    And what exactly did we learn here?
    Not how to install them.
    Thanks for a tour of the underneath of your truck.

    Any problems with the shock extenders? Did they bend like how you were thinking they would?

      So far they been great. No movement. I marked them and they are still in same position. We have some real.shitty roads here. Like potholes you can loose a small child in lol. All our roads are in worst shape then our back road gravel ones, its crazy. So a pretty good test. I now have 9600km so I put about 6000km approx with them.

      @@02mp9696 thanks for replying just bought a Silverado without knowing it had a leveling kit on the front springs and oem shock size is to small so idk if im gonna go with these extensions or 2 inch longer shocks

      @@jimmymiller4166 if you have the factory Rancho shocks, I would just get a better shock. For myself, $50 was ok at the time. I plan to get a different shock all around for a better ride.

    after disconnecting the shocks. Did you have to use a jack to lift the shock to install the extensions? I wish you would of showed the whole installation.

      Ya im not the one for recording all the process lol. But all I did was jack up the rear frame a bit. And let the diff hang. I didn't even have to, but just for some room. Then unbolt the bottom of shock, slip in the extension, bolt that in, then compress the shock up and slip that into the extension, slip the bolt in. Torque to 85ftp and recheck it after a few hundred km. Maybe future videos I can record a bit more. But it is pretty simple to do. Like I said. You can just do it all on the ground with no jack. Just a bit of muscle 👍

      @@02mp9696 Thank you so much for this. Im just trying to get a good idea of the installation in which im going to try to do today. I have a 2inch rear block, so If i decide not to use a jack at all..and just disconnect the shock. All I would have to do is push up on the shock with some muscles and just slide in the bolt?

      @@uwont4gitme pretty much, the ranchos on mine are a bit stiff. But ya you could just unbolt the bottom bolt and slip it out, but it is harder to do it that way thats all. I would just jack it up by the frame, and take some pressure off everything. If you never done it before, just do that. You might need to use a mini prybar to pop out the shock mount out of the purch.

      @@uwont4gitme if you use no jack, and unbolt the shock, you can bolt the extention onto the bottom of the shock, and then push up, rotate and slip into place. In this video, I didn't have the truck off the ground, just jacked up a bit. Wheels were on the ground still. I have changed others completely on the ground.

    Did those shock extensions had height like 1inch or 2?

    • @02mp9696
      @02mp9696  4 роки тому +2

      The didn't add height. They are used to bring the shocks back up.to stock position. Without them,.the new blocks over extended them.

    • @02mp9696
      @02mp9696  4 роки тому +1

      Not hard at all. Just unbolt it, let it extend. Install the spacer, and push the shock back up into place. After months of being installed this way. I've seen them installed on the top side vs the lower like I did. Right or wrong. I've had 0 issues.

      You don’t need extenders for the front in these models, you need strut spacers 👍🏻
