If you mix the prismatic driver with the Elevated Ring (mod usage heals 20% health; stacks up to 60%) with the Dense Silicon Ring (200% of healing becomes mod power gen) then you get a close to infinite loop of healing and mod power gen. One single lazer shot of the prismatic driver counts as one mod usage so shoot three times with a tiiiiny gap in between each shot and you've now got a 60% heal with happens over 10 seconds. It's totally busted and for makes the prismatic a tip tier mode for cheesing any sitch
I use PD on hand gun with feedback and monolith with sprit healer. Rince PD until it's out, pop a sandstorm, get all your hp back and then swap back to PD. It's working really well for me
Fiiiiiiinalllyyyty! Dude I consistently watch your weapon videos and your tier list videos. I'm trying to figure out how to play the best way and youre my biggest point of reference
imo defrag should be much higher. it's not mentioned but it grants a 15% ranged damage increase on activation for its entire duration, which stacks with the 20% damage bonus from the orbs. it also lasts longer than the other imbue mods & won't cripple your damage against elemental resist bosses
@@Ccubed92 lmao helix is in S tier but no one uses it, doesn't mean it's not good. popularity =/= effectiveness. no one uses defrag because its tooltip leaves out the most useful part about it.
Song Of Eafir can never go wrong. been part of my build majority of the time. pls make relic tier list next since couple of relic got tweaked in dlc 2 patch.
The voltaic orb is crazy, i can just run it with firestorm on a mod build for significantly easier and better results, i agree with most of your tierlist though, defrag is also really good with lmg on melee builds
awesome vid! I will say i have had a ton of success with Root Lash for a few reasons. its unkillable which helps keep the full stacks of bulwark up when you are running the appropriate ring, and when you have the summons lifesteal ring on as well it really cranks up their healing value. its been a really fun addition to my home brewed tank summoner guard dog build! just finished an apocalypse run with the build and i felt very tanky and my life regen/lifesteal was crazy strong!
if you combine the spirit healer mutator with the stasis beam, you can rapidly apply heal overtime effects! its actually hilarious to see how many pop up! i put this on my repair tool just for the extra healing...and too have 3 different colored beams :D
I play a Support build usually consisting of Medic / Alc, Inv, or Warden. I spec mod generation rings, Ar-74 with Song of Eafir and bulletweaver, and Mp60-r with Corrosive Rounds and Harmonizer. I also Use Dreamcatcher with Steadfast. Permanent slows, atk and defensive debuffs, high crit rate Smg with on demand party heals. I loathe playing a pure healer. But I love multi-faceted support.
It’s always hard watching your videos because some of the things you put down at F tier I’ve seen used with some amazing builds. Ruin pistol both corrupted and reg is awesome and I think although the whisps don’t track it’s a pretty great weapon to use when deciding to switch up from weapons like the enigma and nebula. Pairing ruined pistol in coop is awesome as well. Ruined corrupted is also great with the monolith as well. Many builds aren’t just for boss
I think that’s where your tier list base comes from boss builds and the games not always about that. Very informative video though about nerds and such
Well if you notice the footage I tested that gun against ads and not a boss. Since it isn't useful there. I tend to test things where they should be used at, even it it isn't' apparent to the viewer. And while it is technically something you can use, it is also objectively worse than many other sources of healing. You are wasting a very nice mod slot for something that grants an extremely low amount of health. Also, consider that the corrupted rune pistol should almost always take its spot for support and no one runs it. Personally I have never seen it in any build ever, and I try to stay as up to date as possible on the ones people make. But hey if you like it you like it. Plus I did rank the corrupted version rank A which is perfectly deserving of that item.
I use prismatic driver and spirit healer on the tech 22 to get massive healing buffs out fast. The rate at which I gain charges back as well makes it super useful
the biggest problem with Summon mods is that they are all over the place as to what type of damage the scale with. Only 2 actually scale with summon making Soul Stone a poor option for a summon mod build. Then you have some that have an activation timer not allowing you to summon more or even generate mod until the summon vanishes.
My biggest issue is just the variety of summon mods, there’s just so few of them, and they’re all just not as interesting as the ones we had in Remnant 1.
