels like more of an important decision compared too The Sims 4.
I bought sims 4 for my 12 year old sister? Did I make a mistake? Shall I refund it? My family doesn't have a lot of money so don't want to buy a bad game for her
@@hauntingthepast7831 honestly for a 12 year old she should be fine. The Sims 4 is a game that you have to pay a lot of money to get “the full experience” due to there being tons of dlc and expansion packs and not that much to do without them. If you’re looking for more bang for your buck base game wise (without buying anything extra) and you have a computer then I personally think The Sims 3 would be your better bet just due to how much content there is in the base game alone. It can be relatively cheap now a days, I think right now it’s $20 on Steam. It’s really down to personal preference, The Sims 4 isn’t a horrible game just compared to some of the older games in the series it lacks certain features or does things worse then they were done in the previous games.
@@hauntingthepast7831 don't worry. If she's young and new to the franchise, she's going to love the game. My fiancée's first sims game was sims 4 and she absolutely loves it. The only reason I hate it is because Sims 3 is better.
I paid $79.99 to get the deluxe version early, played the game for about a day, and then started crying bc I hate it so much. I recently tried to play it again, but all I can do in the game without criticizing it is build. Sims 3 is 1000x better
I recently started playing the sims 3 and I started crying because I could go to the store to buy tomatoes without a loading screen. The open world is amazing. I’m happy to have the textures take a min to load in if the game is more fun.
Also, there is no more story progression in addition to no open world. I know these are two features that likely contributed to the performance and playability issues in TS3, but part of the fun for me was wandering around my neighborhood and seeing what other sims were doing. It made for very immersive gameplay in my opinion. HOWEVER, even though you could explore your whole neighborhood freely, community lots were always DEAD. In the end, I much prefer TS3, but TS4 really came through with more densely populated community lots, as well as the incredible building tools and improved Create-A-Sim. Basically, I find that the few things I love better about TS4 are the same things that annoyed me about TS3.
+Lazy Game Reviews Oh wow thanks so much for letting me know!! I was wondering if someone was going to design a story progression mod for TS4! :-) Awesome!
+Richette Burand Thats funny alot of people say that the community lots are always dead, for me ive noticed any time my sim goes to a lot within a couple minutes the neighbor sims will come to that lot, it may have something to do with what your sim is doing (for example once my sim who was good at the guitar skill was playing and i had a HUGE flock of sims come to the area) also there is a trait from one of the expansion packs, Irresistible that says in the description that your sim wont have trouble getting dates, and other sims will want to be around your sim and socialize with you, which may help if your experiencing dead community lots.
+Rachel Kuchmy Yeah!! It was sometimey for me, I remember playing a couple years ago and always having that problem where I would go to a nightclub and literally no one would show up. But recently I've been playing TS3 again and I notice exactly what you said, Sims will flock to whatever location my Sim is visiting just like in 4. Weird but I'm happy about it, haha! I've seen a ton of other people complaining about dead community lots in 3 so I just figured it happened to everyone.
I have both the Sims 3 and Sims 4 and I MUCH prefer Sims 3. As far as each base game goes, there is SOOO much more to do in the Sims 3. And not having an open world in Sims 4 was absolutely ridiculous. In my opinion it was a total flop.
+fandan 20 First of all, your grammar is shit. Second of all, your spelling is shit. Let me correct you: *Yeah, *you, *you. I'm not going to correct your grammar, only because it's hard to process your sentence.
Sims 4 feels like it was intended as an online mobile game that they rushed last minute to make single player. Even in 2018 the game still lacks content and the personality. Funny how they tried to focus on personality of Sims, yet Sims feel more boring and similar than ever. So few traits that are barely expanded upon. All my Sims end up feeling more or less the same at their core.
LeeTheLoser yeah, i just hope they move on to The Sims 5 soon. I feel like TS4 is "broken" from the core and no matter how many things they add to it, the gameplay is always gonna feel off because the fundamentals aren't there
LeeTheLoser did u know the backstory of the sims 4 is that it was supposed to be an online sims game called “Sims Olympus” but since the failure of simcity 2013 they planned to scratch everything and restart so I wonder how serpirior the sims 4 would’ve been if they didn’t remove all that hard work and put it all on the release
Now that the game has faced a redesign and many, many patches, I would like to see you review it as a "then vs now" for the sims. The majority of it doesn't look like this anymore (pools, toddlers, matching wood swatches, the redesign, etc)
Me too! Since I never got it at release, and hear about how they added things too it since the release (and loading times on mine are pretty fast so i assume that's improved.), so I'm prettty curious! xD
There's a lot more content now but it's still pretty boring, tbh. The fundamental base of the game is just lacking because the Sims have no personality. So much so that multiple popular personality mods exist just to try to make them sims' characters less boring and samey. But it's still inadequate. Traits don't matter and every sim is exactly the same now.
This is all why I've reinstalled the sims 3 and have been happily playing that for months and months. They don't have the complex personality and the clothes are dated very early 2000s lol but I've had so much more fun than with the sims 4 which was hardly MORE fun with each new expansion pack.
This is by far the best unbiased game review of The Sims 4 yet. I love how you pointed out the flaws of the game without discouraging fans to buy the game. Thumbs up!
You are my all time fav game reviewer ^_^ Thanks for the awesome review! Might get it myself just to give it a try, all bad points aside, still looks pretty fun! :D
I love a lot about Sims 4, my complaints -No Free World -Why can't we choose more of our Sims personality traits -Not enough customization -Building can be a bit difficult - There's not enough fun things to do in the world
I decided to come back to watch these videos (in part because I wanted to give you some additional support with everything going on, but also because I finally made the decision to switch back to Sims 3 after hearing that they plan to continue Sims 4 even though it's still in a terrible state.) Watching you initial optimism before the release of the game, to your very first review of the Sims 4 before any of the expansions even came out... and knowing how your opinion of the game would continue to fall apart and shred as more and more lifeless expansions and stuff packs and kits and... all of it. It's amazing to me how even at the initial launch we recognized how utterly lifeless the actual GAMEPLAY was. The building and CAS is by far the best part of Sims 4, but it's so clear even from the beginning that actual core gameplay was always an afterthought. The fact that you even acknowledged at the end of this video that Sims 3 was still your preferred game... something tells me, after all these years, that is still very much your thought process. It's really a shame how EA is so hung up on wanting to continue milking the Sims 4 when so many people in the community recognize how shallow it still is even with thousands of dollars worth of DLC.
Going back in here. The Sims 4 is now free on Origin for a limited time. LGR said that it's much better to get this game at a discount and now it's free.
Followed your advice and waited til the price drop. It's now on sale for 5$, and you were right. It's a fantastic 5$ game, but a pretty mediocre 60$ game.
I just started playing ts3, after skipping straight from ts1 and ts2 to ts4. There's only two things I miss from ts4: multitasking and build mode. everything else is completely useless to me. Ts3 is superior in so many ways, and it's so great how cheap it is nowadays. I'm finally enjoying PLAYING the sims again, not just building or whatever. I feel sorta dumb for having not played it before, since it's so much more similar to ts2 - which i adore to this day - but, better late than never!
Omg we're on the exact same wave length! TS2 was my go to but my old pc bit the dust. So I tried Sims 4 on PS4 (laggy as all get out) and then on PC (still lagging with 0 expansions 🙃). Started playing Sims 3 and holy moly it's so good!!! I have two expansions and I feel like I have infinite game play!!! Still miss my Sims 2, but this is amazing!!
