Im hoping ALL Pokemon seasons & ALL Yu-Gi-OH! tv-shows will be re-released on DVDs with the Original, unaltered & uncut Japanese versions on DVD, including those episodes that didnt air outside Japan.
For what it's worth, in North America they made a season 1-19 DVD set.

I will never understand why a series like pokemon (or any that has been running as long) doesn't get a worldwide release of something like this.
There would be many reasons but it is disappointing
I will never understand why they dont release Pokemon with the original japanese, unchanged, uncut & uncensored version, we as anime fans SHOULD be able to choose wich version we wanna see them in!
It's because the "North American Release is censored", the Japanese version is more violent and has some nudity, that's why the "North American Release" wasn't had "Japanese audio"
This set was absolutely gorgeous and it's a damn shame that we over here in the United States get shafted with our home releases. Seasons 15-19 are only available in their individual volume sets, and not as complete box sets like the seasons before and after that chunk.
I really hope they re-release it for the 25th anniversary!

If you're Australian you can get it from Sanity or JBHiFi for $300 AUD otherwise unfortunately it doesnt seem to be released worldwide. Its great

If these masters of the indigo league are anything to go by Magna Entertainment were always using VCD's for the earlier seasons before finding their way in the Advanced era making them even better than VIZ's releases it still confuses me to this day that these were they were the only company that felt the need to cut off nearly all of Brocks interactions with Misty mocking him on sealing a promise with a kiss and just never explaining to the viewer why and who set the traps to stop intruders going into the hidden village in the episode Bulbasaur and the Hidden village.. oh that and non stop bitrate crack sounds in many eps.
I decided against this because Pokemon is on ongoing series, so there will be more releases after the 20 in this set. Also, Beyond (who took over the DVD sets from Magna) have stopped doing the "slimline" season sets that are in this mega-set. At one time they did the Collectors Edition which are in card slipcases, then this was followed by a cheaper "slimline" set in an standard Amaray case, like the ones in this set. But for some reason they stopped doing the slimline ones. In fact there is no such release for Season 20 you can buy on it's own, only the Collector's Edition. Beyond did a very good job though, when they took over from Magna (who did season 1-13), the only thing they changed was to have a small "B" logo instead f an "M", otherwise the case designs are exactly the same. Lots on companies wouldn't have cared enough about people with collections to do that. The Collector sets look great on the shelf.
Nice box Pete, I didn't realise you were such a fan. Hefty price but like you say, have to do the math. Has this been out a while? Try to get back on a review, that would be good.
Thanks! Yeah i love the anime but never got that far in. Im definitely a casual fan but hope to change that. Its like 30c per episode which 8s much more palatable. I believe its only just come into Sanity stores, my local hadn't even un packed it yet! :)
Just got this myself from Sanity. It was released on 14th of November this year (2018) i believe. Also available from JB hifi but i found Sanity to be cheaper

I can't believe it. 300$ for all 20 seasons. In germany a publisher started to release the seasons based on your Australian release. after releasing the first two seasons for around 40€ they moved on and released season 17-19 and that's it.
WOW, THAT IS THE ULTIMATE POKEMON DVD SET, 20 FULL SEASONS, TOO BAD IT DOESN'T INCLUDE THE MOVIES, THEY SHOULD MAKE SETS LIKE THAT FOR SHOWS LIKE SESAME STREET, THE SIMPSONS ETC. CAUSE THOSE SHOWS HAVE LASTED FOR OVER 30 YEARS, I WONDER IF THIS SET WILL EVER BE AVAILABLE IN NORTH AMERICA, BUT IMAGINE THE COST, BUT IT WOULD BE LIKE THE MOTHER OF ALL GIFTS FOR POKEMON LOVERS AND ANIME FANS

my best pokemon is pekachow I haven seen all of season 1 yet I am on colekshon 16 just orderd 17 and is there a season 2 and more ore is season 1 just it and haw menny pokemon movies are there
21 seasons and the 22nd main series movie just came out not including detective pikachu cause it is a spin-off.
So allot of episodes to go :D
Note that it is hard to tell if the movie specials are included in the dvd box set collection
The movies aren't included as they aren't included in seasons 1-20 of the TV show
This is painful, I'm from the UK and for the last year since finally getting a job I have been trying over and over to find any box sets for Pokémon, I'm not sure those ebay and Amazon listings that show Googles photos of the boxsets are fake or not and they are too expensive to take a chance, I'm even debating buying a region free DVD player despite already owning consoles to run my DVD's because the only collection I've found is from Australia. RIP.

@@aliciagyllenskog5559 I believe you can order this online, but you will need to buy a multi-region DVD player because the discs are made for Australia and Oceania use only. They aren't that expense, only about 30 quid.

omfg, i had no idea something like this existed. So many questions. First what is the price of this gargantuan box set? Where can buy the set and will it play on a PS4/PS5 since the system is not region locked and also is the episodes in english. If it meets all these requirements, I might import it myself if the price is reasonable. I did at one point spend 700 dollars on a Legend of galactic heroes premium set that looked similar in size so. Most of all though where I can find it, i tried searching online and I can't seem to locate it anywhere. Also is this uncensored or does this contain viz broadcast edition.

Hey Peter, a question for you. Is the "Holiday HiJinks" episode from Season 1 still there or not? It often gets removed. It is typically around episode 38 or 39.

Yes there is: Pokeomon Sun and Moon: Ultra Adventures is out as a Collector's Edition set. It seems that Beyond have stopped doing the "slimline" lower cost versions. There is no such for Season 20 except as part of this mega-set.
ALL episodes of Pokémon needs to be re-released on DVD with the original, uncut, unedited & uncensored japanese version!
Err… no. They will never unban the porygon seizure episode or the beauty and the beach episode or the jynx episode or the dratini episode for good reason because it’s a KIDS show. Others are missing because of disasters aka earthquakes or failing to air or just due to unfortunate racist stereotypes/wars. You’re either ignorant to why they’re banned not “censored” or you’re just a mislead kid that doesn’t understand.

I would not recommend "Sanity Music" to get this boxset, they're horrible I payed $299 au dollars up front for mine to wait long then a month, and half of the stores that have it the people have only paid a little on it for layby and the online store sold out just recent which my local store could of got a copy from the online store. -_-

@@PetesPopculture one more quick question, I've noticed the quality on many DVDs from the aus distributor is, to say the least, awful, you actually get better quality from pirate bay ironically, so I'm wondering, what if the quality of the ones you got?
@@1001100111000 the quality isn't great but im pretty sure thats because they haven't done anything to modernise the show. Even when streaming pokemon online it looks dated
