Great video and this is my first time on your channel. No bull and straight to the point. I have this on order, I'm driving my supplier up the walls. You make a great point concerning the weight for video but for stills, it's the job
I have it and the weight is an issue. Asides that, I have noticed that i tend to hit the button the lens accidentally quite a bit as I am supporting it with the other hand. Is that something you have noticed?
Easily findable on japanese seller at ebay, only reason I’m still didn’t get it is I’m no so convince to give up to some of my primes. I have the tamron 28-200 but It is so cheap that I got it withouts sacrificing any other lens of my collection, and I only use it for when travel of family gathering
Just pulled the trigger on this a couple days ago. Of course it’s still out of stock so I’m in line for whenever Adorama gets more in stock. Excited to have one lens for events and portraiture. Cheers!
Have you tried to record video only handled with this lens ? Can you show how it looks with the active stab on A7IV coz I’m shooting events run and gun almost every time without gimbal..
Hey, every shot in this video that isn’t a couple portrait was handheld but some of it is stabilised. I found it tough to keep it steady handheld but the footage is easily stabilised. I also recommend a cage + handle to keep it steady
Damn that's a heavy lens, is it worth the versatility though?
100%, I will never go back to a 24-70/70-200, ever. Tamron is the only manufacturer that is pushing the technical limits of lenses.
@@realBatman same! This is a rental but when I can finally get hold of one I can’t see me using the regular zooms for anything other than travel.
