Better job than I have seen in some new builds, not sure how the excess ducting would hold up against the ever increasingly stringent flow rates as flexi tends to create a lot of turbulance even in small lengths. but from what I can see it would Get a lot better results than a few recent jobs I have tested. you wont believe how many get away with excess ducting of up to and exceeding 1 ft.
Hi by all means use silicone to seal the outside but the screws and plugs on the outlet plate wouldn't cost much more to fit🤑🤑 i would have fitted at least two as a minimum ...
Recently moved into property and cooker hood extractor fan is not drawing air when turned on! It is useless! Trying to find out why it doesn't work and how I can fix it.
Hi i know it’s an old video but my cooker hood is facing the bathroom. Is it possible to drill through to the bathroom wall. And then up through the ceiling? As the bathroom ceiling is free from outside to put a vent in. Please let me know
The reducer (2:50) just pops off the extractor and can be then fitted on new fan easily. But id personally change the ducting aswell if fitting new fan as over time it would get full off grease etc.. 👍
Great video! I have a shed in my backyard. I plan to install a simple extractor hood like what you have shown. I am interested in the brand and model of your vent kit. Could you tell me the information of your system? Thanks a lot!
Mate... thanks for your time energy and manner for this video as it gave me all what i needed to battle against and win !! Legend man
You are welcome thanks
Best video I’ve seen showing this so far. Thankyou!

Everything about this was done wrong.
Thank you so much for excellent information.
You are welcome thanks 😊
Best video so far
@@benjaminanumel8553 thanks 😊
A lot of silicone, i recommend actual 4" duck work and also plastic anchors to secure outside cove incase you need access later, all in all good info
You are welcome thanks
I was told if you go from 6 to 4 inch it restricts the flow and can back up to the extractor?

If the world ever runs out of silicone, I know who to blame 😆
Thanks for this very informative video!
Thanks
A really helpful video mate, thank you!
You are welcome thanks
This is informative and odd. Very entertaining.
Thanks
terbaik videonya mas.....semoga terus sukses...
Can I extent with plumbing pipe if the cooking point is not close to outside wall
@@adejoropelumi best to use aluminium flaxi pipe.
Very helpful one thanks alot
You are welcome thanks 😊
I love your work.... I need more tutorial
Don't hamerdrill with a circular grinder, it kills the grinder but you probably found that out by now.
Great job
Thanks

Have u checked the filters. They might have to clogged up.
Flexible and plastic would NEVER fly in my area.. collects debris over time, fire hazard and probably noisy as can be

Apparently your not supposed to use pvc all ducting from a kitchen extractor hood have to be metal.
In winter would the outside vent stop a draught in the kitchen?
Yes the extractor hood has a one way shutter which shuts down one the fan in not blowing steam out.
You are the best
I use stainless steel ducting for obvious multiple reasons
How did you know where to drill on the outside wall so that it lined up with the correct location on the inside wall? Did you drill a long pilot hole?
Yes I found the right angle from inside n drilled a hole with long drill bit n that was my center point.
@@diykhan cool, worked out well 👏
What if your cooker is not near an outside facing wall?
U can make a box alone side the wall and the ceiling to accommodate the aluminium 150mm flexible pipe.
Brilliant work, did you add the socket yourself for powering the extracting vent fan. What silicone did you use?
I have just this done by someone and I think the duct is small. What happened if a small one is fitted?
For the kitchen extractor fan or hood the duct has to be 150mm or bigger.
@@diykhan oh no... he's fitted a 100cm and said it was fine I was none the wiser will it cause problems I'm worried now.
Its ok but 150mm is more sufficient and will extract better.
@@diykhan thank you for your reply wish I had known before.
@diykhan you say 150 is sufficient. But you only did a 110 hole yourself and used reducer??
Great!...thank you!
You are welcome thanks 😊
Why don’t you use some silicone??
What is that on your nail?
Does flexi ducting work with high temperatures?
The kitchen extractor hood doesn't get hot.
Extractor hood won’t get hot but the fumes being extracted will be.
Too much silicone. If that extractor fan packs up think of the headache the next engineer will have removing it.

Hi. You are welcome thanks
You can buy the vent kit from toolstation
Good work

Perfect
Thanks
shouldn't it be metal?
Don't have to be metal.
Nice
Thanks
Good job done

Hello do you provide this service where are you based
No sorry I don't due to extremely busy routine
God, I hope not. Everything was wrong. Everything!
You seriously painted over pencil? 😏
Surtout e jamais faire cela incendies assuré 😢
Why is he drilling wrong direction 😅
Its drilling at fast speed so it would look wrong direction but it is the right direction clockwise
Brilliant work, did you add the socket yourself for powering the extracting vent fan. What silicone did you use?
Hi. The socket was already there and the silicone was bought from toolstation.
For the cooker hood u can also instal FCU from the lighting system