The only sims games I really genuinely enjoy playing are the Sims 2 and the occasional Sims 3 when the lag isn't too bad. Sims 2 has still got to be my favorite, and its been over a decade since it was released. I was excited for the Sims 4, then I got the game and Get to Work, and was EXTREMELY disappointed, most of disappointment was towards the base game, and not Get to Work. Sims 4 has no customization, no toddlers, and honestly, I feel as if there is no family aspect in the game any longer, atleast until EA comes out with a 'family' expansion soon. I'm sticking with the Sims 2 and 3. P.S Sorry about my rant, I'm just really passionate when it comes to games I love. ^-^
i know it is so stupid. my bed can be the size of the city but i can't have a car? i can have amazing graphics just to be wasted on bad houses? i can't have a pool but i can have a fountain the size of one? when my cousin got the game he actually took it back to the store and told them that he might have been sold a bootleg game. but the manager said that was the real game and my cousin didn't believe him
I was so disappointed with Sims 4. It's just not a very good game. I only play the Sims 3. For a thousand different reasons. One of them being that it's just a lot more interesting to play. The Sims 4 is boring, in my opinion.
+Fishnetfreud As a hardcore fan of the sims I feel so bored from it it's like playing monopoly without the money, the get out of jail free card, the chance cards, the house and hotel pieces, the dice, the board, the receipt from wal-mart....yeah I'm stripped to simply the cardboard box....damn!
Fishnetfreud there is way more to do in Sims 2 and it's free with all of its expansions on origin if you contact EA and ask for it. That's how I got it and im so glad I did
The Sims Cult yep i got mine like about a yr or so ago cuz i had an issue that needed to be resolved and they said since you like sims do you want all of the sims 2 like the ultimate pack and i was like....sure? And they just added to my acc. Ive been playing that a lot recently,
+Wednesday Addams I agree. I still play the Sims 3 and it's fantastic. Expansion are (mostly) great and are pretty cheap right now, and the game is still amazing. The Sims 4 is cool and all, and while I like the new art style, and the create a sim, I just can't get past the loss of open world, tiny towns, loading screens and lack of basic content, even with the expansions.
Nice Review. I just bought the delux addition for $18, and that is probably the highest price I would pay for this game lol. Honestly I miss alot of aspects form The Sims 2. Visiting restaraunts and going on dates were great in The Sims 2. I also dont like how the world screen is in the The Sims 4. If they make a Sims 5, I sure hope they improve on many things, or The Sims 4 may be my last.
What this game could have been... I can only imagine. It's like a chore playing it, now, which is why I only have the free base game. Even with all the expansions and [needless] game packs and stuff packs, it still isn't as appealing as the old versions. I still play sims 2 pretty faithfully. Someone else had it down right; sims 2 gameplay, sims 3 open world and customization, with sims 4 graphics, and it would be perfect. If they ever make a sims 5, let's hope it's better than 4, at the very least.
It's clear that The Sims 4 has been created for the mobile gamer, a truly casual gamer. It's quick and easy creation options for both houses and sims mean a player can quickly delve into the playing the game. Most simmers build, create, style and experiment with all aspects of the game equally and taking away the freedom of those elements is simply not cool. There are rewards and achievements to gain objects that would usually be instantly available. Someone who plays sims isn't really playing a game in the sense of turning on a play station or Xbox and playing GTA or Skyrim. We want instant gratification of being able to create a power hungry rich maniac with a £5000 television and a swimming pool in every room. The sense of achievement in a sims game isn't having an icon pop up in the top right hand corner of the screen after spending 60 hours trying to collect every bobble head or getting 100 perfect head shots; it's spending 5 hours building a luxury apartment and having your sim burn it down whilst making pancakes. That is what the developers missed with the Sims 4. As someone who has loved the franchise from day 1, I was always excited waiting for expansion packs to EXPAND on the base game and bring new experiences and life to my sims, their homes and looks was the greatest part of the experience, but certainly not waiting for expansion packs to put obvious and logical features that are no longer available back into a game. I found that the Sims developers were brilliant at listening to what their audience wanted (even if it took some persistence on our part) and adding things like basements, cars, pool slides and swimming in any god damn body of water your sims wished to, really made a player feel as if they had invested in entertainment that was worth waiting and paying for. As a life simulator, surely having more age stages, maintenance NCPs, cars etc. should be a given, especially when all of this missing content featured in one or another base game or patch in the past. A new generation of a franchise needs to improve and bring more to game for its fans and not cater for an audience playing on a low end laptop who may play the game for one or two hours a fortnight. Individually I can deal with certain aspects being taken away to maybe return in the future, but if you add up the missing features that were in previous games, it's an empty shell. I feel that the sims 4 would have been perfect as a new side project under the sims name, maybe the sims 2.5, maybe the sims 2 reboot or even the sims 1 reboot, and go with it from there. (There is an element of the game captivating a new audience, people who want to try sims for the first time, but that is no way to go about creating a game that's already highly acclaimed and best selling with a huge fan base. I would accept some features missing on different versions of the game if they brought out a more simplistic and stripped down versions but offered free (or cheaper) DLCs or a higher-spec game including the missing features for old friends of the game franchise who learnt the hard way that the sims and it's expansion backs with f**k your computer to the moon and back and not stick around for breakfast, who bought higher end computers for a better gaming experience. OR just offer a wider range of options in-game that could then change the system demands dramatically for those who require a lower res and less powerful game.) The sims 4 is rushed, with little to no true market research into who really plays their game and what they want from the next generation of sims. The damage is too much to redeem with a few patches and expansion packs. Unfortunately, until proven otherwise, I feel most players will revert back to The Sims 3 and The Sims 4 is a distant memory long forgotten unless EA and maxis pull something mystical and ground breaking out of their gold-plated top hats. We shall see...
I just.... I almost didn't read this because it was so long... but damn this hits home. Especially the line about burning ones luxury apartment down while attempting to make pancakes. You said pretty much everything I've been thinking, having also been a hardcore Sims fan since the first game. Every time I have a glimmer of hope for the title, I learn of more missing features. Like I said upon first learning about the toddler/pool thing: this is a life simulation game, I have lived much of my life without a pool, but I don't recall anyone ever having lived without being a toddler. Sad indeed. My love for the series keeps me hopeful that something will happen to redeem it.... my knowledge of EA's history, however, makes me less hopeful. :( For now I'll voice my disappointment with my wallet - their golden top hats be damned.
Britneybuu Jenni Harrison I agree with you both so much. I started playing Sims 9 years ago and, like plenty of other people, I've put a lot of time and money into the game. When I saw all the things they excluded from the Sims 4 I felt totally insulted; they completely ignored all the previous requests of the people who play this game regularly. You couldn't have said it better.
but by releasing such a contentlacking game makes them able to release 28 "new expansions" where u can swim and do all the other items they "weirdly" has removed
I don't understand how they managed to ruin a game as fun as the sims 1 was. I don't care about graphics all that much, just make the game play smooth and fun. If they went back to the sims 1 style of graphics but included a lot more customization for housing/furniture, and removed loading screens all over the place, while putting in the ability to do multiple things at the same time, it would be the perfect sim game in my eyes. Considering the graphical strain would be a lot less harsh on computers I think they'd be able to pull off a lot more with it. EA is more about being flashy though, it's too bad they're straying away from quality.