@@Qballiz2kool Small problem with your statement. Beckon and Seed Caller where made into Summoner Skills, Very Good Boy is the Handlers Pet, Iron Sentinel now has 3 variants with 2 firing modes each for the Engineer, Tentacle Shot is now Root Lash mod and Seeker is now Space Crabs mod. Leaving Rattle Weed as the only unique Summon from Remnant 1. Which means Remnant 2 has Slightly more summons then 1 Oh and clone was incorporated into the Invader class
@@AFCasey22 While true you still can't summon more until times up, and by using that ring you are sacrifices better utility and damage as again you are waiting for the summon timer to run out and it provides no benefit to skill summons
Yo i didnt know the firestorm no longer sucks you in. That helps a ton lol. I was always super scared to tag it onto an enemy because if they rush you, you pretty much die lol
Astral Burst is great. Low mod cost, up to 3 charges, and great burst damage. I put it on my widowmaker for example. If an enemy gets in my face, boom, it's dead. It switches to the burst shot instantly. Also, when I miss a shot at medium or close range, instead of reloading my rifle, I quickly switch to astral burst to kill them right after. The bounce effect is not very relevant. The burst damage, quick switch to an alternate firing mode and versatility it gives to some main weapons is what makes it great imo. Sniper that switches to high damage shotgun in 0.5 sec. Plus it's also useful to proc things like healing on mod use and stuff like that
Thing about time lapse if a boss cam throw projectiles from the environment or using enemies as said projectiles you can actually freeze them in the air and they'll stay frozen for the whole seven seconds, pair it with archon and mod Regen and you could keep them trapped in the air
I am happy to see corrosive shot on 3rd place. I've been using it since the beginning and to me it was the best from all modes I had (which is 10% from this list).
Just got the familiar weapon mod, I look forward to trying it. The Cottons Kiln map in Losomn isn't going to be good for my weapon choices thorn and corrupted meridian so will see what other ones I can use with your most recommended mods 😊
Soul Brand on the Rune Pistol heals for 20% which isn't too bad, I'd rank it a little higher than F but the 3m pick up range is pretty piss poor. Might need to check up on the stats on some mods
17:50 Yes seems weird, the portal should be honing or be able to follow the enemies. I can't get along with bows at all, I wonder how devs will make them better
Well it did receive a massive buff recently that makes it now S tier. Same as skewer 2.0. They just trippled both their damage so ya that was a really easy way to make them much better for sure lol.
@SheenShots Remnant 2 is a fantastic game. I binged a load of your rank videos today and am going to try breaking out of my comfort zone. Thank you for your hard work putting the videos together.
48:39 Are there any mutators, rings amulets etc that you know of that can make normal bullets convert into an elemental/explosive or apply corrosive etc? As in without using a mod. I swear there was a ring or something that did that in the Remnant 1
This may be true, but is so then it is an error. Other mods like Helix only get two charges but don't state this in the item description. Rootlash is the only one that does leading to it referring to the number of lashes. Which is obviously not true for it either. Might need a rework from the devs on its description or actual use. Not really sure myself.

Prismatic that low? Damn, that boy have been pretty much carrying me through final leg of the game and the DLCs (Veteran difficulty). Or did it get buffed? I just bought the game in recent sale.

Actually voltaic orb is pretty busted but very nich it’s work only on few bosses that have corridor arena or immobile flying boss like the green boss of nerud even when he goes away and all become dark if u throw voltaic orb he ll take dmg and some real good amount
I'm new to rem 2 but I love the healing orb mod 😅I play summon builds and love multiplayer it's came in handy to heal my allies and shot it off my summons to get the heal instantly
Jumping into Remnant 2 now is crazy. What's the deal with dot? Why is it acting wildly differently from the description and rational expectations? Is every obvious build nerfed? I'm just rolling HUGS with Gift of the unbound, gambler, destroyer, audacious, 4th ring is situational. Got fleet footed so my DR is 60%+, but I'm not really hard-speced into any build. Main is usually hunting bow with supercharger, ~1,200 DPS. I have lots of gear that should make a good DPS build, but I find how dots is implemented is misleading and frustrating, I've even read that some gear is buggy if you don't put it on in a certain order. Guess I just need to spend a little time at the shooting range and do a little math.
I know the effect your speaking off. It is actually worthless in the grand scheme of things. The mod uses almost no energy and thus grants like no healing at all even with 15 stacks. But it does looke funny at least.
