I love how you are not afraid to do anything that sparks your interest! You also have great friends that fly quite away to help you. Love Milly the cat. Great job!
You're a delight to watch. What I really like about you and your videos is that you're not afraid to learn and try new things. This is very encouraging. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Love how the camper van turned out! What a sense of adventure having something like that you can just jump in and travel anywhere. Guard cat Millie is adorable
You are such an inspiration, Chani! I love your can-do attitude. Glad your friends from Australia were there to help you fit out your Mori with all you need for camping. Again, Millie has given her paw of approval ❤❤❤
I’m amazed how well you can set up your van for camping. All the accessories are brilliant, Japan is so organized. I’m looking forward to your first camping trip with Millie.
Yay another Chani video! The river swim looked wonderfully refreshing. I must say you lucked out with the exceptional skills of your visitors. They installed the insulation, assume they helped with the bidet issue, crafted the bed frame and table for the van, and gifted an awning. Australians, like yourself, seem to be very handy and skilled outdoorsy people. Hope to see more of your river adventures
Thanks again! Yes super lucky to have some amazing people come visit to make it all possible. They sorted the bidet and insulation and van. Not so easy for me to do all of this on my own.
Newly outfitted Mori will make such a great vehicle for traveling and camping. A video series on camping the lovely rivers of Wakayama and surrounding areas would be interesting for visitors or people living in Japan. Japan has so many beautiful rivers that the population can visit to keep cool. Sadly it also seems that the Japanese people don’t really visit these area to swim during the brutally hot summers which I don’t understand If I had icy cold rivers near me I would visit once or twice a month
Thanks. I was originally thinking simple to start but my visitors were really keen to do the build. They love that sort of thing. So I got lucky and went along with it!
What a blessing your two Aussie mates were! Your van is really starting to take shape. Your river adventure looked so inviting - no doubt it will be the first of many. 😊
You made a good choice for Mori the camper van layout, as it provides clear uncluttered space along one side and folding table on the other side. The interior of the Suzuki Kei van, with the back seats folded down, is spacious. The camp site along the bank of the river looks very scenic, with cool mountain stream flowing by.
I just left Canada after 13 years of being there, went back home to start planning my move to Japan within the next 2 years. I really hope I can make it work, especially that am going with. Y wife and two kids. It’s going to be crazy 😂
@@ChaniJapan its exciting 😁. But WOW just moving back home to México after so many years AND with a family Is overwhelming. At times i think a bit more than i can chew. As long as my kids learn spanish and learn a bit of my culture, i Will be happy with that. I am eyeing on going to the Hokkaido prefecture.
You’ve done a great job with the van! I always enjoy watching your videos. I taught English in Japan almost 30 years ago, and your videos bring back beautiful memories. Thank you 🙏 🙂
Keep in mind the Bluetti battery contains a lot of energy and although extremely rare, LiPo battery fires do happen, and are hard to extinguish, and produce lots of nasty smoke. Have a way out: for example if you plan on building the battery into your Eburi, do it so that the battery can be easily forced out if it starts smoking.
How exciting.. That river spot looks fabulous. I love your camper conversion, so nice of your friends to help you get it completed. Looking forward to seeing your adventures as you get out there🌸🌸🌸🌸
Thanks for the upload. I honestly believe you could make such a great business with all your travels. Imagine if you provided a type of travel service for foreigners where you picked them up from the airport, dropped them to a hotel near you (if you don't want people in your house), then pick them up the next day and take them camping. Many of us can drive but don't want to in another country and also the language barrier can be an issue also whereas you could provide the link to those and now you are getting to know so many awesome camping places. You could offer a service that's hard to find as there are already so many tour guides that will show groups of people the tourist type destinations. So many travelers don't want to see all the tourist type destinations and are curious about people's everyday lives. You've shown us some amazing camp sites and given us insight into the culture - shown us the onsens and interesting things like the cat train and that cat place you went to. That's part of the reason I follow you and Life in Japan - because you're all Westerners navigating your way to a respectful life in Japan and that is truly fascinating. My uncle, aunt and cousins went hiking on the camino trail a while ago. They regularly travel and my uncle hates doing anything commercialised / tourist activities so whilst doing the camino, they stayed along the journey at people's houses (pre arranged). My uncle wanted his family to be able to experience life in Japan rather than a holiday as such. It's been fascinating seeing the photos.
@@ChaniJapan I hope you are okay. I don't even know you but I am an Aussie and going to visit Japan in February and after seeing the floods today, was wondering if you and your cat are safe. The carpet squares on the floor really finished it off nicely. Looks great.