totally have to agree with you in terms of gameplay. sims 3 started taking longer and longer to load and save after playing for a few weeks and i had a laptop that really exceeded the PC requirements. and then i couldnt even play from lagging when i downloaded an expansion pack (sims seasons). Id rather have a smooth running gameplay rather than flawless graphics :)
i have a crappy laptop i was amazed when i could run sims 3 and few expansions but when late night came out and i decided to stay in bridge port oh god .... i would crash 5 mins into the game the routing issues in some worlds were out of this planet which is why i had to use several mods to be able to play sims 3 and enjoy it. I'm glad i did these mods added more functions to it if you intrested look on google for nraas mods :) they not harmful at all and the moders who coded them are on the forums helping people if they shall run into issues with the mods :)
I got it several months back when they were offering it for free for about a week! But $60 for a game when it's pretty newly released is pretty standard pricing. (which is why someone like me rarely buys games until they've been out for at least a year. Sims is one of those games I can be more patient with. ) (though technically anyone could get it for free if they go through torrents I suppose. )
@@gigisneckofthewoods How soon after you bought it did the price go down? Some stores offer refunds on the difference in price if it's inquired about within 7-14 days.
Yes I agree that the price is honestly not worth it, which is why even within 2 years I haven't bought it and don't plan to since I love open worlds, pools, seasons, toddlers, creating my own desired colors & patterns, plus pets are my favourite thing about the sims. I'm actually very disappointed that the main good things are left out and I'm sure a lot of people could agree.
Seasons and pets came from expansion packs in every single sims game. Pools are in the game. Open worlds and Create a Style were removed because it made the game really buggy and poorly optimized, so they are never going into Sims 4. Toddlers likely aren't either because developers claimed how they were annoying to work with before..
It’s absolutely hilarious watching this in 2020 and seeing what has changed. I think it’s worth less now than it was as just the base game. At least we had hope now I don’t even want to touch the game.
@@inactivechannel6365 Well that's my only point, so just forget about the Sims then and move on. But if you do want to play it, pay for it. Just don't steal content from people
holy crap, Clint looks so much younger in this video that it's a real testament to how long the dead sims 4 horse has been beaten in to a few random molecules in a dent in the floor
I've played the Sims 3 for five years and only just discovered loads of new stuff. Rocks, gems, flowers, wine making, car relationships, loads of rewards and perks of careers. WHY DOESN'T THE SIMS 4 HAVE ANY OF THIS STUFF?
Jackomac43 Rocks, gems, flowers are in The Sims 4. Wine making, car relationships, and the extra rewards and perks were added in patches and expansions :) But yeah, TS4 still has a long way to go to reach TS3's level of end-of-life content.
Oh... I think I gave up on the Sims 4 before some of the stuff was added, and I didn't really play it more than about 10 hours. I'm not sure I'd buy some of the expansions though... Thanks for telling me!
***** To be honest I don't think it can ever get to the point that the Sims 1, 2 and 3 were at when they finished. First impressions stay with us all the way to end, and as you can see up there, the extra features and content are very hidden away (i didn't see them)
I know this comment is a YEAR OLD and I'm sorry for bothering you, but if anyone else is considering this, I'd recommend it. The Sims 3 aged surprisingly well. The Sims 4 has gotten a lot better, though! We have swimming pools and toddlers, and also some pretty decent expansions. I still wouldn't pay full price for anything, though. The base game goes on sale for ridiculously low prices, and the expansions for half off.
@@olemonqueeno8684 yeah thats where i got my sims 3 crack, im sure as shit not spending 340 pounds on an abandoned game from 2009 but wanted the expansions. tbf i do physically own TS3, late night, and pets and have TS3 and pets for xbox 360 as well so thats already 5 games they arent getting any more money off me
The future is what intrigues me most about it, since there's a base there that could really have some cool stuff added to it. Lukewarm launch aside, I'm still having fun with the game.
I love Sims 3 but I have to disagree. The game system is too outdated. But I want them to polish The Sims 3 gameplay instead of building it on top of the Sims 2 gameplay.
This just looks really bad, can't EA see that? 1) They're still doing micro-transactions. How many hundreds of dollars of games did they put on the market in Sims 3 expansions, worlds, and stuff packs? This is like highway robbery. 2) They're releasing incredibly over-priced games that almost everyone says is not worth the pitiful content provided. 3) They make terrible gameplay decisions like putting in massive numbers of loading screens. 4) They release garbage, corporate sponsored games (Katy Perry? Diesel?). 5) Their hundreds of dollars in stuff/world packs aren't even as good as mods, which they SUPPORT and are FREE. Seriously, there has got to be some just idiotic management there. It's eroding people's trust in the brand. If they can't afford to charge less for new content, they need to change their business model, because I have a hard time believing this is working very well.
I agree 110%... Well said. I think this game was a huge downgrade from Sims 3. Almost like they went so far back to 1 and 2. Seriously, what were they thinking?? Now this game has some amazing features... No doubt. But even some add ons in this game are completely appalling and not very well thought out...
There's no problem with micro transactions if there are no gameplay barriers related to those micro transactions. Heck there's even no problem with them releasing how many stuff packs as they want. You are, you know, free to NOT buy it if you think it's too expensive, it's all *optional* content. But comparing stuff packs and what not to mods is insane; modders do that stuff in their spare time, possibly while working or getting an education to work during most of their day, while the people working on the stuff pack's livelyhood depends on these packs.
Blame the piracy. They raising the price to compensate the loss just like how electric company charge law-abiding citizens for illegal electric connection.
i started with the sims 4 and loved playing it for awhile, but after hearing all of the good things about sims 3 i bought it and now play it more than sims 4
***** You see i like these comments. you get your point across rather than screaming about no todders, lack of content or its 'ugly' graphics. because those comments really put people off. I had a friend who completely hated the sims 4, shes pretty much like most of the people, she hated all the downgrade but when she saw me play it she realise holy shit its really fun and good and surprised by the amount of objects. Shes now an avid fan of the sims 4.
TheCrazyBrittish That's good, then! I just can't get into games like The Sims 4. The only thing that got me into The Sims 3 was when I heard they had horses in The Sims 3 Pets. If The Sims 4 ever makes a pets expansion and has horses in it, I'd be more than happy to buy it.
***** I love both the sims 3 and The sims 4. i think they're both wonderful games and they both have their flaws which related. The thing that got me into the Sims series is the Witches because of the sims 2 had these amazing spells and clothing it was amazing as them. i kinda don't like them in the sims 3 because of the lack of spells and less useful spells but i love the magic bar and large range of potions. I've bought the sims 4 already cause i just love playing in the colour and cartoonish world of the sims. i think thats when sims are truly alive. The Sims 4 recently is showing great potential and i hope they do the same uniqueness of the sims 3 with its expansions and upgrade on many of them.
They must have intended this to be a filler game in the series and purposely didn’t add new features. It was only meant to be a quick money grab for diehard fans who are loyal and would buy anything with the Sims name. I’m assuming with the lack of expansions and additional content released for this title they are focusing all their efforts on the *next* iteration, which, in order to improve on what they’ve already done, would have to include a fully integrated online multiplayer component. TS4 was never meant to be anything than a quick cash in and diversion from a much bigger project they’ve been working on.
