I'm from a farming area of Central California but played college golf in Oklahoma. The weather is not great, but the wonderful folks make up for the crazy weather.
Just remember… Oklahoma is a beautiful state. We love it here. Thank you for giving us a chance. It’s usually not what most people think it is and I’m perfectly fine with that. With that said… don’t try to change it to the city you came from. Especially if your from the west coast area. We’re not like that. Never have been and never will be.
Absoutely I'm native to OK most of relatives stayed out in CA after WW2 very divided state nowadays diversity nonexistent and prejudicial if you are of color. It's been going on for centuries!
I’ve lived in Ohio almost my whole life, but have lived in CA, AL and IL for a total of 3.5 years, collectively. Idk why, but my heart has always drawn me to Oklahoma. I’ve never been there, but for some reason I’d love to live there and raise my family there. But I’ll be taking my Buckeye love with me. (And I mean my love for THE Ohio State Buckeyes). I’d just be worried about Oklahoma becoming like CA. I don’t like liberalism. I’m a good ol’ fashioned 33 year old conservative, and love my guns and dirt bike.
@syngeskål No, not at all. Moore the southern suburb of OKC had an EF-5 tornado that killed 24 people in 2013. OKC and Tulsa have been hit by a tornado. Most of Oklahoma is very rural and if there is a tornado it is in the middle of nowhere in western oklahoma.
@syngeskal definitely, Bixby is a southern suburb of Tulsa and NE OK rarely gets tornados, Eastern OK rarely gets tornados due to it being so hilly. Western, especially central western and northwestern OK get the majority of tornados and from OKC down to texas which is the central/south central for tornados. Nobody in Oklahoma is worried about tornados. I live near the center of OKC and can see downtown from my porch. Every Saturday at noon for 3 minutes the tornado sirens go off for testing and the siren in my neighborhood is right in front of my house so it is very loud.
I love Oklahoma. My family has lived in and around Osage county for generations. For the people moving to Oklahoma from places like California or Washington please leave the liberal politics behind. We love the culture here. Blessings
You do not speak for all Oklahoma divided cultural... I'm a native Oklahoman with "liberal" generations that fled to CA in dustbowl days more generational OKies from CA living in CA than make up entire state of OK a misnomer in my opinion standoffish and narrow-minded and displays of prejudice towards minorities.

There is no way for you to have known that my family came to Oklahoma via the trail of tears. We have built a modest way of life that we desire our children and following generations to experience. I have witnessed first hand what liberal politics has done to California, Oregon and Washington. Liberal politicians are voted in by liberal voters. I work for Boeing and was transferred to Oklahoma City in early 2022 from California. It's not bad living here so far. Don't miss the LA traffic. But do miss looking out my window and seeing the snow capped mountains in winter and the sunny beaches in Summer.
okc is a poop hole full of boons that will shoot each other up day, night and moring, 24/7. Course', its all boon violance, 93%. Theres nothing peacefull about living in any city at all. Especially when theres multiple killings by the day. Rural Oklahoma is great. OK. city= doggy doo. Thats why you moved....
Wow. Oklahoma is not what I expected. I might actually consider moving there. What about the tornadoes and hurricanes though? Are there any cities I should avoid?
I wished someone had been honest about the crime and poverty. Oklahoma has had to build a lot in the last 10 years, and that is what newcomers get to see. Take them to a city in Oklahoma, with no public hospital's, or where everyone is on food stamps, and has two pit bulls, and let them talk to those residents.
I was raised in Oklahoma. The nature was beautiful, but the weather has come unhinged with global warming - really extreme. I was caught in a four-hour hailstorm. The culture is one of belief, not thought, not questioning. Questioning is poorly tolerated. They are worried about not believing, the most church-attending, fundamentalist state in the country. They'll ask a complete stranger, within minutes of starting a conversation, about where they go to church, and they'll invite you to church. They have repainted old real-estate signs scattered all over admonishing the locals to invite someone to church. Per capita, they have astronomically the highest rate of state executions. Their Republican government just can't get enough of killing, and it doesn't seem to bother them to torture the convicts to death, either, nor that some of them are innocent. Even some of the Republican legislators are rebelling against the blood-thirstiness of government in Oklahoma. By most quality-of-life measures, Oklahoma is racing Mississippi neck-and-neck to the bottom. I was last there for a little over four years, and I knew only a couple of natives who weren't on antidepressants. Think about that. I had to leave just to get competent medical care to save my life. I won't be going back. Now let's see how many people hate this comment ...

OK is nothing like CA right now. I also lived in Ohio for 18 years. Love it out here!
You’ll love Oklahoma. It’s very racist and backwards.
Sounds like you would love it!
Moved her from Seattle 11 years ago and I love it.

FYI…. I moved here from California recently and most people fleeing California are leaving due to all the liberal minded BS!
Oklahoma is a cesspool of ignorance

I’m looking to buy land or a property in Oklahoma this summer. I live in North Texas now, so it’s close by. Thank you for this video 🌹🙏🏻
I’m moving their in December I’m nervous and excited all I’m the same time.
I moved to Oklahoma from Texas ten years ago and I love it here and don't plan on going anywhere.

Oklahoma city is large, and there are many areas that have different house types, and street layouts.
Thank you! Very encouraging 👍🏾
We welcome people to Oklahoma! If you're from California.....Please don't California this state......
Stupid comment! Stop making Oklahomans sound dumb!
I’m okay with the myths of Oklahoma; keeps down over population.
Of course housing is cheaper than other cities but our cost of living is also different.

No hurricanes, just tornadoes.
Don’t vote democrat this a repub state everyone gets along
If you're a woke liberal stay away you won't fit in but if not come on we'd be glad to have you

It's okay, because I stopped flying on Boeing Jets, after the 737 incident.

Dang...as an Okie...none of that is familiar. OK is a happy & friendly place.
