Great video Jerry thankyou for your time and effort. Seems modern cars can sometimes have too many safety features don't you think? I am awaiting my ZS EV long range still here in UK the waiting times are horrendous but hope the ZS is worth the wait. Would you give us your thoughts on whether the new MG4 long range is a better buy than the ZS long range?? Regards John
Hi John, thanks for your comment. I agree modern cars have so many features and sometimes it can be confusing for people. Unfortunately the MG4 won't come to NZ until 2023. I haven't seen one at all. It is very hard to give much opinion on the MG4 at this stage. I love the new ZS EV though!!!
I’ve driven both, albeit just test drives. The MG4 is more sure footed - rear wheel drive and better balanced whereas the ZS was a bit wallowy round corners and slippery when you put your foot down. Both very comfortable for regular driving though. MG4 charges much faster which might be important if you do longer trips regularly. But if you need boot space the ZS wins out comfortably, and also has the options of sun roof and roof rack which the 4 lacks. Personally I’ve ordered the 4 but I was very tempted by the ZS and it’s still a very good car too
Nice useful information. Thank you so much. Got a question: Once you set some of the safety features will they be in that same position once you have turned the car of and then back on again?
Lane departure warning, etc is exactly that - it's for inadvertent manoeuvres out of the lane. It's not meant to keep you in the lane and it's MEANT to jerk you back. Not sure why you think it's meant to keep you in your lane like the cruise control. That's completely different and it's doing what it's designed to do.
Great video! Thanks very much for sharing your knowledge. Sorry to bug you with Q, but are you aware a way to adjust the ACC so that it does not automatically slow speed at apex of corners? I figured this might lie within MG Pilot however haven't found a way to disable. When driving on ACC (which I otherwise find excellent) vehicle has annoying trait of slowing at the apex of corner.
@@JerryPanandCars Thanks for responding. I figured must be. If the featured slowed coming into a corner it would be sheer genius! However the feature is late and slows at the apex or point where driver would consider accelerating out of the corner rather than slowing... But fairly easily worked around by applying a little right foot.
Is it possible to upgrade the Radio screen to a better resolution OEM vs afterMarket?. Are the HeadUnit & Display screen of the car separate entities vs Single unit?. Do U know?. Thanks.
@@ca46717 I have tried Tesla and Merc standard cruise control before. The system allows the drive to set at a particular speed and drive accordingly. The car will tell you the speed limit info but you are the drive and you set whatever you want the cruise control to work. Unless you are talking about full self pilot or L3 self driving system, that requires a much better sensor plus it is not available in NZ
Hi Jerry, your video stopped with towing mode on. Is it possible switch it off again? Not in my car unfortunately. It will automatically switch on again. Please advise. BR Michel
Hi m8 my front collision system has applied the breaks twice while I was overtaking a vehicle that was turning left when their was no need to do so have you had any experience of this thanks
Terrible 360 degree camera quality. And glad the upcoming MG4 has ditched the stupid stork for the MG Pilot hidden behind the steering wheel! As well the storks on the MG4 look like they have been better designed and tilt up more so can see them better. Hurry up NZ with the MG4! 😀
Don't understand the traffic jam assistance and the cruise control. What is the difference ? Shouldn't the cruise control do the same as the traffic jam assistance ? You setup a speed and the car keeps it
Thanks very much from austria!

Front assist will always be on. Others can be off for NZ version.
Jerry have you figured out how to add the the quick menu using the * button
Yes, it is in the vehicle setting to personalize the star button. I have done it in the next video. Stay tuned!
thanks for your great tips :)
Love all the videos about MG ZS EV. Do you know if in NZ we will get the MG voicecontrol?
Thanks for the support. Unfortunately it is very unlikely to get MG voice control in NZ.
Thanks!
Thank you Peter.

Hi Jerry. very informative video. But my question is does MG offer Leasing option like Honda, Toyota, etc. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Only business leasing in NZ. No manufacturers apart from Honda offer leasing for private buyers. It is much easier to finance the car in NZ.
Please do a video on how to use reverse camera for parking in reverse. Mg zst
Hi how to remove back seat. Need to punt new covers
There are bolts underneath. I don't know exactly though.
Hi Jerry, can we turn the cruise control on while the car is being driven?
Yes of course
hi Great video does the inteligent speed control work with Adaptive speed control or only when you are manually driving the car
The speed limit reading works in both situations but speed limiter control only works when you manually drive the vehicle.

It’s a safety feature. It will automatically slow down around corner on ACC.

Can you make a video of MG ZS connect features and how to use them, thanks
You mean iSmart? It is on the channel.

not possible
Speed limit intelligence should work with the cruise control, so the cruise control would only drive up to the limit
Well that will be insane as cruise control should work to driver’s selection not to a speed sign.
@@JerryPanandCars Tesla's do it,and Merc's

It should be able to be switched off and stay off from then. You can talk to your dealer to look at it if it stays on.

Yes, phantom braking. Happens to all brands. Can get your dealer to check it for you.
Will do thank you

Traffic jam assist steers the car for you
I don’t know about your country but “adaptive” cruise control feature is not available for all countries. It’s funny why MG would do that.
I believe adaptive cruise control is available on most MGs modern cars.
Hi can I know way my mg zs ev 2023 80 battery give me only 190 miles