Conan Edogawa I think sims 3 was amazing, however the microtransactions and Katy Perry tie ins were worrying me. Like I think someone did the math and all the stuff on the sim store was $72,000. Thankfully that failed as custom mod content was everywhere for free, but it made me worried for the franchise that eventually they would take away features and sell them back to you. And with the sims 4 they definitely did
To me it's the little things that breaks immersion. There is no mailman. Mail just appears in your mailbox. When buying a book on the computer the book magically appears in your Sim's inventory. It's like they made it easy mode. It doesn't have that "living in a town with people going about their daily routine" like it did in TS3.
Only problem I had with TS3 is the "living in a town with people going about their daily routine" is the fact that there was rarely any people. Then people would hang out at random lots for no reason. Same as this game.
Sims 5 will include no hygene or bladder needs, no sinks, toilets and showers. Removes the elder lifestage (these may come back in furute expansion packs) And will cost 100 usd for the most basic version.
Lazy Game Reviews 19:04 Is that a pun? You say "launch" and look at what happens! Also, who's the cute MySim with those purple eyes on the desk? I guess that's something I'll have to find out.
Sims 2 and 3 you could play without any expansions they just made it even more fun but the base game was amazing on its own. But Sims 4 you need the expansions for any amount of fun and mods for a really thrilling game play. Even forgetting 3 happened it could have still improved on sims 2 concepts and game play and it didn’t. It feels like this should have been the second one then sims 2 then sims 3. I hardly even load up the game anymore I’m so glad I didn’t waste money on all the packs. Sims 2 is still my preferred game.
Seems to me that Maxis is in desperate need of some new programmers to figure out a way to get simulations to run without sacrificing massively important aspects of their games. This review reminds me of SimCity which would have been amazing had there not been performance issues; it just makes me sad, did they learn nothing?
As always honest, sassy and fair - I agree with a lot of what you have said and it's one of the reasons i am not stopping my Sims 3 LPs on my channel - I am enjoying this game but it is NOT enough to sustain a UA-cam channel. I have an LP planned with this but still feel it will be limiting until they bring out expansions. In saying all that like you i am enjoying this very much, it's a lot of fun so we will see what the future holds.
I'm glad I watched this video, made me realize that I'm better off buying sims 3 for a first timer with the sims series. anyone agree? id appreciate opinions
I like the lively community with the sims 4, many updates and many things to look forward too, sure it's not a complete game missing toddlers and all but I'll wait. I played the sims 3 and didn't like it much. I depended to much on create a style cause everything was just a shade of brown and the sims always looked bad tbh. Now everything is bright and colourful and designing sims and houses doesn't take that long. There are still many options to choose from. But again it just depends on personal preference.
+Gabriel Hornburg The Sims 4 is... okay but they made some pretty iffy choices on design. It is fun and all though. That being said, there is a hell of a lot more to do in The Sims 3, specially if you get the EPs for it, I really recommend Seasons, Generations, Pets & World Adventures. You do need a fairly decent computer to run it, and even then you'll still have some lag issues do to poor optimization. NRAAS has a few mods that helps like Overwatch & ErrorTrap.
I am so happy to see your view on Sims 4. That is by far the most positive review I have seen. You clearly played the game and didn't just stamp it as cashgrab, because lol EA and maximum profit, like everyone else does. It definitely needs its fixes and patches however, the price really is absurdly high as you stated. Most people I know just looked at that "80 removed features in Sims 4" article and just hate(d) the game to death, without having played it or even watched any gameplay footage of it. And its just a shame, because it actually looks alright. Nothing revolutionary, but not a catastrophy either. I enjoyed the video, thanks for the effort. :)
played it and my view was it was ok. But I think I would have more fun playing the sims 3. But I'm also running it on my laptop so this is defiantly better performance wise for laptops.
Considering just how much they're going to microtranaction this piece of garbage, it should've been to free to play, and be more honest about what you were actually purchasing. Making you pay for this shallow shell of a "game" that will inevitably cost a couple hundred additional bucks just to get it's quality of features up to a level expected for a 4th title in this long running series's base game is just wrong. I wasn't going to buy it anyway since i have a standing boycott on all EA products until Sims 3 is fixed, but this bullshit (and especially their slap in the face "gifts" to owners of that glitchy broken mess called Sims 3) needs to actively campaigned against. The only reason this piece of crap is as limited as it is because it was built around being always online, with social aspects like Simcity (2013) (and even even titled The Sims (2014) reboot, internally before the official announcement following the backlash against Always Online over D3 and Simcity's releases turned it into "The Sims 4") was, but had to be hurriedly retooled after they abandoned the always online bandwagon, and it shows, PAINFULLY. But hey, if you've always wanted a multiplayer Sims, all the infrastructure for it is built into the engine, so expect a $50 expansion pack to turn it back on once they change it to a more peer to peer hosting option to try and make up for gimped engine they've built this game on.
This might be the best and most honest review of The Sims 4 - I wish I saw this before ordering the game itself. Now I am fighting with a web store trying to return my unopened game box...
2Stupid Games No, Maxis Emeryville Shutdown. Maxis Redwood is still active and going. Specifically "The Sims Studio", a division of EA and Maxis has been working on The Sims since TS3.
Honestly I'm feeling ripped off by EA. Being charged $70 for an unfinished game is really upsetting. No toddlers, no pools, no repairman, no Create a style no open world and listen to me NO DISHWASHERS!!!! I could understand they would remove some features demanding too much resources but the dishwasher is way above the understanding. The resources excuse is another lie from EA who is just expecting its customers to continue being sheep and buy multiple DLCs. EA are crooks and it's disgraceful.
There are over 80 features missing that were in previous game soo yeah . Like one Shity part is you can only Hire a Maid that is some Old dude that dsn't clean all your shit . You can't hire no one too fix your stuff also or someone to take carre of your plants and that takes a lot of time.
I still remember how excited I was for this game. I went to buy it with my aunt on release day (we are both huge simmers) and we were so disappointed. The map, no open world, no pools, no toddlers, less sim traits, no create a style... I recently started playing sims 3 again and yeah, there's a lot of bugs but the gameplay is actually fun and interesting. Whenever I play ts4 I spend most of the time in cas and build mode bc they're the only parts i find genuinely enjoyable.
Why did they change so much? Who as a customer was telling them to change everything, surely they would listen to those who actually play the game to know what to put into the new Sims 4. I'm really disappointed I feel like they took 1 step forward with the Sims 3 then 10 steps back with the Sims 4 literally, it feels like I'm playing the Sims 2 all over again but slightly more fancy. Many people simply wanted a mix of 2 and 3 and it would be perfect.
I’ve noticed that if Sim 4 is the only sims game you’ve played, it’s amazing, but if you’ve been playing since sims 2 or 3, it’s disappointing and missing so much.
Im playing the sims 3 now and I'm wishing for the sims 2 experience.
Thats because the first time u experience something is always gonna be the best
I’ve been playing since sims 1
Can confirm, 4 is my first Sims game, and I love it. Don't know if I want to play the older ones now, but I probably will try them out someday.
Sims 1 and 2 are my favorites, 3 is way too glitchy and buggy for me
It's strange how the game focuses more on the sims themselves, but has fewer ages and personality traits to choose.
Not to mention that teens, adults and elders are basically the same life stage with minor differences.
Teens are adults but shorter and elders are alduts with grey hair and lower tits.
Binging on Books The Sims 4 had to have been rushed lol you are so right