You have to remember the title of the video. This came our in DLC 2 where astral burst was one of teh worst mods in the game. Now it has been way overbuffed to be the single best damage source in the entire game. So yes, very S tier now, but not for most of Remnant 2s life time. Patches change literally every aspect of this game its kind of wild to see.
Personally I never use them, but they seem to have no major downside and can easily be used several times in a row. Plus they are easily one of the most unique mods which is a nice of course.
The problem with Explosives is that not everyone has one. With Soulbinder EVERYONE can spread the damage. Issue is that seems like half of the time, the adds that spawn from boss are a variety of ways out of range. Be it because they spawn literally too far away OR because the fucking game decided the only relevant point of reference is the boss' center regardless of how big the boss really is. A fact you will learn if you attempt to use the soul binder on the mother mind. Adds are close enough, BUT the mod decided they need to be within 15 meters of the mother mind's CENTER. Not from the general body. AND THEN WITH SOME LARGE BOSSES THE BODY MATTERS. Like fuck this shit bro. Also, There's a neat interaction with the soulbinder. When enemies blow themselves up. It's not doing it by doing an instant death state. It's doing it by inflicting too much damage to itself. So if you plant the soulbinder on a suicide unit, that unit will inflict the damage it did to itself onto every enemy within the soulbinder's range.
If they had a horde mode then a lot of these mods would at least be worth running for more trash ads but considering a good bit of bosses or just elite enemies are by them self or only have a few ads then most mods really aren’t worth it
I believe it is intentional although can't confirm. Sadly, it is not helpful for mod builds. But you can get the ranged damage to be quite strong that way instead which is good.
Oh for sure yeah, for mod builds it's useless haha. I was just spending like half an hour after the update came out fixing my nerfed corrupt savior and that ring along with the infinite ammo amulet makes it pretty close to how it was before. I never use the mod, just use nebulas mod if I'm in trouble
Flying bomb trap is easily my favorite mod in the game. It is so much fun when you build into it. Just bomb trapping every boss or an entire hallway. Too much fun.
I won’t deny some of the critiques across the whole tier list, but it feels very “armchair developer” to ask for some (not all) of the mods to remove what very little effort they want from the user. I do think it’s a healthy for the game that some mods don’t excel at everything.
If you are referring to the sandstorm spam in our current "meta" of builds yes I definitely agree with you. Most mods feel at least like you need to put effort into regen, crit, or something interesting to make them work. Sandstorm I chalk it up to "the pretty new toy from DLC 2" lol. It will likely be modified in the future likely with a much higher mod cost.
Oh man the devastator was so neat, a big beefy go fuck yourself crossbow shotgun, with an extra big meaty go fuck yourself harpoon to boot. You could troll the fuck out of people with the devastator, didn't it 100% always knock down anyone you hit with the skewer? I remember it having guaranteed knock down on players. Also I ABSOLUTELY loved Rhom, I could play a whole game just focused on that region. The visual aesthetic was 10/10 for me. There are degenerate tribal on the surface. There's H R Giger inspired futuristic flesh tech underground. There's mutants and radiation and hot damn is it dripping in awesome.
space crabs doesn't count as a summon and thus doesn't benefit from summon perks at least that's what it was like back at launch not sure if it was patched or not
@@thewise_1one856 I did and all he does is give a vague explanation to what the mod does pretty much purely based on it's description and then proceeds to say "use it on your summon builds" and even describes it as "summons spiders" unfortunately though Space Crabs does NOT count as a summon in the code of the game so I would highly recommend that you do NOT use Space Crabs on your summon build as it will not benefit from it anymore than anything else would. If you want to boost the potential of Space Crabs you are better to bring Mod description related skills NOT summon description ones hence why I said that. He also doesn't clarify any changes that happened to the mod since release so I can only assume that this is still the case and was not changed in any updates
Yes this mod does count as summons. Its been back in forth in the past which is likely causing the confusion. Here is how you can test: Soul Guard Ring: grant 5 total bulwark Soul Shard Ring: Grants 3 damage stacks Conjurer's Circle: Activates sigil perk Soul Link: DO NOT WORK although they clearly should for this ring Soul Anchor Amulet: Grants the damage buff They clearly count as summons, although considering only last until they die and don't seem to work with soul link it isn't the best Summon mod of all time although still decent since you can spam them.
