Did the Republic turning to the Empire was made by only a powerful few idiotic senators who never went back to their home worlds, or were they really in love with Palpatine that much that they couldn’t seen that on his watch the Capital of the Republic was attack.
Inquisitor Garza no the sith or mandalorian wars were more brutal for the galaxy because it was actually people and not droids and replaceable clones fighting it.

Calling in air support to deal with anti-air isn't unheard of, at least not in our world. It was done during the First Gulf War - when Iraq had the most missile defense systems in the world, especially over Baghdad. As long as you're out of radar range, or actively jamming it, you can generally hit AA guns with bombs or A2G missiles. Obi Wan wasn't as stupid as he seemed.

Imagine you have entire planet to land on but you choose to land right on top of enemy AA positions... No suprise some clones were so trigger happy during Order 66.
Is there a reason why we've never seen any orbital bombardments during some of these invasions? I may be mistaken but I don't remember ever hearing about that as a battle tactic.
Most bases have shield generators (like the one at hoth). When they are activated, it’s practically impossible to bombard the base. Actually, the reason ozzel died was because he took out Vader’s fleet too early, and none of the ships could bombard the planet at the range where they were efficiently, giving the rebels time to activate defenses while the imperials went to their places.
I know people love Cody and he’s one of the best, but I feel like his survival in this battle is the result of plot armor. When he climbed the rock spike he could just as easily been killed like his 3 comrades.
When you said Obi-Wan ordered an air attack on AA positions I immediately thought 'Hang on, we're smarter than this' I honestly can't believe he would do that.
They should've sent in scouts first in order to see how well defended the place was instead of understimating the enemy. Later sent in the commandos to disrupt the defenses before doing the full scale assault. That way the enemy is weakened. Finally all out attack with less casualties( wish there were none for the clones, but in war there's always death and suffering, you live with those horrifying memories. Feel guilt whether you did something stupid or not in which caused massive looses. Seeing your brothers die one by one is something you dont wanna see in your memories. You either carry that memory and learn from it or remember it till you go insane. Your past defines you. See the error of your ways. By that your character gets strengthened or destroyed. All you have to do is fight and survive each day. Make sure that those around you dont suffer the same thing or make the same mistake as you did. Memories come and go. Use them to become someone better). They could've attacked from behind. Or atleast orbital bombard the defenses or the shit out of that place. Misnagement as all wars as usual.