Omg that would be my dream!

It would be awesome to do that! I play the Sims 3 mostly :)
yea that would be cool, i play the sims 1 mostly
OMG That would be amazing.
And also the detail in sims 2 animations and also cutscenes
If this is the way Sims 4 was from the start, it’s no surprised that builders are the most prevalent player type now. It’s the only thing that was really finished at the beginning
I'm going back to TS2 right now (because it's just the better game) and yeah, getting used to the building after TS4's very easy building is a bit of an adjustment. It's much more work to build cool detailed stuff, but mostly the end product looks pretty good.
"You have to be a sadistic hydrophobe to build a hot desert town to play in and not include a single way to go swimming and cool off."
-LGR 2014, calling EA Sadistic Hydrophobes

twinsister27 he said that as soon as I read that lel.
the game has pools now
twinsister27 EA was one step ahead of us trying to torture the sims
EA liked to kill sims as much as we did

They don't even have DISHWASHERS for crying out loud! The trash is never full and beds are never unmade. Burglars don't exist, and if you have a fire you better be able to put it out yourself. They can't even be bothered to put little things like that in.
creamcuppy Umm they did add dishwashers
They have dishwashers now, and MODS. Mods for pretty much anything.
Ik it’s disappointing
It's EA.
kevnar yeah skate 3 was bad too want more to customize your park but dlc want to upload new videos can't without the share pack
"cut into dlc revenue" *cough, cough* (first pet stuff) *cough, cough*
hey is there any tool/mod i can get to get that back? one of my favourite parts of the sims 3 was being able to make any clothing/furniture item any color or pattern that i want.
Big Hits nope. EA just decided to screw us over
Sky Dome it's a pain though. It takes a long time to recolor something in a good amount of colors, and it's hard when you don't have the psd. Not to mention how many gigabytes recolors suck up..
Please EA don't ever make a closed world ever again
I love how straightforward your reviews are. Almost 20 minutes and I don't feel like a single minute was wasted in getting to the point.
Romesa Khan Agreed
Romesa Khan They were plenty of seconds he wasted going on and on and on about how the Sims in the title screen was "weird! And how their stories were weirder! And how they are more weird!"
June Langley - Technically, that was his point.
Got it for free, played it for literally two days and got bored to hell. This is so sad specially considering for how much time I played The Sims 2 and 3. And yes, I'm comparing the games without any expansions. This is just sad, really.

