- Hey Arnold! is finally here in a Complete Series boxed 16-disc DVD set of awesomeness! What could be better than that? Well, how about an extremely reasonable price. This is a Walmart exclusive, and it is a beautiful package containing one of the best Nicktoons from the '90s. So if you don't already have this, go pick this up today! Do it! lol
Released in stores on Tuesday, August 20, 2014. I think I may have mistakenly said the 19th in the video but it makes no difference really.
NOTE: This is the first video I'm uploading to this channel. Not much of an introduction here, but I'm going to make this channel for my DVD/Blu-Ray unboxings and reviews. I'll hopefully make some sort of intro video at some point letting you all know what this channel is about. I still laugh a few months ago walking into walmart and seeing this set for $20. I did not hesitate to pick it up!
+JRRacing64 I still can't believe they are selling it that low. I have been tempted on many occasions just to pick up a second backup copy because they are so cheap. One of these days I might just do it and keep a sealed copy on display or something. How can you beat $20 for this? Unbelievable!

My husband bought this at amazon for me for like 34$ I think because I told him this was my favorite show when I was a kid lol
Great review. I am so glad they finally came out with the complete series boxset because for the longest time I couldn't find the individual seasons and I still don't have season 5 so I'm really glad I was able to get this boxset. The only downside was having to pay 36 something with tax through Amazon because I missed out on walmarts exclusive deal but that still wasn't a bad price to pay for the whole series.
***** Thanks! $36 is still a really great price. I'm really not sure why it was so cheap at Walmart but I suppose that's the way Walmart is. They probably said that either Shout! Factory gives it to them for that really cheap price or they wouldn't sell it at all.

I payed $40 for mine, being a Canadian, but never, never could regret it. I would love to add the Jungle movie to my dvd set and first movie :)
It's not just a 1990's show as it ended in 2004. I was born in 92 and probably watched it from 99 to 04

I found it at walmart! Only one left on the shelf. Got it with a $25 gift card left from Christmas.

Thanks for the video. I was worried that with it being such a cheap price that the quality of the packaging would be bad, but it seems fine. I wish you went into detail about any video quality differences, but still a good video.
LiGohan You mean video quality differences between the individual season releases? They are the same exact discs, so no difference at all (if that's what you're asking).

I really wish they had some behind the scenes or special features for this show. Craig Bartlett clearly had a lot of love and passion of this series and would be cool to see any storyboards or artwork for it.
***** Yeah I agree, that would have been awesome. Unfortunately, if they had those bonus features, it would have costed more to make the set, so that's probably one reason why they didn't do that. I would have paid extra but maybe other people wouldn't have.

Excellent videos. I've known about this series for years. So glad I waited. I always try to wait for complete series sets. I only wish that the HA film, and Jungle Movie, would be included, or thrown together in a box set.
Are they uncut and unedited episodes? Do these offer closed captioning or subtitles? Unfortunately, closed captioning does not broadcast via HDMI cables, although when watching my TV DVR , closed captioning works just fine, and that's hooked up with an HDMI cable, unless it's going through the TV cable, I don't know?
Personally, I hate these new thin cardboard outer sleeves where everything is just folded and slip together. I miss the quality outdoor slipcovers, where it was a sturdy box with no open seams like that.

This set is being released on November 11 and is around $35. Not as good as $18, but that's still a very reasonable price for this set. I actually own Season 1 and S2 Part 1 already, so will pick this up instead.

Walmart still has this for 19.96. I was shocked when I saw two still on the shelf.
Out of stock online and eBay it's going for over $45 amazon as well. At least I could watch it on here. I but disappointed I wish I knew earlier so I could have purchased right away. I'm going to Walmart tomorrow but I doubt they'll have it.

The hey Arnold complete series is awesome all the episodes on DVD on the disc. Is it region 1, can they release it in england its really cool.
Unfortunately my copy that I got from Wal-Mart didn't come with an episode list. Which is.. kind of annoying, really. Like if I wanted to find a particular episode, I'd just have to go by the season and how far the episode is in the season and judge which disc it'd be in.

So im confused theres a 100 episodes total but the box only says 99
Season 4 and Season 5 are in stores not shouts site.
I'm confused. It says 'All 99 Episodes' but Hey Arnold has 101 episodes (including the original pilot) and a movie so that set is missing two episodes, and the movie of course. So not sure what is going on there. I have the German complete series set which includes all 101 episodes.
FinalFantasyFan92 I'll add an episode list for each disc in my video description. Then perhaps you could take a look and let me know how your German set differs. I'm not really sure what the missing two episodes would be. Though I can confirm that this set does not include the movie...That's sold separately.
FinalFantasyFan92 Actually, I think I just figured it out. First of all, the pilot episode is NOT included in this USA release (very unfortunate). Second, this collection counts the episode 'The Journal' as one episode, even though it is technically two episodes with a Part 1 and a Part 2. That brings it down to 99 episodes. Though I don't quite understand why they didn't just count 'The Journal' as two separate episodes and call it 100...That would have been better in my opinion.

I own the German release and you are not missing anything. The plot for the pilot was later used in season 1 episode 19, "24 Hours to Live". The only difference is that the original pilot featured different character designs.
Yeah, '24 Hours to Live' is pretty much identical to the pilot, but it still would have been nice if they would have included it as a bonus feature anyway. But still, I can't complain when I bought this set for just $20.

***** Yeah, that's because people are buying copies at Walmart and selling them for outrageous prices on other websites because Walmart is the only place you can get it right now. People might even pay a price like that if they absolutely don't have access to a Walmart store and just need to get their hands on it right away. I do think that eventually this will be available in other places besides Walmart though, and if that happens, online prices will certainly go way down.

1 episode short and it was so close to getting greenlit for a 6th season.
I bought this at Wal-Mart but they weren't in a clear case they were in a black case and i pulled the covers out and they were the same but you couldn't see it because of the black case. Can someone explain this, I know it wasn't bootleg because I got it at Wal-Mart brand new.
Unfortunately they have released some sets of this with black cases. It isn't a bootleg, it's just an unfortunate thing. You might have to buy the DVD cases online or something if it's that annoying.

It is. You probably got black cases so you can't see it. Pull the inserts out and you'll see the episode lists on the back
