The "Rock The Bells" pattern revisited

  • "When you stop thinking about what you're doing wrong your limbs start to adapt and they do what they need to. But the minute you get in yoru head and you're acknowledging the mistake, it's funny how that works because you keep repeating the mistake you're obsessing about in your head. So let it go, forget about it, move forward, move forward! Keep thinking bout the next move. Especially when you're doing this stuff live. Ignore your mistakes, move on from them. They already happened. There's nothing you can do to erase it. Your limbs know, "alright, I gotta kind of speed up here, slow down there..." Just calm your brain. Try not to worry so much. Just allow yourself to be free as far as what's going on in your head, and your hands will take over and do what they need to do." ~ Brolic Arm

Hey Rob, I am 60 years old. I was a DJ back in the 70's and I retired from the scene in 97. I am getting back into it now in 24, I am old, I am slow, but you are like a bellow putting back the fire in my heart, You inspire me. Thanks!

It's one thing being an amazing dj but being able to teach it so articulately is a true talent and having a student with major skill helps.

These videos are my new favorite thing on UA-cam. I was never a great DJ (it was a fun hobby in high school/college) and I haven't touched a turntable in over 20 years, but these are fun to watch. I've learned stuff just watching.

7:40... Rob teaches this art like Professor B taught Math. He lets YOU “drive the bus”. He NATURALLY leads you into each phase of a lesson. This is really cool man. I watch these videos as much as I can on my phone. I love this art. I want to be fluently fluid in it.

Rob is the best teacher his style of instruction is the standard; I've always have padawan type of youngsters they want hang out at the gigs they got it easy now not having to carry crates of records. But I play the guitar so i knew music before i started DJing i understood when my little guys don't under I send them to MPC to make me loops it helps them to see structure of a BAR . Your guy is on it he is like a sponge ...... or he plays the piano or guitar I noticed people who play instruments that require two hands n doing different actions they pick fast on routines that have the 2 had requirement

Rob big up man ! Im from Russia my age is 30 years. Its realy big oportunity 2 me that i can see this video !!!Even i can use it to practice) i didnt start juglin but i clearly understands what you are saying in this video)AWESOME that you came to Russia ))) it was demonstration of PEACE between the people ,concerning all those things that happens in the world now...One nations hates other nation ,wars ...And when i saw X-Ecutioners a RST i was really happy ,and still i watching this battle after work in train by going home ,then at my flat in evening .You are guys provide some extra HIP-HOP energy for us it was real CULTURE GIFT 2 us ) .And i mean that things i saw in this battle is REAL and this is the true -different peoples from different countries ,different languages ,but ! there is a 1 language we are all understands - HIP-HOP,its kind a moment from avatar when they are all connects to the one point of energy and gets deep in 2 the vibe))) they dont need war they are all childrens of the grooves and funky vibes ) so i get deep right now ))) PEEEAAACCCEEeee