What the Sims 4 should really cost:
Base Game: $35
Expansion Packs: $25
Game Packs: $20
Stuff Packs: $5
They reduced the base game price to $40. Expansion packs however, are still $40, Game packs are $20, and Stuff packs are $10. But you can find them for less whenever they go on sale, which has been often lately. Also, if you get Origin Access, you can get the Sims 4 as part of the deal at no added cost. Same with Sims 3 starter pack.
Like when I bought the Sims 2! I had all the expansion packs and stuff packs except Bon Voyage, all around 10-20€
What the Sims 4 should really cost:
Base game: 5$
Expansions: 3$
Game packs: free
Game stuff: free
P.S.
I know, expansions probably would cost too much, almost as price of base game, but they were trying...
The Expansions are hella expensive but the game is still good
Edit: Dlcs
Just bought the base game for $5.
Wow sims 3 is so much greater!!!!!!!
I don't need to release nostalgic cry...
Because I also still playing Sims 3 =)
Same, I played sims 3 again yesterday and I noticed so many things I've never seen before even though I had the game for years
Is the gayest sentence ever...
Sims 3 is really the true experience for simmers
When it's 2016 and there's no chairs expansion pack
Chloe when it's 2016 and there's still no seasons or university 😑🔫
Victoria Major Right! Give me at least university and I'll buy it in a second
I'll stick to the Sims 2 and 3 for actual content thanks.
there hello I want to level up sitting. I'm already a master at it in real life so it would add a lot of realism for me.
Sims 4 was free for a while recently. Hard to imagine paying over 100$ for it.
I bought it for 6.99$ and I feel like I wasted my money so I can’t imagine someone paying 100$ bucks for it
Shephatia Augustin I bought the sims 3 and felt ripped off
i got the base game for free but now i get the game cracked
I got it for five bucks. As it should be
I was able to get it during the holiday sale so I luckily only paid $5 for the base game and the expansions were discounted enough for me to get seasons, parenthood, and get to work at once for less than $70.
$20? You give EA too much credit.
I agree, they got rid all the basic things that should have been in the base game. I think ill just sit back and see if they make any improvements or free updates like in sims 3
I'm kinda glad burglars are left out.. They're annoying and they make scary music sounds..
They ended up adding everything but burgulurs
The game wasn't even finished then
Honestly, I feel like the good things they ADDED to sims 4, couldve just been added to sims 3. Like just do a big update and add the graphics, the multitasking and the better build mode and you would have a huge hit!
Yup. I totally agree.
Not possible. It would require almost a full rework of the game and anyway the sims 3 runs like crap right now so after the "big update" you would need atlest 3000$ pc to run it...
A
Not to mention that the way the game has been built probably won't let them touch anything that deep. The graphics wouldn't make sense, the build mode could maybe be added? But the multitasking probably wouldn't. Just because that's not how games work :P
Why would they give sims 3 sims 4 graphics when it already looks way better
The only reason I hate it is because Sims 3 is better.