@@SheenShots ya I agree that they should count as summons that's not what I was concerned with it's just like you said though that apparently what it counts as has changed back and forth and I can tell you as a person who mained summons in my first playthrough at first release I can say that they certainly did not count back then but since as of currently they DO count (mostly) as summons (dumb that some summon effects wouldn't work it should be all or nothing) then I retract my statement thanks for the clarification
The mod for the Corrupted Merciless should proc off of Bleeding targets. Literally EVERYTHING related to the Ravager is Bleed related why not this mod?
This has been my main complain about Remnant 2, most good weapon mod from FTA got altered to skill. There is just not enough good non-boss weapon mod, I've been running Flying bomb trap and Healing pod for the first 50h. I have a heavy preference to non-boss weapons
Its meh to get such an awesome weapon with a crap un-detachable mod 😅 I wonder how the devs can resolve this. Maybe get a ring that can take off the relevant attached mod. But I'm sure that would be a nightmare to program in
Lol not me going through the entire game and dlc with prismatic driver as my go to and absolutely annihilating everything with ease. Of course I'm just on veteran but still.
@SheenShots oh ok, that makes more sense. I have only just started playing again like 2 weeks ago, didn't know they were still buffing and nerfing stuff
I did not mention them because they are mostly pointless. The ammo regen on cube room is not enough of a benefit to make up for it doing nothing else. And defrag is a terrible team support mod. The mod is bad because it requires a lot to make it work. While you can also use many other mods to buff your teams damage or support them. Yes I play coop, no I don't think anyone should ever touch Defrag in coop as it just does not do anything better than running corrosion or corrupted rune pistol.
what good in skewer 2.0 is about damage accumulated insttantly, every second in remnant is gold. dang your judging a skill in a playstyle your not familair
Skewer 2.0 was buffed in the most recent patch to be the second best DPS mod in the game. I was judging it on its ability to be terrible. Now it was made to be very good. Just different states of the game.
Good thing that isn't the case in remnant 1 or 2. Yes, there is obviously some that are just better. However, you can beat the game with new character hardcore starting apocalypse without changing starting weapons or dual classing. Play how you like
@BalgaBear not quite the same here. There isn't anything so bad that you cannot kill enemies effectively. Even on Apoc the less optimal builds still function, just worse than doing Meta builds. Difference is, you aren't forced to play on any particular difficulty mode. Summoner builds are OP in lower difficulties, while still being able to fight in Apoc even if outclassed by then. A RL1 bare fist run is intentionally not doing anything besides just being good at the game with tons of spare time to practice the mechanics of fights.

It is a very fun way to play in coop. Especially if you up mod regen and just shoot healing all over the map lol
Prismatic driver is good equipped with spirit healer it could generate faster than relic lol, it's stronger even compared to hp leach
I know the effect your speaking off. It is actually worthless in the grand scheme of things. The mod uses almost no energy and thus grants like no healing at all even with 15 stacks. But it does looke funny at least.
Are you able to wear the crown and the hood of the red prince at the same time?
Yes, you need to get it as a separate item. Hood, crown, Hood+crown all different rewards.
What is that lazer rifle your using ?
Yo bro we need an updated weapon tier list just like the old one
This list is wrong the second you put Astral Burst anywhere other than S+ tier. It 2-3 taps bosses, has 3 charges, and regens almost immediately.
You have to remember the title of the video. This came our in DLC 2 where astral burst was one of teh worst mods in the game. Now it has been way overbuffed to be the single best damage source in the entire game. So yes, very S tier now, but not for most of Remnant 2s life time. Patches change literally every aspect of this game its kind of wild to see.
space crabs being a is a good rating
Personally I never use them, but they seem to have no major downside and can easily be used several times in a row. Plus they are easily one of the most unique mods which is a nice of course.
@@SheenShots yeah they're super unique. I like that I can spam them.
Best way to deal with primogenitor is to let him latch on and place engineer turret. 😂
ohh thats clever!