dosnt seem like they like money if they dont make it worth buying
Mr. Krabs would be so proud if he knew!
There's a mod that allows for more story progression!
+Lazy Game Reviews Oh wow thanks so much for letting me know!! I was wondering if someone was going to design a story progression mod for TS4! :-) Awesome!
+Baeagon I think it's called Mc Command Center! :)

Get ready for Sims 4 Seasons! Less than a month away!

Shanaza W sulani was a disaster
Me too!
Since I never got it at release, and hear about how they added things too it since the release (and loading times on mine are pretty fast so i assume that's improved.), so I'm prettty curious! xD
but the game is still to be empty
It's still pretty damn boring on some historic bland levels for the Sims franchise
Thumbs up!
And i love that the community (the comments section) here haves fun for what The Sims 4 has, not ranting about all the missing features. :)

I love a lot about Sims 4, my complaints
-No Free World
-Why can't we choose more of our Sims personality traits
-Not enough customization
-Building can be a bit difficult
- There's not enough fun things to do in the world
I'm still rocking Sims 3. So far that's the best one and still amazing
This game also can't be fixed with any amount of expansions. It is fundamentally flawed and can never be as fun as its predecessor.
Your comment aged well!
I hate the sims 4.. Played it and deleted it. Went back to sims 3!
Same. I tried the free trial for The Sims 4 yesterday and uninstalled it an hour. The lack of freedom was immediately evident and stifling.
It is still free wtf. And with the added content its fine.

I recently just switched back to the Sims 3 too, and I’m way more invested than I ever was playing the Sims 4
Honestly in my opinion, the Sims 3 is still my favorite and I play it the most :)

I wish I could say that but I have every Ep and sp , Cas takes for ever to load the clothing , but the game play works fine for me

So they can't make a color wheel for clothing because of performance, but you can scale objects to an infinite size. Oh the irony...
for real tho! and you can make extravagant fountains but no pools :(
Preach my brother or sister! :-)
Yes!!! What do I need infinite sized televisions!? I want my CASt back!
i know it is so stupid. my bed can be the size of the city but i can't have a car?
i can have amazing graphics just to be wasted on bad houses?
i can't have a pool but i can have a fountain the size of one?
when my cousin got the game he actually took it back to the store and told them that he might have been sold a bootleg game. but the manager said that was the real game and my cousin didn't believe him
I got sims 4 late 2014 and got sims 3 a year later after realizing how much better it is. Let me just say I didn’t touch sims 4 for about two years.
+DarkPhoenix1985 You're totally right, that's a great way of putting it.
VERY BORING there is sooooo much more you can do and have in sims 3.

The Sims 4 is cool and all, and while I like the new art style, and the create a sim, I just can't get past the loss of open world, tiny towns, loading screens and lack of basic content, even with the expansions.
yep Sims 4 is just a cash grab
+Ryan Swift I agree, even after owning gtw and all eps + gps so far. It's like going back to the stone age when playing The Sims 4.
If they make a Sims 5, I sure hope they improve on many things, or The Sims 4 may be my last.
that feature is include in sims 4
@@noodle3851 yeah ones due to a game pack
OR just offer a wider range of options in-game that could then change the system demands dramatically for those who require a lower res and less powerful game.)
The sims 4 is rushed, with little to no true market research into who really plays their game and what they want from the next generation of sims.
@@Enigmaprince omg they actually did this. Watch them release burglars in a dlc.
If they made the graphics like the sims 1 it would be a failure. The only reason you like it is because of nostalga
kathryn doyle Not really. Gameplay > Graphics.
Expl0rati0n The sims 1 had NO gameplay. The sims 4 is vastly better than the sims 1, and you know it.
totally have to agree with you in terms of gameplay. sims 3 started taking longer and longer to load and save after playing for a few weeks and i had a laptop that really exceeded the PC requirements. and then i couldnt even play from lagging when i downloaded an expansion pack (sims seasons).

Happie Crunchies yep, i regret buying sims 4 so much :(
The sims 4 keeps getting put on sale for 5 dollars randomly, rip to the people who paid 60 bucks when it came out (including me). -_-
I got it several months back when they were offering it for free for about a week!
But $60 for a game when it's pretty newly released is pretty standard pricing. (which is why someone like me rarely buys games until they've been out for at least a year. Sims is one of those games I can be more patient with. )
(though technically anyone could get it for free if they go through torrents I suppose.

Jackomac43 Rocks, gems, flowers are in The Sims 4. Wine making, car relationships, and the extra rewards and perks were added in patches and expansions :)
But yeah, TS4 still has a long way to go to reach TS3's level of end-of-life content.

Sims 3 was the best. They should've just continued it.
***** And Sims2 too. Sims4 is just weird.
+Brittany Byrnes i prefer the sims 2, but sims 3 is 1 million times better than sims 4.

And with the sims 4 they definitely did
@@killerkitten7534 the store def doesn’t cost $72,000 it’s more around $3,000 but that’s still too expensive
To me it's the little things that breaks immersion. There is no mailman. Mail just appears in your mailbox. When buying a book on the computer the book magically appears in your Sim's inventory. It's like they made it easy mode. It doesn't have that "living in a town with people going about their daily routine" like it did in TS3.
true
Only problem I had with TS3 is the "living in a town with people going about their daily routine" is the fact that there was rarely any people. Then people would hang out at random lots for no reason. Same as this game.
Sims 5 will include no hygene or bladder needs, no sinks, toilets and showers. Removes the elder lifestage (these may come back in furute expansion packs)
And will cost 100 usd for the most basic version.

Lazy Game Reviews 19:04 Is that a pun? You say "launch" and look at what happens! Also, who's the cute MySim with those purple eyes on the desk? I guess that's something I'll have to find out.
Yonnimer sims 4 was missing pools at release. The sims 1 had pools at release.
Well said.
Thank you good sir, you saved me a lot of money! Definetely NOT buying this.
Just get the Sims 3, and if you already have it, deck it out with extra expansion packs
+TheCheck7 yes! the sims 3 are so damn great
I'm still buying it because its getting more updates

It's to late for me, I just bought it. 😢
Hi... yet another person I have subscribed to on this channel!
i started playing the game in 2018 so i cant imagine playing with the black and white map, no toddlers, no pools, etc
it was sad…. i played sims 3 and didnt rly touch it at all tbh back then but had it. i started playing it frfr in 2016-17
I'm glad I watched this video, made me realize that I'm better off buying sims 3 for a first timer with the sims series. anyone agree? id appreciate opinions

The Sims 4 is... okay but they made some pretty iffy choices on design.
+L. Wolf get sims 3 it's way more worth it and is so much fun
The RainbowLoom Expert
Yea I got it, and all but the Katy Perry Expansions. Is a guy on eBay selling the expansions really cheap.
+L. Wolf why would you get the katy perry expansion...?
I couldn't agree with you more
played it and my view was it was ok. But I think I would have more fun playing the sims 3. But I'm also running it on my laptop so this is defiantly better performance wise for laptops.
Retsam Ecar $100 for the collectors 70 for deluxe 60 for base unless you are in Australia then idk I do know games cost more there than in Canada
Sims 4 create a sim and graphics + Sims 3 open world and gameplay = PERFECT GAME EVER😍😍😍
If the multitasking was implemented in sims 3 that would be amazing
I think that I will skip this one and wait for the 5th...
By then, EA will be bankrupt due to internal affairs lol
You know Cities: Skylines? Yeah, we need another company to pick up the slack on this one and throw the ball out of the park..
Simone de Vette Maxis shut down, a new Sims is unlikely...the franchises reputation has been fucked up anyway.
2Stupid Games No, Maxis Emeryville Shutdown. Maxis Redwood is still active and going. Specifically "The Sims Studio", a division of EA and Maxis has been working on The Sims since TS3.
William Rowan So we will still get overpriced DLC for a bad The Sims game? Great -.-
I remember getting home from school and my dad surprised me and my older sister with the sims 3 :') That was years ago
Yes very disgraceful and manifest
Patches for that stuff was announced today. Da rushed maxis to release the game. Fuck EAs bullfuck.
There are over 80 features missing that were in previous game soo yeah . Like one Shity part is you can only Hire a Maid that is some Old dude that dsn't clean all your shit . You can't hire no one too fix your stuff also or someone to take carre of your plants and that takes a lot of time.
lol no dishwashers lmao
no family tree :(
I still remember how excited I was for this game.
I'm here from the future to tell you that no sims series has ever beat The Sims 3.
Moreover, there will never be a better sims game than The Sims 3.
I want a remake of The Sims 2!
Oktodenn whats wrong with sims 3 or you said that and you didnt wanted to insult SIMS 3 fans right?
Ikr?
I love ts2 so much i wanted something like sims 2 but with a few features from sims 3 and 4
At first I thought you're being a bit too harsh, but then I realized I have 1000+ custom content in my game
Create A Style wasn't removed because of performance, it was removed to minimize the amount of content available in the base game.
Bingo.
It is ridiculously easy to make a custom T shirt or whatever. There is no reason why EA couldn't have added that function into the base game.
I think Sims 3 was the best in the series
Two years went by and this game is still garbage.
The Game Master and only 3 expansions
4

8 EPs, 8 GPs and 18 SPs later and the game has improved in a few areas, but still feels equally lifeless.
6!!