I increased mod damage and my root lash works pretty good
7:44 This one I found useful at awkward moments
8:49 Oh cool, not come across this yet 😮 sounds naff anyway thanks for the heads up 👍
If they had a horde mode then a lot of these mods would at least be worth running for more trash ads but considering a good bit of bosses or just elite enemies are by them self or only have a few ads then most mods really aren’t worth it
The cube room mod is actually good
Probably a bug, but just having on the self bleed ring negates the mod decay on corrupt savior
Healing shot is S tier in hardcore
you take that back about supernova it's SSS tier for oneshotting your co-op partners
What FoV do you play on?
1.29 and I don't really deviate at all from that.
soul bind is F tier but flying bomb trap is A tier. god tier opinions on this guy
Flying bomb trap is easily my favorite mod in the game. It is so much fun when you build into it. Just bomb trapping every boss or an entire hallway. Too much fun.
I won’t deny some of the critiques across the whole tier list,
but it feels very “armchair developer” to ask for some (not all) of the mods to remove what very little effort they want from the user.
This dude has never used the Double Barrel with Concussive Shot and Pressure Point and it shows….
space crabs doesn't count as a summon and thus doesn't benefit from summon perks at least that's what it was like back at launch not sure if it was patched or not
Dis you not pay attention to the video?
Here is how you can test:
Soul Guard Ring: grant 5 total bulwark
Soul Shard Ring: Grants 3 damage stacks
Conjurer's Circle: Activates sigil perk
Soul Link: DO NOT WORK although they clearly should for this ring
Soul Anchor Amulet: Grants the damage buff
They clearly count as summons, although considering only last until they die and don't seem to work with soul link it isn't the best Summon mod of all time although still decent since you can spam them.
Never gotten any use out of concussive shot. I'd say F.
No Fathomless Deep?
The mod for the Corrupted Merciless should proc off of Bleeding targets.
Literally EVERYTHING related to the Ravager is Bleed related why not this mod?
34:59 THE SUCC 🥴
merciless does double bloodline damage on bore
Yes, because it has penetration.
This has been my main complain about Remnant 2, most good weapon mod from FTA got altered to skill. There is just not enough good non-boss weapon mod, I've been running Flying bomb trap and Healing pod for the first 50h. I have a heavy preference to non-boss weapons
Scrap shot for 🏆Scrappiest Mod🏆. It's _the little mod that could!_ It's saved my butt 1000 times, and flying ads can suck eggs.
Its meh to get such an awesome weapon with a crap un-detachable mod 😅 I wonder how the devs can resolve this. Maybe get a ring that can take off the relevant attached mod. But I'm sure that would be a nightmare to program in
Lets go mod video
Astral burst destroys now lol
Lol not me going through the entire game and dlc with prismatic driver as my go to and absolutely annihilating everything with ease. Of course I'm just on veteran but still.
It got way overbuffed recently. Now the number two mod in terms of damage.
@SheenShots oh ok, that makes more sense. I have only just started playing again like 2 weeks ago, didn't know they were still buffing and nerfing stuff
Sandstorm is a killer
Doesn’t mention the ammo regen on cube room or that defrag is good as a team/support mod.
Someone doesn’t play with friends, huh
I did not mention them because they are mostly pointless. The ammo regen on cube room is not enough of a benefit to make up for it doing nothing else. And defrag is a terrible team support mod. The mod is bad because it requires a lot to make it work. While you can also use many other mods to buff your teams damage or support them. Yes I play coop, no I don't think anyone should ever touch Defrag in coop as it just does not do anything better than running corrosion or corrupted rune pistol.
@@SheenShots Great, can't for them to get nerfed
what good in skewer 2.0 is about damage accumulated insttantly, every second in remnant is gold. dang your judging a skill in a playstyle your not familair
Skewer 2.0 was buffed in the most recent patch to be the second best DPS mod in the game. I was judging it on its ability to be terrible. Now it was made to be very good. Just different states of the game.
I dislike it when so many weapons/armors/consumables/mods exist and only a handful are useful for anything harder than normal difficulty.
Good thing that isn't the case in remnant 1 or 2. Yes, there is obviously some that are just better. However, you can beat the game with new character hardcore starting apocalypse without changing starting weapons or dual classing. Play how you like
@@themuffinprincesa21 Yes, and you can beat Dark Souls with a naked level 1 character with only fists, play how you like.
Prismatic Driver is S-Tier no question.
It's ass what you talkin bout?
Trolling
Yeah but.. space crabs
